Apr 19 01:23:00 ANTIGRAVITY Nice use of fractals for the background visuals! :) The characters, for me, looks like they've popped out of Radiohead's "Pyramid Song" video. Nice one! :)

The story is...weird, but in a good way. :) The way you wrote the dialogue, together with the visual style, gives the game that surreal feeling that's pretty nice.

Great one! :)
Apr 19 09:48:00 8h 25m Spinstar I didn't have problems with the previous web version (I played a little, though, before going for the Windows version).

Anyway, about the game: this is quite challenging and fun! I love games with this CW/CCW spinning type of control (or whatever this style is called). The shapeshifting ship, together with the color matching/bullet hell mechanics, add even more challenge to the game! Also, the controls are pretty responsive and quick!

The graphics, the overall style of the game, gave me that delicious retro arcade feeling with, somehow, a "smooth" touch. :P Can't explain it that well, but it's a good feeling, I'm sure! :)

And the sfx and soundtrack also contribute a lot to the mood and charm. The minimalistic 8-bit style and the construction of the songs are pretty well balanced within the game, in my opinion. One song for each difficulty is something that I really like too, as they give each level a nice identity, in the same way it was done in games like Hexagon. :)

Great entry! Really great! :D
Apr 19 10:17:00 29m 00s QUACKTRIS Great concept!

The graphics are cute, both the sprites and the title card for the game are really well done and set the mood right away with just a single look.

Nice take on the Tetris theme for the soundtrack, it completes the mood in a pretty nice way, the sound fx are also nicely handled and balanced within the game.

Controls are pretty much solid and responsive, and gameplay is pretty smooth, though sometimes I had (very few) issues placing/lifting blocks.

One point I think that would improve the game and, also, make it a bit more accessible is a colorblind mode or colorblind-friendly sprites. I'm not fully colorblind, but I have some issues with color and sometimes light green and yellow tones, for example, become a bit hard to distinguish.

Overall, brilliant idea! :) Cheers!
Apr 23 17:44:00 103h 27m Work! WHOA, amazing work you've done in this game! :O

The pixelated graphics are beautiful and I loved how you used the shapeshift theme in the game, by changing the workers' sprite (and, also, by making the company "grow"). Fantastic, it's subtle, but essential to understand the game: the outer shell changes, the seasons pass, but he'll always be a sheep until he changes on the inside.

The audio is spectacular, the choice of sfx was really good, but the soundtrack is amazing! How it adapts to the game is just incredible, the changes are subtle and really smooth.

The game is kinda short, overall, but very pleasing. Some might say that typing only "WORK" and "NO" might make the game not have much gameplay, but this is just perfect. It's like you've camouflaged the game with one of those "clicker/idle" game ideas (because of the "evolution" aspect) to tell a narrative.

I can totally relate to the concept behind the game, since I often have to work like this, and even if I say it, I don't have much choices since I'm in a pinch right now. :/

Great work! Cheers! :)
Apr 23 18:13:00 29m 00s Difference I didn't get how to play it first, the whole eating/killing cells, but once I got the basics, the game's really fun and challenging. :)

I feel that yellow/green should have a bit more of a difference between them, specially for people with some kind of colorblindness (I have some problems with these two colors, for example, and I often didn't distinguish between both).

But it's pretty fun, and the controls work nicely and fast as they should. :)

P.s.: after playing the game for 1:45min, the game suddenly crashed, I don't know if it's a Win10 thing, will try it again later so I can clearly say it. :) I could play the game and have fun, even with this happening. ;)

Cheers! :)
Apr 23 18:30:00 17m 00s Feel the Rampage The concept of the game's pretty fun, as I love top-down/isometric hack'n slash games, specially if they have combos and an overpowered state! :D

The graphics are nice, even though assets, and they were nicely chosen for the concept. An animation for the transformation would be really nice though. :) Camera, sometimes, doesn't help much and sometimes the animation/characters get stuck, I had this specially with the Troll form.

Nice choice for audio and soundtrack, both pretty well done and integrated into the game, I feel that some "punch" could be added to the "Time for a Rampage!" sound, but don't know how. :P

Controls were kinda different for my XB controler here, as the setup was X (light attack), A (jump) and B (strong attack. Sometimes, I could only properly "kill" by using the strong attack also.

For the waves, I feel that some of the progression feeling is missing, like an evolution each wave.

Nevertheless, the game's pretty fun and I hope you keep working on it! :)
Apr 23 18:42:00 12m 00s Zuran The game concept is pretty fun and innovative.

I like the simplicity of the graphics and the wireframe-styled guards give the game an abstract-futuristic feel, that's really great to see! :)

Sound-wise, I liked the soundtrack, it's well-made and recorded, but I feel that a bit of a darker tone would give a better mood (or this could be just me thinking a bit more than I should :P), sound effects would add to the mood, though. :P

The controls are simple and easy to catch and the level design is nice, and proves to be a challenge, thanks to the shapeshifting mechanic, which I think makes some great use of the theme! :D

Cheers and Congrats! :)
Apr 23 18:51:00 9m 00s Ship Shape Great bullet-hell/twin-stick shooter game! :D

The graphics made me think a little bit of an upgraded version of Geometry Wars, which is pretty cool! Loved the effects, the low-poly models and the death explosion wave effect on all bullets! :)

Soundtrack and sound effects are great too and really pumped up the gameplay! :D

The controls, on my XB controller, worked great and were responsive enough! :) On the keyboard I just can't play the game, because of the movement, firing and shapeshifting. It could be a good thing to have the shapes shifting with the trigger on the X controller in a cycling scheme, though, since it's be easier to change it.

