Dec 4 05:17:52 Fallen Girl ♥ 1 Good game! I like the art style and the sound design's pretty good too. I appreciated how you executed on the tutorial but it was hard to figure out the one that was trying to explain the mechanic of jumping in midair. The mechanic of sacrificing a heart or taking a handicap was very clever and a good use of theme. I'd love to see that concept further explored if you continue working on this post-jam. The level design was good in terms of progressively introducing more difficult concepts, but I felt it was designed in such a way that I was always banging the player character's head on things every time I jumped which makes the "feel" of the game not as good as it could be. That said, you nailed the jumping physics itself: not heavy, not floaty. Great work!
Dec 4 05:30:15 12m 23s Keyboard Twister ♥ 1 Cute little game! Definitely a fun minigame to challenge a friend to. My one criticism is that it didn't feel very relevant to the theme. I liked the way the fingers on the hand stretched to the keys you were pressing. That was a funny way of visually presenting the game that added a nice touch to it overall. Great work!
Dec 4 05:50:54 20m 39s The Sunday Massacre ♥ 2 Great game! You have a fun concept, and I like that you were able to weave a light story into it. The text bubbles popping up next to NPCs as you walk by was a nice touch. Some things that could be improved are that it wasn't clear when I was moving to the next year if that was happening because I lost or won and the camera movement is a big handicap. I was basically walking blindly forward when I wanted to move up or down because the camera doesn't leave space in front of the player character when you move. I'd suggest having the camera follow a point in front of the player character so that you can see where you're walking no matter which direction you turn. Other than that, it was a pretty polished and complete game for only a weekend of work! Great job!
Dec 10 02:01:17 140h 10m Pyme's Genocide ♥ 2 Cool game! Love the art style and the music! Cool concept behind the gameplay too. Only issue was I couldn't get the Web version of the game to work (running in Chrome on Mac). WASD wouldn't move the character, no matter what I tried. Anyways, great work, guys!
Dec 10 02:09:02 7m 45s The Chosen Sheep ♥ 0 Love the art and sound design! The UI locators were a great touch. Only thing this could've used was an in-game tutorial (just explaining the click to move).
Dec 10 02:18:16 9m 14s Miserable Morene and the Raiders of the Gold Blum ♥ 0 Wow, great work! The game itself is very simple but you iterated on the concept really nice with the combo streaks and the eventual enemies with multiple bars of health but of different colors. My only suggestion would be to add a little more description to the "How to play" screen. I didn't immediately understand that you had to click on the enemies directly instead of waiting until they were in front of me and just clicking anywhere. Overall, fun game, good job!
Dec 10 02:33:45 15m 29s Rogues Like Beer ♥ 1 Beautiful art and interesting puzzle platforming mechanics! Haven't played anything like this in a game jam before. Great work!
Dec 10 03:15:25 41m 40s Sacrificio Inc. ♥ 1 Love the mix of Pipe Dream and Number Slide puzzle mechanics! The art style was beautiful and I wish we could have seen more of the characters since I really liked their animation style. The controls were a little awkward for computer but I imagine it's perfect for mobile. Great work!
