| Apr 26 06:33:38 | Shoot 'em Down | ♥ 1 | Pretty sure this is the first time I've seen a "shoot 'em down" - clever. Also, loved the dialogue, which was actually pretty funny. | |
| Apr 26 06:51:02 | 17m 24s | Search for the Undergem | ♥ 1 | I'm very impressed by the look and feel of this game. The instructions, etc, all really nicely done. Unfortunately, I dug around for quite a while, had to self destruct many times, and never found a gem. Still, really like the effort and attention to detail. |
| Apr 26 07:01:34 | 10m 32s | Click Miner | ♥ 1 | I enjoy entries that are simple and fun, and this one gives both. Already noted is the lack of audio. Something really quiet in the background maybe, and a few subtle effects each time you click and when you hit the mark. Anyway, well done. |
| Apr 26 16:43:57 | 9h 42m | Down the Dwarvern Hole | ♥ 2 | You've really done a lot here in a short time, and I like the fact that you did the voice acting with some good humour. I ran into one problem where I couldn't finish a level, and couldn't self destruct on enemies, so I was stuck with no way to restart the level. |
| Apr 26 18:00:48 | 1h 16m | Deeper Into The Asteroid Belt | ♥ 5 | Totally reminded me of the old Asteroids game. I really like how they break up into smaller bits. The rockets attacking you was confusing at first, but it adds more challenge, and in fact you can use them to your advantage if you dodge at just the right time. |
| Apr 26 18:06:01 | 5m 13s | Minor Inconvenience | ♥ 1 | The core idea here is clever. I'd like to see a slightly longer intro, just a few more seconds at the top. Would be a good opportunity to add something funny. |
| Apr 27 03:18:50 | 9h 12m | Gregory`s Mine | ♥ 1 | This is not my style of game at all, but it totally sucked me in and I played right to the end. High marks all around. |
| Apr 27 03:26:17 | 7m 27s | Digger & Diggur | ♥ 4 | This game really hits it on the innovation scale. It's the first time I've come across at 2-player game, but I still had fun playing it alone. I'm going to save this one and play it with my family later. |
| Apr 27 03:49:33 | 23m 16s | Journey To The Center Of The World | ♥ 2 | Saw your share, thought I'd come by and check out your game. One thing I'd like to see is the difficulty level ramp up a lot more quickly. Give the player a chance to get used to the game, then start hitting them with some real challenges. Especially in a jam setting where people are spending at most a couple of minutes per game. |
| Apr 27 15:22:12 | 11h 32m | Wormhole Adventurer | ♥ 1 | Zoomed around this universe for a while. I think this type of game probably needs more time to play. Definitely some good potential here, and some great work for a compo entry. |
| Apr 27 21:31:52 | 6h 09m | Who Designed This Ship?! | ♥ 1 | There is some potential here! I think what it needs to be more fun is another aspect to the gameplay. For example, more than two control options. Perhaps one that makes you move up a little, or down. Or one that makes you move faster in either direction. Difficulty level is another way to improve a game like this. I've come across some games that are way too easy. In this case, it feels a little too hard right at the start. |
| Apr 27 23:28:57 | 1h 57m | Fall Queen | ♥ 1 | Definitely a winner. Something that could be played a lot of. I'd say it's the perfect amount of difficulty right from the start. Very nicely done. |
| Apr 28 00:47:23 | 1h 18m | Deeper Than You Think | ♥ 1 | Very clever. It takes a few tries to figure out what's going on, but it's actually pretty fun. One problem I ran into was that I bought too much O2 by accident and wasn't able to find enough money for the flashlight before dying trying to randomly search in the dark. I guess that's part of the challenge. Congrats on the great game. |
| Apr 28 06:13:59 | 5h 26m | Into the Abyss (Deeper and Deeper) | ♥ 3 | Really enjoyed the calm nature of this game. I guess the goal is to move the least possible to save energy, which I didn't catch right away. Another way to make this more challenging faster would be to have debris rising up as well which would damage you. Overall, a neat idea. |
| Apr 28 06:19:38 | 5m 39s | Deep Dive | ♥ 1 | I like the fact that there was a bit of a story behind even a simple game. I had an issue though. When pressing the down arrow key, the browser (Firefox) was responding to it and moving the screen down as well. Never seen that happen with a web game like that. |