Great idea, the concept is pretty fun and loved the execution!

Cheers! :D
Apr 23 19:12:00 21m 00s Tide of Sins The concept behind the game is pretty interesting and has potential: an arena shooter where you can shapeshift into any of the 7 sins.

At first, I didn't get how to play it properly, even with the controls, and I still didn't get to change into another sin, as I keep dying in-game.

The graphics are nice, I kinda liked the style in them, but I couldn't hear any sound in here. :/

I feel that the game's kinda unbalanced in difficulty, because it's too easy to die in the very first wave, as the fire ratio of the first mob is higher than my fire rate and my speed. That could make the players feel kinda frustrated about playing it. :/

But you've got a great concep in here! Maybe making it into a twin-stick shooter would be a good thing too, since shooting with the keyboard makes it a bit harder to shoot on some enemies. :)

Good work, Cheers! :D
Apr 23 19:19:00 7m 00s Plasticine I loved the game concept and setting! :) Although not an entirely new concept, the way you handled it is pretty nice and challenging!

The simple, colorful graphics and the soundtrack you've chosen combine pretty well and gives the game that toy-world setting! I really liked it!

The controls are pretty responsive too, though I also feel that keeping the shapes the same and adding more as you progress, while leaving more time for the player to see the next shape would be a good addition!

Nevertheless, the game's pretty fun and friendly! :D

Great work, Cheers!

P.s.: the fonts in the web version look small :/
Apr 23 19:27:00 8m 00s Fylgjur Nice work!

The sprite graphics remembered me of some old Game Gear games I've played, and I liked'em! :P Sound fx selection and soundtrack is good too, well done! :)

My main issue playing the game, besides controls, were the attack animations resetting if I clicked too fast, something a bit faster could put some more action into the game. :)

But I liked the challenge, really! I couldn't do this in 48h, so that's always a plus! Nice work on the Compo! :)

Good work, Cheers! :D
May 4 01:31:00 246h 04m BigBadRobot The game's quite fun, and it looks nice! Needs some polish, but it's a great take on the shapeshifting theme.

The soundtrack choice was a good one too, and it gives that arcade feeling. Some of the sfx could've been balanced a bit more, though, but the choices were pretty much great. :)

I feel that a control scheme with closer buttons would be a better one, but the current control helps give that urgent feeling. :P

Nice one! Cheers!
May 4 02:56:00 1h 25m windowframe I was watching the development on twitter and was like "WHAT THE...!". Technically amazing for me, and quite challenging too.

The graphics are simple, but convey the message and set the mood quite well. Nice work on the audio, with FL Studio, too! :)

I had to bang my head a few times on the puzzles, but they were all great.

Congratz and cheers! :)
May 4 03:02:00 6m 00s Shape/Shift Nice puzzle, with a very clever design and a really great "DOS" retro feeling (at least for me, in style). I loved the shape shift mechanic, the portal and how you built the puzzles.

It starts very simple, but the challenge can escalate quite nicely! :)

I'd like to see it on mobile, with a campaign mode! It would be REALLY fun if you polish, make more levels and release it! :)

Great game! Cheers!
May 4 03:12:00 10m 00s Swim Away! It took me a while to get used to the game mechanic, but it's really nice and challenging once you get used to it! :)

I liked the graphic style and how you handled the theme by using a pufferfish and a mechanic based on how inflated he is and the depth of the sea. :D

Great job, congratz! And make it a full mobile release! XD (I'd get it! :P)
May 4 03:16:00 4m 00s Make your Queen happy This game is cute, but it's quite challenging! :O It feels like a whack-a-mole type of game, but totally suited for mobile (because we need more than just a mouse cursor to properly play the game :P).

I love this type of game, it's casual but quite addictive! :) Some sfx would make the game a nice release for mobile stores, and I hope you polish and release it! ;)

Cheers!
May 4 03:23:00 7m 00s One Letter Werewolf ASCII + Television simulator = ♥! :D

The game's pretty simple, but challenging and really fun! Proof limited time and resources aren't enough to hold fun games! :)

I was quite scare of the sounds, since I left my volume on max, but that's ok, it brings up the mood. :P

Congrats and cheers! :)
May 4 03:31:00 8m 00s Space Balls You should package it as a standalone, installers can get pretty much annoying and not everybody is willing to install games, ok? ;)

The game's a quite challenging take on Breakout/Arkanoid, but needs polish, specially because of the lasers and red blocks, since you can't handle the direction of the ball besides the bounce on the paddle.

The audio also starts layering after you die and start a new game, it can get quite annoying if people keep dying and restarting, so I advise you to do that.

If you polish the idea enough, it has the possibility to become a quite interesting game! :)

Cheers!
May 4 03:39:00 8m 00s ShapeLess Don't put the game on a hidden folder, please, as shortcuts might not always work. ;)

The concept of eating others to survive is nice, but I feel that the game is lacking a bit of that "feeling of progression", some audio and better explanation on mechanics/controls.

