| Oct 5 17:36:49 | Hyperbolic Space Fighters Extreme! | ♥ 1 | This is definitely mind-bending. Fantastic visuals and a very intriguing concept. It's difficult to determine where you are and where your shots will go, but that's also what makes it interesting. I think some sound effects would have gone a long way, even just simple ones for shots and exploding polygons. | |
| Oct 5 17:43:56 | 7m 07s | Creatures of the Sky | ♥ 1 | I agree that the title card screen is very well done pixel art, nice job. The bleak mood is very fitting for 2020 and is well done. I would've liked more openness to exploring. Maybe instead of just telling me I can't go in a certain direction, use the environment to prevent travelling in certain directions. |
| Oct 5 17:49:21 | 5m 25s | Red Venom | ♥ 2 | I like the pixel art here. It was easy to determine what was terrain vs enemies, except at first I didn't realize the grey blocks were in the background... I was trying to avoid them. I didn't have any problems with my shots landing, though I did run into a bug where I died, shots were coming from the empty space I used to be at, then I died again before respawning. Other than that, it was fine. Nice work on this! |
| Oct 5 17:53:44 | 4m 23s | Star Loop | ♥ 0 | Congrats on completing your first Ludum Dare! Just completing a game and submitting it is a huge accomplishment. I'll echo what others have said in that it was a difficult game and the controls are hard to manage. It seems like you're new to Godot, so it's impressive that you finished the game in time with it. Nice work! |
| Oct 5 17:57:32 | 3m 48s | Vortex Loop | ♥ 0 | This is a difficult game! Not because of anything you did wrong, but because I suck at timing my releases. This has the "just one more try" addiction factor to it. The mechanic is simple and fits the theme well. Simple graphics and audio, but they fit the game well. Overall, nicely done. |
| Oct 5 18:09:27 | 11m 55s | T.A.P.E. Acquiring Proof Expertly | ♥ 1 | Congrats on finishing your first game jam! The pixel art and the humor are spot on, and everything works well with the theme. I will say I had to take my headphones off because of the letter sounds got very annoying very fast. Overall though, very impressive, especially for your first jam. |
| Oct 5 18:26:36 | 17m 09s | Looping Stuck | ♥ 1 | The use of light here is excellent. The controls were intuitive and precise. The story is personally relatable, and chilling. Nicely done! |
| Oct 5 18:36:56 | 10m 20s | Hyperloop hell | ♥ 3 | Boom, I blew up. I like the pixel art and the music was pretty catchy. It's nice to see a good story. The "x" to interact was a little buggy and the pixel font was hard to read at times, but other than that, this was a great experience. Nice work! |
| Oct 5 18:43:25 | 6m 29s | The Hand That Feeds | ♥ 1 | This was absurdly hilarious. Nicely done. As the parent of four children, I can attest to the accuracy of this simulation. |
| Oct 7 19:39:57 | 48h 56m | Stuck in the Office | ♥ 1 | I don't know what the problem is, but I'm not able to get past the menu screen. When it starts up, the Play option is grayed out, then it goes to normal, but I'm not able to start the game. It doesn't respond to any input. I haven't rated, but I thought I'd give you a heads up that some people might not be able to play your game. |
| Oct 7 19:42:46 | 2m 49s | Kill the Zombies | ♥ 1 | Wow those are some fast zombies! I can't seem to last very long. Congrats on finishing your game. It takes skill to manage your time in order to complete your game by submission, and you did it. It's definitely an accomplishment. |
| Oct 7 19:47:12 | 4m 26s | HELPMACBOOKRUN3D | ♥ 1 | I'm quite confused as to why there are geese on the keyboard... A bizarre but definitely unique and challenging game. I would have liked more freedom to go where I wanted on the keyboard, but that might have made it too easy. |
| Oct 7 19:56:56 | 9m 44s | RING LANCER | ♥ 2 | Great game. I would have liked to see health pickups. I got to 33k points and then died! I'll have to try again later to hit that 40k threshold and see what surprise is in store. |
| Oct 7 20:03:00 | 6m 04s | Lily The Bee | ♥ 2 | I really liked the story and atmosphere you created with this. Unfortunately for me, poor Lily wasn't ready for that last wave. I think making the projectile bigger and easier to see would be helpful. It seemed the collision wasn't quite matching up with the size of the projectile. But overall, great job! |
| Oct 7 20:12:33 | 9m 33s | Rat Inc | ♥ 3 | This is a great incremental. The humor is great, the background audio is great, the pixel art is great. I just hope my left/right arrow keys don't fall off now. Great entry! |
