| Dec 22 20:57:08 | Slow Food Burger | ♥ 1 | Horribly slow traffic lights in this game! | |
| Dec 22 21:59:10 | 1h 02m | Santa on Skis | ♥ 1 | Very christmassy! The pixel art is charming and the music is nice. Good, simple idea, well executed! 🎁 |
| Dec 24 01:36:44 | 27h 37m | Hostile Takeover | ♥ 1 | After that harrowing 15 minute experience, I'll write this and then try to actually reach the exit. I managed to even clock out before running into an eldritch eye-thing in my excitement at finding the exit again. I gotta say, the atmosphere sure is spooky, and the labyrinth sure makes me really hate the person who decided that's a good way to make offices. I think I saw a note about that, but forgot. I realized that the notes could be really useful as navigational tools a bit late, and then decided to just arrogantly not use them, so this game really gave me a good amount of appreciation for the human mind, as towards the end I was almost able to navigate the maze. The low-bit graphics and small amount of light sure makes it *really* hard to know where you're going, so great job in making the environment feel really strange and hard to get a grasp of, enhancing the spookiness of the whole thing. I don't play many horror games, so this might just be a horror game thing, but I'm kinda amazed at how the game felt so hostile and disturbing (in a good(?) way?) (???), yet still didn't make me want to quit out and call it a day. Edit: That took a lot less time (7 minutes!) with the aid of the notes. And Sharon, I think was her name, amazingly ended up on my path to Accounting and saved me a whole backtracking trip, which was great. |
| Dec 27 18:19:47 | 88h 43m | Scapegoat | ♥ 0 | Wow! There's a lot of game to play, and all of it has very nice graphics, music and sounds, very nice! I think I skipped one puzzle (near the end, in a cave with some crystals you could get in with an elevator) since I didn't manage to bring the goat with me to the last area, but thankfully the goat respawned behind me near the altar. Otherwise I had no problems. Really good entry! |
| Dec 27 18:50:18 | 30m 31s | bamb | ♥ 0 | It really does feel like a whole game, instead of a prototype like many LD games. Very polished, and the graphics, music and sfx just fit really well together. The card game itself is pretty interesting, can't say I got very good, my best being a tie against the AI 😄 |
| Dec 27 19:15:11 | 24m 53s | Dog Dog Dungeon | ♥ 0 | Really excellent visuals and sounds (loved the borks in the soundtrack), tight controls, and overall a really pleasant experience. My one complaint would be that the levels started out hard, and kept getting even harder, so I couldn't finish. |
| Dec 30 05:17:05 | 58h 01m | DEMON HELL | ♥ 1 | Great music and vfx, and the shooting is pretty nice. Can't say I enjoyed the exploding enemies, I just couldn't get away from them. Props for making a leaderboard! |
| Dec 30 05:22:43 | 5m 38s | WAYT | ♥ 1 | It's pretty nice as an overall package, the difficulty is just very hard. Even considering it's supposed to be a challenging game, I'd recommend making the difficulty curve more a curve, rather than a cliff, I couldn't get past the first level because of the second jump 😅 Plus points for using Godot! |
| Dec 30 05:31:22 | 8m 39s | Never Coming Back | ♥ 1 | I love the visual aesthetic and the music, they're very on point 👌 The dual-wielding with individual gun control is very neat, and the sacrifice mechanic is pretty cool. Could've done with some sfx. Overall, very nice! |
| Dec 30 05:55:16 | 23m 54s | Escape The Sacrifice | ♥ 1 | SPOILER BIT Couldn't figure the last bit out, ~~I think there's a battery in the vending machine, but no clue how to get it out~~. That said, pretty nice puzzles you've got here, and the few sfx there are are pretty good. Some ambient sounds / music would've been nice, as well as additional sfx (like footsteps), but overall, nice stuff. Extra kudos for going the first-person-item-picker-upper route, I did as well 😜 |
| Dec 30 06:13:40 | 18m 24s | Destructor 32 GMS | ♥ 1 | Really excellent work. I'm bad at hearing morse code I suppose, but I did find the whole experience really neat. The interface with the effects, the animated rotating signal receiver thing, everything just fits together really well and looks good. The sounds fit in very well also. |
| Dec 30 06:32:24 | 18m 44s | God given gifts, taken | ♥ 1 | Truly, a heroic adventure. The excellent sfx and an inspiring soundtrack really motivated me to get to the end. The art is nice as well, and the combat is enjoyanle and simple. The jumping could be a bit tighter. Very good stuff nonetheless. |
| Dec 30 06:41:57 | 9m 33s | The Affliction | ♥ 2 | Really nice art! I like the potion mixing system as well, quite a lot of different potions you can make. I ran into an issue where I couldn't really get into a room because an enemy would instantly throw me back, but I did enjoy the room-based system and how the camera animated between the rooms. Nice game! |
| Dec 30 20:20:26 | 13h 38m | Zealot | ♥ 1 | The Windows link seems to contain an OSX build 🤔 So I played the WebGL build. I'm not sure if the player is supposed to jump higher than ~the players height, but I didn't see any way to get past the second jump. That said, the art and the sfx are pretty good, and combined with the really tight controls, made this seem very promising! |
| Dec 30 20:42:42 | 22m 16s | Letters from Rahima | ♥ 0 | I really enjoyed the vector-field surfing 😄 Great work on the environment as well, that's a lot of world to explore, as well as people to talk to, very cool! |
| Dec 30 20:58:15 | 15m 33s | Tetrifice | ♥ 1 | I'm not very good at Tetris, but this certainly was an interesting spin on the game! Some sfx and music would've gone a long way, as well as Linux and macOS builds (though admittedly the web version is pretty good). Very neat! |
| Dec 30 21:43:27 | 45m 12s | Just delete them | ♥ 0 | The file system interaction is pretty cool, I'd definitely like to see an expansion of the idea. This time I couldn't see connections that did much else than remove things from the world, but I'm sure the concept could be taken further. Could also be that I missed something 😄 |
| Dec 30 21:59:16 | 15m 49s | Occult Defence Agency Budgeting Simulator | ♥ 0 | Excellent writing. Loved reading every bit. Everyone got cuts, except for the scrying department. The crystal balls will save us from the apocalypse, and I'll sell each and every book and property we own before them! |