It took me a while to understand that it wasn't only by moving the mouse into the center that the game would start, so it's always a good thing to put an extra cue for the player, ok? :)

Cheers on making the game, keep working on it! ;)
May 4 03:49:00 10m 00s Simplisity It's a shame you couldn't work more on the game, but I'm sure you'll do it next time! Keep working, and practicing too! :D

I'm sorry for your grandfather, mine passed away 2 years ago and it was kinda hard on me too. I had to do a lot of rushed things at the time, so I totally understand what happens. :/

I got to make 143.43 on the first level, after dying a lot and didn't finish the second, as I rage quit after dying a lot. :P

I like these types of challenging games, minimalistic is the way to go when doing these! ;)

Cheer up and keep gaming! You made something and that's a great thing already!

Congrats!
May 4 03:55:00 6m 00s Kingdom The game becomes quite challenging! It's a nice take on the wave defense game, though I didn't get the theme on it quite well. :P

Nice take on the graphics! Low-poly + cel-shading is always nice to see! And the soundtrack is really nice too! :P

It would be better if we had some indicator on arrows/firing rate or something, because I found it pretty strange after the arrows became quite slow to shoot.

Nice one, though! Cheers! :)
May 4 04:06:00 11m 00s Laboral Alienation The game ran a bit too fast in here and I couldn't get the whole concept at all, though I've finished the game. :P The base concept, though, the backstory, is pretty nice and the idea has a LOT of potential! :)

Nice work on the graphics and soundtrack! :)
May 4 04:12:00 6m 00s Ooze The concept is really nice! Needs more polish, but has a lot of potential! :P It gave me that "Katamari" feeling, but instead of picking things, we grow trees! :)

The controls are nice, but sometimes they felt a bit slow. Also, while dashing, I couldn't "roll" inside the city properly and got kinda stuck. :/

Great entry, though, nice work! :)
May 4 04:18:00 6m 00s Reload I didn't grasp the theme quite well in here, but the concept is quite fun.

The graphics are pretty well made, and I liked the sprites a lot. Sound is pretty much 8-bit and it fits the theme, though I think it could've had a bit more of attention.

The gameplay, though, suffers a bit. I felt that the controls and the pace of the game are a bit slow and, on these types of games, at least some hp counter could be useful.

Overall, it's a nice entry, though! :)

Congrats!
May 4 04:22:00 4m 00s Slurp Team I tried playing with my bro in here, but the round always ended with the shapeshifters' win! :/

The concept is pretty nice, though! :)
May 4 04:27:00 5m 00s Scooter Magrew: Escape From Somewhere In Space! It's a nice concept and it totally fits the target audience, but you have to add a bit more polish into it, specially controls and some of the base movement mechanic! ;)

I loved the graphics, the overall style of the game and the way you handled the shape shifting. :) As some said, the rainbow text might become difficult to read sometimes, so that's one thing I'd ask you to change, if possible. :P

Great work on the audio! It's brilliant, in my opinion, and it fits the style! :D
May 4 04:35:00 8m 00s Morphlings Minimalistic, but with lots of potential. Too short, though :P

The general concept is pretty simple, but there's a lot of space for more juiciness and other improvements on the game. Breeding/multiplying and making barriers seem nice, but more environments and conditions could make it more challenging! :)

Nice entry! Cheers!
May 4 04:51:00 16m 00s Flychest Nice entry, even though I don't know where does it follow the theme, but I'm kinda addicted to it already. ;) Clicking games are pretty much part of my everyday fun lately, so this one's quite fun!

Nice choice of audio, great work on the graphics and the online leaderboard is pretty nice too! :)

Congrats! :)
May 4 04:56:00 5m 00s Shapesshift The idea is quite nice, but the embedded player didn't work (controls).

Games where you need precision to properly play are always welcome for me. :P
May 4 18:11:00 13h 15m A Simple Tale After some time it gets pretty challenging! Nice one! :) I wonder what would've happened if you took a bit more time and went for the jam. :P

I think you've nailed the 8-bit style for the game in graphics, sound and, also, control feeling. It's a shame you couldn't put more into the game, but it's already a nice arcade-style game! ;)

Also, including a common tale, with a shapeshifting theme behind, was a great idea! :D

Great work! :)
May 4 18:27:00 16m 00s Aether Crypt You've nailed it! :D That's a great take on the theme and really clever too!

The graphics are simple, but really charming and the way you've set up everything creates a great moon in-game. The soundtrack also helps set up the mood in a great way too! :D

Controls work perfectly, and the shapeshifting mechanic is pretty well made!

Brilliant! :D
May 4 18:32:00 5m 00s Anarchist Age Shifter Interesting idea, it has potential, but you gotta polish this idea! There's a lot of possibilities and you can make it really fun to play! :)

The thing about shooting cops + camouflaging to avoid trouble is always nice and can become quite challenging to develop and build.

The game is pretty fun, though. ;)

Cheers! Good work!
May 4 18:43:00 11m 00s Slimeshift It totally reminded me of those virtual pets, like Tamagochi, but also something like Chao Garden too, with the shapeshifting mechanic/evolution and all.