| Apr 28 06:24:39 | 5m 01s | Rocket Philosophy | ♥ 2 | Really love platformers that do something different. Easy to pick up on, mechanics that are natural. All around a great game, well done. |
| Apr 28 16:24:05 | 9h 59m | Roots Puzzle | ♥ 1 | This game stands out among so many more typical ones. I really liked the idea here, and am going to bookmark this for later. It also looks like you put some good effort into level design, so nice work on that as well. |
| Apr 28 20:47:32 | 4h 23m | Submersive | ♥ 0 | Once I got going this was a lot more fun than it first appeared. I think I may have broken it though, as I ended up as a flying sub. Very cool game for the amount of time available.Screen Shot 2021-04-28 at 1.46.05 PM.png |
| Apr 29 18:01:07 | 21h 13m | DrillDrill: The Quest for Diamonds | ♥ 1 | Good marks here for the music. It caught my attention right away. |
| Apr 29 20:15:23 | 2h 14m | Gold Mine & Debt Relief | ♥ 1 | Only the second game I've played in LD48 so far that really had that scary feeling of "what's coming around the corner?" The only thing that tripped me up was that WASD moved you in exactly that direction, and not in relation to which way the character is looking. Anyway, looks like a good tough game, one that needs a little more time to really get good at. Nicely done. |
| Apr 30 00:38:22 | 4h 22m | D. Per & Dee Per: Treasure Hunters | ♥ 1 | I appreciate a good platformer, and you went the extra mile of making a multi-character one. I think I'll bookmark this - my kids will love it. I might play it too -- if I have time. My one criticism is that the intro is a little long. Let me move through the text faster, or put more of it on the screen at once. I only suggest this for jam games because people want to get to the game really fast. Anyway, nice work on this. Good marks from me! |
| Apr 30 00:48:29 | 10m 07s | Made in the Deep | ♥ 2 | Really love the style. Made it a ways in, without fully understanding how to properly use the jump bar. Still, it was fun and something totally different. |
| May 1 22:01:00 | 45h 12m | Piranha Drama | ♥ 1 | The cute fish add a certain level of creepiness. I would have liked a way to escape the fish, or be able to sustain a couple of fish bites, but a fun little game and nicely done for a COMPO entry. |
| May 1 22:14:14 | 13m 14s | Detective Insider | ♥ 1 | By the sounds of it, there's a lot of content here for a short amount of time. Only had a few minutes to play, but this looks really interesting. Nicely done. |
| May 4 19:22:48 | 69h 08m | Swing Shroom | ♥ 1 | Really enjoyed this game, something uncommon and well done for a short jam. I like the swinging mechanic. A note to anyone playing on the web, it took me about 5 minutes to load the game for some reason. Anyway - well done! |
| May 7 16:29:44 | 69h 06m | Jewellery Journey | ♥ 1 | This was actually really fun. I would like to see more games that are simple, easy to get into, and that you can just start playing. Well done on this. |
| May 12 22:44:42 | 126h 14m | Bulldozer By The Sea | ♥ 1 | Super fun. High marks across the board. I think this would be really great with a controller for directional movement as I tend to get tripped up thinking "W" is move ahead rather than the upward direction. Anyway, awesome job on this. |
| May 12 23:00:14 | 15m 32s | Dikes & Polders | ♥ 1 | This looks really nice, very impressive for a game jam. Looks like there's some depth here and will need to come back to explore a bit more. I'm not sure why, but there wasn't any "water", just empty or black space. Maybe a browser glitch or something (Firefox, Mac OS). Very nicely done. |
| May 18 16:58:21 | 137h 58m | GA GAME ME | ♥ 1 | This is really clever, definitely a great concept and a good use of the theme. All I can ask for is to be able to use Space to jump too. Very well done. |
| May 18 18:44:54 | 1h 46m | Random Deep | ♥ 0 | Interesting idea. Had some issues with key presses (space). Overall it seems like there is some good potential, but with a limited time frame (a few minutes), the game objective and workflow needs to be a little more well defined. |
| May 18 19:02:51 | 17m 57s | I have no idea what I'm doing, but it won't stop me | ♥ 1 | Well, you've made a platformer, so there's that! I keep working with other simpler 2D formats due to time. Anyway, congrats on using a course to help build something and at least get it launched! |
