| Oct 10 18:57:00 | Sentience | ♥ 1 | The game/music/story is really well put together and it feels very polished. | |
| Oct 10 19:07:37 | 10m 37s | The Micro Bang | ♥ 1 | It would be nice if the game would start a little bit slower and ramp up over time, sadly with sometimes there being 8 or so rockets in the first minute or so it is really hard to get a grip on what is actually going on. The graphics and the idea is nice. Though it is really hard to get to a point where you actually understand why and what is happening. |
| Oct 10 19:17:22 | 9m 45s | PXL IT | ♥ 1 | I would have liked the pixel you color in to already be their final color so it looks less monotonous while drawing, and I had a problem where it would move me 2 or 3 squares when I pressed the arrow key only once which made some squares hard to reach. But overall I enjoyed playing it for a while and I like the concept. |
| Oct 10 19:25:36 | 8m 14s | Nothing Box | ♥ 1 | Sadly I cant really do anything. I am in a walled of area and when I walk over the axe it just grows. When I press spacebar music starts playing. I am using win 10 with the latest Firefox (64 bit). Are there maybe any special control I need to use? |
| Oct 10 19:34:17 | 8m 41s | Nothing Engine | ♥ 2 | Fun idea for a game jam. And you can actually create some little games. |
| Oct 10 20:14:03 | 39m 46s | Words With Foes: Quest for the Lexinomicon | ♥ 3 | What can I say. Good idea, excellent gameplay, fitting music and graphics. Really made me want to keep playing all the way through. |
| Oct 10 20:31:25 | 17m 22s | Medium-Sized Field Simulator 2019 | ♥ 1 | Interesting concept. Are the plants supposed to die after a certain number of turns alive? I think it would be nice if the plants would have a little more longevity (I am probably doing something wrong). Chill little game. |
| Oct 10 20:58:47 | 27m 22s | Sow Happy. | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea. I like the music and the gameplay(though the creatures weird me out). I even managed to figure out how to satisfy them, sadly I got an out of memory error on the third creature. Still neat game overall. |
| Oct 12 11:01:07 | 38h 02m | Bearly Alive | ♥ 0 | A really nice game. |
| Oct 12 11:12:09 | 11m 02s | You can't see. | ♥ 1 | Its an interesting concept. The shape of the player and the obstacles together with the perspective make it really hard to estimate whether you will touch something or not. And in the tutorial when the game tells you to press space to test it nothing happened for me. In the tutorial it would be nice to be able to have the text appear immediately cause it feels really slow. But overall it was fun playing the game. |
| Oct 12 11:27:05 | 14m 56s | Return to Nothing | ♥ 1 | Nice game. I felt that the beeping when pressing a button was a bit harsh compared to the music and I would like the aliens to also have some sort of agency. Lore wise reading about all the species was interesting. Though I dont understand the darkmatterlings. Their description says that they dont purposely harm anyone, but they are considered evil and when you max their population they talk about using it to destroy their neighbours, that felt a little inconsistent. |
| Oct 12 11:55:38 | 28m 33s | The Little Adventure for Slime | ♥ 1 | I like the idea of the game, it has potential. Sadly I got really frustrated by the controls. Generally the double jump, split and cube/anvil transformation buttons sometimes work, but mostly dont or only while hammering them. It feels like you are only processing one button press at a time (no jumping or splitting while moving etc). Additionally all the controls are pretty awkward to keep your hands on at the same time (tab, space and control) Make sure that you check all buttons down in the runs of the update/fixed update functions and if you have problems with the same button press triggering in multiple runs of the update function try using Input.GetButtonDown since that only returns true in the frame that the button was pressed. I also got weirdly stuck in walls and jumping felt very floaty. Still I like the general concept. |
| Oct 12 12:30:19 | 34m 41s | You Lose. Good Day, Sir. | ♥ 1 | Good concept, nice Graphics, fun and complete story. Not much to say apart from fantastic job. The only thing I have to say is that clicking on the letters is sometimes a bit unresponsive and its weird that you get a higher score overall if you put in more wrong words than if you get it right on the first try, but I guess its not really about the score so it doesnt reall matter. |
| Oct 12 12:45:47 | 15m 28s | Start with "nothing" | ♥ 3 | Nice concept, feels like a mix between Scribblenauts and Alchemy like games. The art also is really nice and goes well with the feel of the game. It would be nice to have the option to continue after you reach the end to see what else you can unlock and the second time I ran it for some reason the things stopped getting bored or interacting with anything in general which made it impossible to finish the game, though I have no idea what triggered that bug. |
| Oct 12 12:57:10 | 11m 23s | From Nothing | ♥ 0 | Neat game. When you click on an enemy to attack the player and enemy wont get close enough to each other so you can hit them, so the player will just stand there swinging in the air. Are the enemies supposed to do damage? For some reason the lighting was also constantly flipping out for me really hard, which made the game hard to look at. (might be good to put an epilepsy warning in the description, just to be safe) |
| Oct 12 13:06:14 | 9m 04s | Stress reaction | ♥ 5 | Really nice game, you really manage to build the atmosphere very well. The voice acting is also a very nice touch. The monsters/encounters/art were also really nice and somewhat scary. The only thing I would have to say that it was incredibly hard for me to differentiate between the dark brown walls and the dark brown floor especially because it is so dark and the flashligt doesnt get impeded by walls. So I was constantly running into walls. |
| Oct 13 18:57:33 | 29h 51m | No Food Nomads | ♥ 0 | I like the gameplay, it makes for an engaging game. Though I dislike that you have to select the upgrades everytime you go down. Whenever I went back I wanted to go down immeadiately instead of selecting the updates one by one. It would probably also be good to make the player start on at the first row actually containing something having to go through emptiness everytime is also making it a bit boring. |
| Oct 13 19:13:25 | 15m 52s | Polterheist | ♥ 2 | Amazing graphics and interesting mechanics. Feels really polished. |
| Oct 13 19:33:21 | 19m 56s | Zmaaone | ♥ 1 | I like the theme and the concept. The graphics are also really well done. I got to the 5th stage though sadly at that point the simulation kept dying on me(pistons not pushing packages, sparks randomly vanishing, game stopping to work with overlapping sounds). Though I enjoyed the first few levels, even though I practically did not use the diodes. |
| Oct 13 19:42:26 | 9m 05s | S͟t͟a͟r͟t͟ With Nothing | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea, sadly with the current state of the controls its barely playable, I struggled past the first level then gave up. @coldsanwdich189 If you check the rules under "Additional Notes for both the Jam and Compo" it says that bugfixes after the deadline are allowed, though you should highlight any changes you make in a changelog and should not introduce any new features. I think in your case fixing the controls should be totally fine. It would definitely allow more people to play and experience your game. |
| Oct 13 19:45:59 | 3m 33s | Inky escape | ♥ 1 | Pretty simple and compelling concept, having to evade while pressing the keys is a nice addition. |