The graphics are simple, but cute and pretty charming and you've done some nice writing there! :P

It's a shame you didn't have much time to do the polish and add more content, you've done it pretty nicely so far, so great job! :)

Nice work, Keep going! :)
May 4 18:49:00 6m 00s buki buki! Great teamwork there! :) The concept is pretty great, the shapeshifting is cool and pretty charming too!

The graphics are cute and pretty well done (love the "dying skeletons") and the way the map is made pretty much sets the whole mood of the game nicely, with the music adding up some pretty neat juice into it! :)

The controls on keyboard, though, I didn't like much. Gamepad is great!

Good work! :)
May 4 18:55:00 6m 00s Gridshape Get Twin-stick shooters are always fun for me, and I love playing these games! You game is FUN, man! The shapeshifting mechanic and vector graphic style feels great! :)

The controls are great (mouse didn't shoot, though :/), playing it on a gamepad feels best! :D Nice work on the audio and voices too!
May 5 19:30:00 24h 35m Sudden Shift The concept is really nice and it gets pretty challenging too, besides giving that feeling of "rush"/"I need to go fast or else...". :)

The way you build the game, the sounds you've chosen, were really great and created a nice mood! :)

Nice work! :D
May 5 19:57:00 27m 00s <T.F.O.S> Nice work! :P I still didn't fully get the whole idea, got stuck in the second level but I took the game not only as a game, but also as a great experience in visual and audio! :)

The abstract graphics gave me that feeling of a very small "creature" in its evolutionary stages of life, and the work on the audio really pairs pretty nicely with it! Both totally set up a great mood for the game, and it's really a great one.

Apart from the challenges, the game feels really relaxing while playing an gives me a nice vibe! :)

Great work!

Cheers! :)
May 5 20:01:00 4m 00s VoxShiftRun Finishing and posting your first jam game is always a great step! Hope you keep working on it! :)

The concept is really nice, still has some polish to do, counters and etc., but you've got an idea and made it here! It fits well with the shapeshifting theme, so you nailed it! :)

The cubed look is always something I like in games, if you can polish things more and work more on this game, I'd like to see how would you expand on it. :)

Good work! Cheers! :D
May 5 20:12:00 11m 00s Elemental Shifters Battle + Reflex-based gameplay = ♥! :D It's really great what you did here, though I felt that the walls come quite fast too quickly, a slower progression and some kind of indicator/cue for the walls would be a nice addition, but the game already is really good! :)

I loved the graphics and general presentation for the game, the "corridor" gave me a nice contrast with the battle, loved the wall-breaking animation too! :P

Sometimes, though, even if it was the right shape, I'd bump into a wall. But it didn't take anything away from the experience of playing the game.

Great job! :)
May 5 20:43:00 31m 00s Inner Maze The whole mood/feeling + shapeshifting and mazeshifting is great, the mechanics are pretty innovative and the overall mood of the game is great! Sometimes it gets confusing but, hey, this is a maze, so it's normal! ;)

Nice work on the graphics and level design, you made it pretty challenging and nice, together with the mood system. I felt that the progression on difficulty was a bit too quick, but maybe it's just me. :P

The audio is perfect, and it totally sets the mood of the game, it pairs up pretty well with the graphics and give that "oh, I'm in this kinda strange eerie place" feeling. :P

I played the web version, because the desktop link isn't working (there's nothing on the link).

Great work! :)
May 5 21:00:00 17m 00s Moonwalking Cowboys The art style is great, silhouettes are really good for a quick and stylish game, but try to add more "juice" into the animations! :)

The concept of a tower defense, with shifting snipers/blockades is nice, but needs some polish. The pace of the game, at times, felt a bit slow and didn't feel like it had some "progression". :P

Great idea! Though, as one said, I still don't get the whole "moonwalking-and-shooting-things-like-they-came-out-of-my-ass" thing :P
May 5 21:11:00 11m 00s Office Wizzard The concept is great and interesting, but it feels like the pace is a bit slow. The level design is nice and challenging, but levels feel too large for just a single objective.

The graphic style is really good and dogs as theme for guards and wizard is nice! :)

Missing some audio. :/
May 5 21:25:00 14m 00s Shift Shapes Making your first idea and publishing is always a great start, rushed or not, small and simple, be it! :) You've made something and released it! ;D I'm sure next time you'll have more time.

The concept is nice, having to change into your enemy to make'em stop is good, but you need more challenge, and a feeling of progression in your game. :)

Also, try to make the UI static to the screen/camera, as you can not always see the score/life.

Anyway, good work! And see ya next LD! :)
May 5 21:29:00 4m 00s Shifter As said, with more polish and time you can make it a nice game, mixing an infinite runner and some reflex based gameplay too. :)

Even if it's 4 hours, you've done something and that's always good! Keep working, making games and see ya on the next LD! :)
May 5 21:43:00 14m 00s OMFG SHAPES Dude, this is FUN! Loved it!

The concept isn't 100% "new", but you gave it a nice twist (pun intended, I think?)! The controls are great and responsive, and playing it really feels good, while being quite challenging! :)

The coloured graphics set up a great mood, together with the soundtrack and sfx/comments, that's bloody fun! XD

Brilliant! :)
May 5 22:31:00 48m 00s ShapeMagnet Great take on the theme! The Geometry Wars inspired look feels great (gotta love the vector graphics ;D) and it's really challenging! :)

The controls are pretty responsive and there's a nice feeling of progression, though I'd recommend you tone it down just a tiny-bit and spread the difficulty across more levels. :)

Great work, inspiring too! :)
May 6 02:56:00 4h 25m Hide And Seek Nice concept, but I feel it needs a bit of polish on the controls, as they slide a little bit (that kinda makes it difficult to do a quickplay).

