Oct 6 18:01:42 I want to go ♥ 1 The idea is pretty cool and some of the puzzles are clever (like jumping down into de spikes and throwing the respawn point to safe ground before dying), although the controls are pretty bad. Trying to land a jump where I want is really difficult, the part with a heart between spikes is frustrating. I'd recommend making A and D give you acceleration to the left or right instead of a constant speed, that way if I'm going right I can tap A to slow down or stop, which gives me a lot more control (if you implement something like this don't forget to have a max speed). Also having the camera look ahead is really good, but when you turn around the camera should move slower, right now it's too fast. The things I mentioned are a part of making your first game, so don't feel bad about it. You should be proud that despite all that it was still fun and personally the respawning mechanic made me feel proud of solving one of the puzzles, which isn't a super easy thing to do. Congrats!
Oct 6 18:19:17 17m 35s L.O.S.S. - Looped Orbital Space Shooter ♥ 3 Wow this is pretty fun. The yellow things sometimes feel a bit unfair, specially since it's hard to aim, but only in the higher orbits. I really like how the music slowly builds up when going up orbits!
Oct 6 20:12:53 1h 53m Super Platypus Drifter ♥ 3 Pretty cool. I think the charge UI should be attached to the player instead of on the corner. Also in my opinion the orbits shouldn't have a set direction, they should just spin you in the direction closest to the speed you had going in. And it's weird that you can go offscreen. I'm just saying the negatives here but I actually really liked the game. The platypus theme is great, the dialogs are fun!
Oct 6 20:20:45 7m 52s Duck In A Loop ♥ 0 Cool name and cool idea. The camera could probably stay behind the duck so you can see forwards. And there could be a current pushing you along so you can't stay in place.
Oct 6 20:31:45 11m 00s Please Just Leave ♥ 2 Pretty cool! I liked the script and the singing. I think I found a few bugs: -You can walk off screen to the left at the beginning before you're supposed to, and after the camera pans left you can walk off screen to the right. -I entered the door on the far left before the narrator finished a sentence and two voice lines overlapped.
Oct 6 20:43:00 11m 15s The Monkey Weekend ♥ 0 Nice concept and cool cylinder effeect. I spent most of the day just jumping around trying to see which objects I can interact with. I don't think the days should have a time limit if the idea is for you to figure things out by yourself.
Oct 6 23:16:43 2h 33m Orbits ♥ 1 Very good! It took me a while to understand because I didn't read the page before playing but that's on me lol. Obviously an in-game tutorial would have been better but it's a jam and clearly the time you didn't put into a tutorial was very well spent.
Oct 7 23:42:23 24h 25m Monotony ♥ 1 This type of game isn't for me, but it seems well done in the little time I played. I think for this type of game you can't lack music.
Oct 8 00:18:13 35m 50s Time Loop ♥ 0 The enemies spawn too fast! And there doesn't seem to be any music. Also there's no reason to move, you can just sit still and shoot. Still, I had fun playing and the graphics are simple but look good, which, as a programmer with no art skill myself, I can respect.
Oct 8 00:25:36 7m 23s WhileLoops ♥ 1 AMAZING GAME!!!! Loved everything, the humour is on point. Maybe it could use some balancing to make sure you can't lose to bad luck, although I'm pretty sure it was my fault lol
Oct 8 00:31:46 6m 10s Hammy the Hamster ♥ 2 Good physics based puzzle design! It's not a trivial thing to do, congrats! The hamster seems to shake a bit if you slow down to a stop.
Oct 8 00:35:38 3m 52s Recurso ♥ 2 I like the idea but there are only two levels :( It's nothing mindblowing but I think it has potential. With music, better graphics and some quality level design it could make a really good game!
Oct 8 00:46:37 10m 59s A Good Way to Die ♥ 1 Top notch game design, art and music! The one room game is a really good use of the theme. It's nice to see someone else using godot! Next time don't forget to use: if OS.has_feature("HTML5"): $YourExitButtonName.queue_free() # or you could use: # $YourExitButtonName.disabled = true # $YourExitButtonName.modulate = Color.transparent # If you're using a VBox/HBox Container and don't want to mess up the positioning of the buttons, that's what we did
Oct 10 20:28:52 67h 42m Caterpillar Cowboy ♥ 0 Amazing amazing amazing. Going for music with lyrics for a jam is a hell of a gamble and it turned out really well, congrats.
Oct 10 20:34:17 5m 25s AutoMate ♥ 1 The idea, gameplay, music and art are very cool. The controls felt a bit too loose for my taste, barely touching D will blast you in that direction really fast, a bit too fast for the size of the spaces you move in. Everything else was top notch.
Oct 10 20:39:23 5m 06s Orbitrary ♥ 1 Cool game! For a jam game it had more mechanics than I was expecting. The health, meteors, collectables, the blast that happens in a portion of the circle, the red circles that seemed to home in on me and maybe I missed something else. It's simple but it has depth, really nice.
Oct 11 19:16:55 22h 37m Looper ♥ 0 AMAZING presentation. And the main mechanic and level design are on point as well. Over all great game ^_^
Oct 13 11:44:35 40h 27m Line of Attack ♥ 3 Really cool, I had some fun! Trying to time attacks properly so as to hit enemies from behind and also going through doors is kinda hard, you have to observe their path carrefully. I feel like this limits the action a bit. Personally I'd make the camera move a lot less so you are forced to only attack enemies in close/mid range.
Oct 13 11:56:58 12m 23s Tomb of the Mummy RL ♥ 1 Pretty fun ASCII art game. I didn't really use the wind gust a lot in the easy LD version but I haven't played the post-jam version.
Oct 16 16:24:15 76h 27m Groove Interpolator ♥ 0 Interesting. I feel like it would greatly benefit from a grid and snapping for stretching and squashing bars.
Oct 16 16:31:14 6m 59s Onrail ♥ 2 Pretty cool. Pausing with esc on a web itch game is a bad idea, since esc is used for escaping fullscreen, so you can only pause with esc if you're not in fullscreen.