| Oct 8 18:40:00 | 22h 27m | Free The Rollies! | ♥ 1 | This was a great game! Reminded me a lot of Mouse Trap. It was very polished and other than some minor wonky physics, everything worked great. |
| Oct 8 18:48:53 | 8m 53s | Looping Condor 3000 | ♥ 1 | It took me a minute to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but once I did it was pretty straightforward to play. I like that you added more levels and difficulty. |
| Oct 8 18:53:08 | 4m 15s | Grinding Gears | ♥ 1 | Great puzzle game idea! The graphics were really nice and the ambient audio and the sound effects made for a good atmosphere. The only thing that threw me off was the camera angles when switching from one room to the next. It was disorienting me every time. Overall though, this is a great game. |
| Oct 8 18:57:23 | 4m 15s | Twist Turn Shoot Burn | ♥ 1 | This is a pretty intense game. Trying to keep the controls straight in my head to get the guy to do what I wanted was a real challenge. I don't know if that's a flaw though, as it definitely lended to the challenge of the game. The visuals/audio are great and the tutorial at start while simple, was spot on and very helpful. Nice work! |
| Oct 8 19:01:41 | 4m 18s | Bjorn to Dance | ♥ 0 | I'm terrible at these kinds of memory games, but I had fun with this. The aesthetic of the game is awesome and very well done, not to mention hilarious. Great job on this! |
| Oct 8 19:09:53 | 8m 12s | Loop Frogs | ♥ 2 | This is a great game. The puzzles were well designed and I really liked the looping mechanic. One thing I didn't like was that on the jet flame traps, the brown frog was killed by touching them even if they were being disabled by the green frog. My expectations were that once disabled, the entire thing was harmless. |
| Oct 8 19:51:30 | 41m 37s | Stasis Break | ♥ 1 | I really like the visuals of this game. The effects were spot on and really cool. Great job! |
| Oct 8 19:55:56 | 4m 26s | Space Drummer | ♥ 3 | Wow, what a great idea. I love that I made my own beat at the beginning and it affected the game. The level of polish and attention to detail was excellent. Great job on this one! |
| Oct 8 19:59:16 | 3m 20s | Arround | ♥ 1 | I like the straightforward gameplay. I also really liked the pixelated galaxy effects and how they slowly change. I would have liked the game to pick up steam a little faster though. It takes too long into a run for it to get challenging. |
| Oct 8 20:03:13 | 3m 57s | Crypt Loop | ♥ 1 | This is a very clever puzzle mechanic that fits the theme very well. Be careful with using colors as identifiers though, as a significant portion of people are color blind and may not be able to distinguish colors very well. I think in this particular case it's fine, as you get visual feedback on what you're manipulating, but it could pose a challenge. |
| Oct 8 20:11:51 | 8m 38s | AUTOLOOP | ♥ 2 | I love the visual in this game. The looping look was spot on. The controls were pretty tricky compared to most infinite runners, so that added a little bit of frustration to the experience. Overall though, a great game. |
| Oct 8 20:16:24 | 4m 33s | Sad Knight | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience a whole lot of your game, as it started lagging pretty hard after a few minutes, but what I saw was nice. The animation and visuals were pretty good. |
| Oct 8 20:33:23 | 16m 59s | BoreOut! | ♥ 2 | I'm getting a pretty big "Job Simulator" vibe with this, which is cool. I liked the low poly look of the environment, but feel the other employees didn't match the aesthetic as much. Overall, very cathartic and well done. |
| Oct 8 20:35:05 | 1m 42s | Divine Drifter | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately I was unable to try your game. It got to the logo splash screen (the water droplet one) and then crashed. |
| Oct 8 20:38:37 | 3m 32s | SPACELOOP | ♥ 1 | Glad to see a built-in tutorial. That's often overlooked and for someone like me who likes to just jump into the games, it really helps. I like the aesthetics you have here. I did find it tricky to position my ship in the proper place in order to shoot where I intended. I wasn't able to get very far because of this, but maybe it's just because I'm getting old... |
| Oct 8 20:45:48 | 7m 11s | Chamber | ♥ 0 | The level of polish on this is incredible. Very cool idea as well that really fits the theme. Nice work! |
| Oct 14 19:16:58 | 142h 31m | Endless Night | ♥ 0 | I really like the graphics and the mood they set. Very nice job on that. The controls were difficult for me and after only a couple minutes I noticed an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach so I had to exit the game. I think a first person perspective may have been better for me personally. |