The graphics are pretty nice, but the song is kinda...happy...which gives a little bit of contrast. :P Something moodier would've fit a bit more into the game.

But overall, it's quite challenging! Well done! :D
May 6 03:06:00 10m 00s Pretend Nice concept for a game, great message! :)

The silhouette graphics are really nice and, together with the music, creates a nice mood for the game, controls work quite nicely too!

The level, although short, is quite challenging too and requires some dexterity to finish in one go. :P

Congrats! :D
May 6 03:17:00 11m 00s Liquify Great work! :O This game totally made me feel like playing an old DOS adventure game (the good ones ;D), which I loved!

Nice work on the art, which looks great! Audio is amazing and helps a LOT in setting up the mood for the game!

Controls feel a bit strange sometimes, but it was fun to play, great work on the level design too! :)

Congrats!
May 6 03:20:00 3m 00s ShapeSlayer The concept is really nice, and it has that nice "twin-stick shooter" feeling too, though on my machine (running Win10 x64) the mouse did not aim as expected. :/

The level is pretty intense and full of action, though, which is quite nice! :)

Congrats!
May 6 03:25:00 5m 00s Trickytron This is really fun, even though it's just a tech demo as you wrote. :)

Controls feel pretty solid and responsive, gameplay is fluid for me. DO keep working on it! :P
May 6 03:29:00 4m 00s Geometry Shifter Love the neon-styled graphics and the overall concept, but it starts to feel repetitive after a while, though it DOES get challenging.

Controls are pretty responsive and fast! :) Good choice for a soundtrack too, really sticks in your ear after some time, it made me feel like playing an old demo. :P

Cheers! :)
May 6 03:36:00 7m 00s Shape Whoa, this feels pretty good to play! :O

The graphics are really simple, and that's one thing I'd ask you to "juice up" a bit, but it works perfectly for the game! :)

Nice work on the soundtrack, it's really catchy and well made! Also, controls in the game are really great and the level design is great too, really challenging! That "Enjoy the Ride" level was a REAL challenge haha!

Congrats! :)
May 6 04:04:00 28m 00s CDO This was pretty fun! XD I'm a pretty OCD person, so I spent quite a long time aligning, rotating and scaling the shapes! :P

This totally feels like a mobile game!

Great work on it!
May 6 04:10:00 6m 00s Animal Position This is funny! XD And totally made me feel hurt for the sad man shapeshifting and posing hahaha! Great take on the theme with some nice humor! :)

The graphics are simple, but totally work for the style, and I can totally see this as a mobile game! :P

Congrats!
May 6 04:17:00 7m 00s Geometer's Folly Loved the graphics style and the overall mood of the game!

Being able to spellcast by drawing points is really fun and interesting. Controls work nicely, but sometimes mouse position feels weird, probably GM stuff.

Backstory is really great and you have some nice potential in here! Keep working! ;)

Congrats! :)
May 6 04:27:00 10m 00s Good boy, Bad boy It's a bit confusing at first and you can troll the other player quite a LOT when planting the bomb! :P

The concept is nice, and it really shows the CS influence, but still needs some polish. As some people wrote, having that black way out closed would be best, as that opens a whole possibility of trolling the other player. :P

Good work! :)
May 6 04:42:00 15m 00s KIT and the 3 realms to Heaven Really beautiful, great concept for a game, quite challenging too, though sometimes a bit too much challenge! :P

The graphics are simple, but well made and fit perfectly with the concept of the game. Audio really helps set the mood, but it starts to get somehow annoying whe you play too much on the same level, adding some variation would help, but keep the ambient style! ;D

Gamepad is a must to play this game, and feels more comfortable. Controls work nicely and the transition is really a nice concept, though sometimes jumping from water into ice is a but frustrating. :P

Overall, good work there! :)
May 6 04:47:00 5m 00s Shaolin Vs Ninja A fighting game is quite a different thing here on LD, so this is a plus. But the game feels like in need of some polish here and there.

The graphics look fun and there's the subtle shapeshift, but playing it on a keyboard is a bit hard. Specially for player one, because of the default keyboard settings on latin and english countries (we use QWERTY, instead of AZERTY).

Keep working and polishing and you might have a nice project there! ;)
May 6 04:57:00 10m 00s ShapeShiftSurvival The game is fun and there's the potential, but you need some polish there, specially on difficulty balance.

Also, besides charging by killing, it would be good to have another way to charge, because if you inadvertently press the spacebar while the charge bar isn't full it's game over. :P

It's a nice challenge, though, and the graphics are nice too. :)

Good work.
May 6 05:05:00 8m 00s Skinwalker Short, but has some nice story to start! Needs more "juice" on it, though. :P There's a lot of possibilities for character expansion, plot devices and nice things to do! :)

I found a bug, though, when you exit the first room and go on the corridor's side, the event where you kill the 2 girls won't happen and you end up with two Chloes. :P

Good work, though ;)
May 6 05:22:00 17m 00s Tetroidvania Great entry! XD This is totally unexpected for me, really nice work! :P

Rotating, sometimes, felt a bit strange, but it was really a lot of fun to play from beginning to end! :)

Really clever, well designed and great mashup of genres! :D
May 6 05:37:00 15m 00s Totem_Alpha As long as you had fun and learned a lot, it's always a good thing! Good to see you've done something and sent to LD! :) Next time you'll go even further than this, I'm sure!

From what I played, it mostly feels like a tech demo/concept test, needs some polish to make it feel more like a game. Having the main character transform into different animals feels really nice, but it's a bit buggy.

Did you put "bounce" as side-effect when you hit a wall? Try other types of movement, because people might feel a bit annoyed at it. ;)

Keep working and practicing! :D
May 6 05:42:00 5m 00s Vee Nice work! It feels a bit like Sokoban. :P

The concept is nice, but I didn't quite like the controls, as it slows down the pace of the game a bit too much. Having to press the arrows every single step isn't good, changing this part of the game would make it flow a bit more. ;)

Also, missing some audio, but it's a nice puzzle game! Keep going! :D
May 6 05:47:00 5m 00s HappyNest Great work! The graphics are really well made and the animations are great! The transformations were nicely built!

The audio is superb! Loved the soundtrack and the choice for sound effects!

Gameplay-wise, it felt a bit like "Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents" and it's quite fun and frantic to play! XD

Great work, really! :)
May 6 05:50:00 3m 00s Hellet Bull Turrets that shift shapes on a bullet hell game? Nice! :)

It's quite challenging, though, so I'd ask you to make it easier on the first-time player by increasing the difficulty bit by bit. ;)

Visually, the game's simple but the graphics work quite well and are pretty clean! Nice work! :)

Keep going! ;D
May 6 06:01:00 11m 00s Blobby Man, this is fun! XD I spent quite some time playing it and not noticing I had work to do! :P

Great work on the physics! Controls also work nicely! With some polish it could become even more fun! XD

Some shapes, like the map of Japan or the L shape, are hard and challenging. :P

Great work!
May 6 06:13:00 12m 00s The Shinobi Trial Nice take on the infinite runner genre!

The overall style of the game is really nice, in both audio and graphics (though you're not being judged in both). I really liked the ninja's animation! :)

There's challenge but I feel that you should give the player that feeling of "progression" in-game, as the game starts to get a bit repetitive after some time.

I don't know how good is everything I'm telling ya, but I hope you DO keep working on the game! As it does have potential.

The game really felt like "Rock, Paper, Scissors" meets "Canabalt" :P

P.s.: Bom trampo! Ficou bem bacana, continue! ;)
May 6 06:21:00 8m 00s Shift It I enjoyed it quite a bit, and the controls work quite nicely, but having to shift between shapes using the keyboard made me feel a bit messed up. :P

The game's quite fun, albeit simple, and the sfx are really well-balanced within the game too.

I love minimalistic games, so keep working and adding more juice into this project! :) I see potential in here! ;D

Cheers! Good Work! :)
May 6 06:28:00 7m 00s Happy Shape Shifter Whoa, this is simple but REALLY FUN! :O That's great for a 2h project too! :)

Controls work nicely and it gets challenging and quite chaotic after some time! :P Good work!
May 6 06:34:00 6m 00s Goo Patrol The concept of picking up parts and shapeshifting is quite nice and has potential! ;)

Really fun and it gets quite challenging when lots of enemies appear on screen! The ship's controls are really nice too (though it took a while to get used to them :P).

Nice work on the graphics and good choice on the sfx too! It really sets up some nice mood for the game! :)

Good work! :D
May 6 06:46:00 12m 00s ShapeRoot Interesting game, still needs some polish, but it has potential! :P The concept and game feels quite large, though, and lots of things need to be done in sandbox games. :/

But you made a working prototype, and I hope you keep working on a full version of this game! ;)

Cheers!
May 9 03:46:00 69h 00m Brutally Shifty Dance Crew Love the art, the rotoscoped animations and the "crew" watching and yelling, I know how hard rotoscoping and testing the animations are, and it's always good to see it being done! :)

The audio lacks something, I don't know, the music feels like in a club, with a crew and all, but I think it lacks some "punch". The voices are kinda creepy, like the audience is talking with a deadpan face, so more variations and feeling would give a real great vibe! :)

The controls are simple, but enjoyable, maybe adding more combinations, people yelling shapes in sequence, could give a bit more challenge! :P

But really great! Nice work! I want to do a dance/music-based game too now! :P
May 9 03:56:00 10m 00s Amoebam I could only play the WebGL version, since the Java version just opens and closes on my machine (Win10).

The audio on the WebGL version only plays on the right side for me, don't know if it's a bug or not. The soundtrack is nice, it gives some action feeling, but I think it's a tiny bit agressive.

The graphics are nice and work well, and I liked how you made mobs "locking" the hostages inside'em. :)

In gameplay, though, is my issue. Fps starts to drop on the third level and it becomes kinda unplayable. The run'n jump mechanics need some polish too, specially on jumping left/right.

But nice going! The level design is pretty challenging! With some polish here and there this might become a nice action-platformer. ;)

Congrats :)
May 9 04:21:00 25m 00s Golden Rush Great! I had to take some time to check and understand how everything worked, but it was great! Surviving on an ever changing labyrinth seems good! :P

Nice work on the graphics, the character animation is really good and the sprites/tileset, the screens, are all nicely made!

The soundtrack is pretty cool too! :) Nice work on the music, I liked it a lot! :)

A high-score at the end, and also a bit more of feeling of progression can add some nice touches into the game! :)

Good work! ;)
May 9 06:39:00 2h 18m Figure Shift Nice work on the game! :D The "zoom" out after you advance is really nice and gives you that feeling of "oh, gotta go fast there!". :P

A bit of polish on the graphics and some audio could make the game even better. And some additional clues, about the splat and shapes would make the tutorial better too, and faster to "get". :3

Congrats!
May 9 06:50:00 11m 00s JellyBean Windows link is dead, so my review is based upon the Web version. :)

The graphics are nice, and the model animation is nice too, but needs some polish. Soundtrack is good, but I don't feel like it "fits" the style of the game, the same thing goes with the voice effects.

The controls work, but not 100% as written on the description, didn't get the "sprint" thing to work too. Some attacks didn't connect and I often die too, how does the collision work for this? :P

Congrats on making, though! :)
May 9 07:00:00 10m 00s Palkheun Shape The concept is pretty solid indeed, and the game plays really nicely! Love the neon look of the game and the soundtrack.

I though this was a rhythm-based game, though. :P

I understood from the get go about the score indicator, but the speed and lifebar were something that I didn't understood right away, so try to put clues in it! ;)

Controls are responsive, but overall gameplay starts to feel repetitive after a while, specially with the lifebar blinking out of sync. Maybe adding rhythm syncronization and adding visual elements as you progress or make "combos" or something to appeal a bit more in a future version? :P

But great entry, really! :D
May 9 07:08:00 8m 00s Henkan Pachinko The game is really nice, the level design is really clever too. It's a shame the game's short :<, more levels would make it even better! :)

Gotta say I like the graphics and the simple, direct-to-the-point, mechanics. It makes playing simple, fun and more open to everyone. ;)

Needs more levels! :P
May 9 07:38:00 30m 00s ShapeCraft Nice retro-styled shooter! The part-replacement mechanic is a really nice mechanic too, auto-replacing completely damaged is also a +1! :)

The graphics are just right, but if you happen to add more "juice" into them it's would be awesome (parts changing according to enemy colors, shapes, etc.).

I swear I though the item "get" sound was a "meow"! :P

Nice entry! :D
May 9 07:40:00 2m 00s Wallshift 2 hours? Nice! :)

It's simple, but becomes challenging! I wonder what would happen if you had more time to juice it up! :D

Congrats! :)
May 9 08:31:00 51m 00s Mech-a-Plane The concept is quite nice and fun, graphics wise it works nicely too! :)

I felt that controls should have a clearer explanation, though, to make it easier for people to get, so more people could play it better. :)

Some polish here and there, and some audio would make it an even nicer demo! :)

Cheers! :D
May 9 08:36:00 5m 00s shape_Shifter Simple, but really challenging! With some polish here and there you could turn it into a pretty nice game (or totally make it a rage game :P).

Controls are pretty effective and it's really nice to test your coordination!

Good entry! :D
May 9 08:52:00 16m 00s SHAPE.SHIFT Loved the concept, the level design is really challeging! Having events happen synchronized with the rhythm is always nice and cool! :)

The graphics are simple, but trippy and really effective! :) Controls work perfectly, but changing dimensions, sometimes means certain death, this could be changed, somehow! ;)

Great entry!
May 9 08:57:00 5m 00s Meepies The way the level progresses is really nice! And the game concept is also great and challenging! :)

The game has this really relaxing mood, and it's a pleasing experience to play it! :)

Keep going! :D Congrats!
May 9 09:04:00 7m 00s Tetragon Whoa, the concept is great and the game is pretty challenging! :O

After the level becomes a ring it becomes REALLY challengine! :) Controls are great, they feel slippery, but it adds up to the challenge in a nice way!

Great work! Cheers! :)
May 9 09:30:00 26m 00s Transformagician Great work! The stealth + puzzling shapeshifting concept is really nice. :P

Had a hard time fooling some mobs, but I had lots of fun playing it! Controls work nicely, are pretty responsive and the game has some great mood, thanks to the setting!

Cheers! :D
May 9 13:08:00 3h 38m Fill That Hole! Nice! :P Kind of a "Tetris meets Bridge Constructor" feeling, but it's so relaxing and fun too!

That first "Fill That Hole" already sets the game's mood, and the soundtrack + sfx makes sure that the mood is kept all the time, and it's great! Those voices...

The graphics also are really nice and charming! The style reminded me a bit of Katamari! :)

Great entry! :D
May 9 13:27:00 19m 00s Kitsune no Gēmu Graphics-wise the game's reallt beautiful. The level's tileset is a bit simple and blocky, but it's ok, works like a charm. The characters'sprites are really nice! :) The fox specially.

Nice work on the soundtrack too, though the style, for me, kinda feels like it conflicts a bit with the the title. :P

Controls feel a bit too fast for the Fox, and the level design feels like more could've been done, but these are minor details, and don't take the fun of the game. ;P

Great work! :)
May 9 16:07:00 2h 40m Lovely Shape Nice work with the art in here! Though, to me, it does look a bit creepy, but I kinda like it. :P

With some audio it would be nice and it would add a real nice moood! :)

I didn't get much of the idea behind, but I enjoyed playing it! Wish you had more time to work on it!

Nice work!
May 9 16:25:00 18m 00s Square Peg in a Round Hole Nice concept, great work! The sketchy graphics add a nice touch to the game and the audio has that pleasing sound of something "rolling" down, it was kinda relaxing :P

The level design is nice, but I feel it needs a bit of balance and some clues sometimes. Controls are just perfect for the style you've chosen.

Also, at one point, I fell and kept falling and had to redo everything again. :/

Great work, though! :) Congrats!
May 9 19:30:00 3h 05m Shape Rave Trippy! Gotta love colorful graphics like this, it's simple and effective, totally feels like a mobile game! :)

Great work on the soundtrack too, it has some nice punch and it's catchy too. Controls work nicely, on all versions, and the game's pretty easy to get into.

My criticism would only be for some "walls" with narrow spaces to pass through. It's kinda hard to "aim" properly for some and I'm finding it a bit hard to determine the distance between the shape and the walls. :P

Great entry tho! :)
May 9 20:59:00 1h 29m A Sum Of All Parts Great work! Loved how you worked with the shapes but, as some people said, it's kinda hard to find'em all, couldn't stop until I found everything, though. :P

The graphics are just perfect for the style and the setting, together with the audio, sets some nice mood! The narrative is really good too! :)

Challenging in its own way, but very pleasing to play! Congrats on the result! :D
May 9 21:37:00 38m 00s Stoopid Robats The concept is really nice, clever and kinda humorous! :P Can become quite challenging after some time.

Love the work you've done on the graphics and the soundtrack is really great! Also, great choice for sound effects! :)

Sometimes, though, I thought that the pace was a bit slow. Maybe it's just me, though :P. But I've enjoyed playing it, controls were really responsive and it has a nice mood!

Congrats! :D
May 9 21:54:00 17m 00s Lumiania Brilliant! :O The platforming mechanics in it are great! The concept is also really nice and brought me some nice memories of games I've played during the 90's and even some recent games, like Cave Story :P

Nice work on the tilesets, backgrounds and animations too, they're really well done! :) Level design and the shapeshifting concept on the game are really nice and cleverly done too.

Controls work perfectly and are pretty responsive. I just didn't know rocket needed some space before it can break blocks. :P

But great work, really! :)
May 9 22:02:00 8m 00s Virgin Blood The concept is really nice! It's fun, challenging and cleverly done! :)

The voxel graphics always have some charm to me, so I really liked how you dealt with them. :) Controls work nicely too, though only sometimes, I thought they were a bit slow/hard.

Missing some sounds, but the game's pretty solid. :) Keep going! ;)
May 9 22:34:00 32m 00s Shape Escape Really fun to play, level design is cleverly done and challenging! Couldn't get past level 2, though. :P

The graphics are cute and, albeit simple, really charming! :) Nice choice for sound effects too!

Great entry! Congrats on your first LD! :)
May 9 22:42:00 8m 00s Stretch-Mark! Gotta love the gameboy-esque graphic style :). The stretching/mass manip mechanic is really nice and interesting too! :P

The level design, thanks to the mechanic, is quite challenging, but I'm missing some checkpoints, so I won't have to start all over again.

Soundtrack is also another good point of the game, and controls are just right! ;)

Congrats on this entry! :D
May 9 23:00:00 18m 00s Douglas' Escape Nice work there! :) I find it nice that the game does loop. ;P

Sweet work on the graphics, tilesets, background and character sprites are really well made! :)

It took me a while to realize how the controls work, but the way progression happens in the game is pretty enjoyable.

Congrats! :D
May 10 00:33:00 1h 33m A walk to the top The idea is lovely, challenging and can also be kinda mind-bending, because of the isometric angle.

The graphics are nice, the puzzle style remembered me a little bit of Chu Chu Rocket, which is nice. :)

The soundtrack is really nice, I think the voice acting is funny, but it needs some extra punch. ;)

Nice work! :D
May 10 00:41:00 8m 00s The Delivery Hour Great entry! The graphics and animations are brilliant! The truck, the machine, the robot, great work!

The sounds provide a really nice to the game and the simple mechanics and controls are really welcoming, as controls respond really fast!

Lots of challenging possibilities in this one! :) Congrats!
May 10 00:45:00 4m 00s Polyvore Dude, this is brilliant! :O

The game has an awesome gameplay feeling, and the soundtrack + sfx provides a great mood to the game! The sound effects aren't annoying and the graphics are simple, but effective!

Great concept, great execution! Congrats! :D
May 10 00:50:00 5m 00s Nyamo's Adventure Great work, in both art and soundtrack. The sprites, backgrounds and tilesets are beautiful! The soundtrack provides a pretty relaxing, sometimes arcadey, mood, which really gets into you!

The controls are also really responsive and the game has a nice overall feeling!

Congratz! :D
May 10 00:56:00 6m 00s Oh My Blocks It's a shame you didn't have the time you wanted, but it's good that you submitted something, even if it's a concept! :)

The game idea is really nice and I kinda understood what you meant in the game! I hope you can work on this idea more and make a nice project out of this concept! :)

Congrats!
