| Aug 27 02:00:00 | Pushy Monster | Really great graphics. The Kevin MacLeod "Every Minecraft Video Ever Made" music really rips you out of the immersion though. The gameplay is pretty cool too but it hangs if you hit R while the hero is wandering around. | |
| Aug 27 02:27:00 | 27m 00s | Cruelty Free | Really pretty polished. I actually really enjoyed this game; The atmosphere was great. The music at first reminded me of Banjo Kazooie or something but the overall atmosphere reminds me of some old 3d games (See: Jimmy Neutron PC, school level https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgIgtivFjAY) |
| Aug 27 02:41:00 | 14m 00s | Chicken Girl in Toyhouse! | Cool idea but like others have said the collision is buggy. Eventually the game just hung after being stuck in a block and I had to end it with task manager. I love the genesis music! 5/5 in that regard. |
| Aug 27 20:16:00 | 17h 35m | King Mean's Mean Streak | The idea and Paper Mario graphics are really great. The music is alright too, but like xevozfighter said, it really doesn't match with the music. <br/> <br/>Combat was a bit tedious and I eventually gave up after wandering around lost on the main island for a while. |
| Aug 27 20:25:00 | 9m 00s | The Slimy Jumper | Cool game, and neat graphics. Your platforming code is a bit wonky but nothing too serious. Were you inspired by agar.io? |
| Aug 27 20:34:00 | 9m 00s | Disco Arachno | This is one of those wacky ideas that you can feel the imagination emanating from. I thought it was pretty cool, I liked the graphics and music. Unfortunately whenever I noticed a spot was going to shock me and I had already put a foot on it, I was pretty much hosed since it takes a large amount of time to cycle back through the legs. It would be neat if you could cycle both left and right. <br/> <br/>Really neat stuff nonetheless. |
| Aug 27 20:42:00 | 8m 00s | RPG Director | Ha, cool. It has that "2005 flash game" feel (and that's a good thing.) <br/> <br/>I also really enjoyed the music from various RPGs. Chrono Trigger was a fun game. |
| Aug 27 20:48:00 | 6m 00s | You'll find the monster when it's over | A neat game but unfortunately it just crashes once you grab the bazooka. |
| Aug 27 21:03:00 | 15m 00s | Mild Mannered Richard | Wow, cool game. It gave off an eerie vibe; Richard seemed more like Salad Fingers than a mild mannered monster. |
| Aug 27 21:23:00 | 20m 00s | Sanika | It's one of those cool twitchy games. I sure wish it wasn't instadeath though. Audio was great. |
| Aug 28 20:49:00 | 23h 26m | Impostor | The controls are a bit wonky but you really hit upon something with this idea. The graphics and mood are really fitting as well. <br/> <br/>Unfortunately in the webGL version, hovering over an object makes it go nuts with flickering and noises so I'm not really sure what to say. |
| Aug 28 21:16:00 | 27m 00s | I am Malware | Haha this game is really well made. I liked the storyline bits and the music just fit perfectly. Reminds me of the early Metal Gear titles for the MSX/NES. |
| Aug 29 03:53:00 | 6h 37m | Blop Avanger | I actually really enjoy this game. It reminds me of those flash games you play on Newgrounds or whatever. It got a little "grindy" though so I didn't have time to solve it, but cool game nonetheless. |
| Aug 29 03:55:00 | 2m 00s | Nimble | This art's really great and the mood is fantastic, I'm just mildly sad that such cool atmosphere was "blown" on what is essentially Guitar Hero without the rhythm. I like it anyway though. |
| Aug 29 04:08:00 | 13m 00s | Monster Mash! | Someone get Takahashi Meijin in here. |
| Aug 29 04:14:00 | 6m 00s | CRT TV | I can tell you were definitely going somewhere with this idea, though it feels like I'm playing an early alpha of an N64 game or something. The 'unfinished' vibe incidentally really adds to the mood. |
| Aug 29 04:17:00 | 3m 00s | ECS in Python | Like others have said, what an unorthodox entry. I kinda dig it. |
| Aug 29 05:09:00 | 52m 00s | We Missed You! | Another masterwork from my man RHYS. Really though, I've got you cataloged in my brain as "makes inventive games guy" and you delivered. I can only imagine this really pushes the limits of the PICO8 from the various examples I've seen of it. The idea of the postal service being a monster is pretty funny as well. NEWMAN! |
| Aug 29 05:27:00 | 18m 00s | Milky Helps People | The logic puzzle bit is actually pretty brilliant, though I got stuck pretty early on as I'm wont to do. I liked the voice actor. |
| Aug 29 19:53:00 | 14h 26m | Monsters always finish last | I really liked the music |
| Aug 29 20:03:00 | 10m 00s | Fluffles the Friendly Puppy | This game was great. I liked the graphics most of all. However, with there always being more knights on the ground than in the sky and there being no way to go back, there's no real incentive to ever jump. Nevertheless, it was a peaceful, well art-ed, fun game. Good job! |
| Aug 29 20:17:00 | 14m 00s | Don't Get Caught! | This was the best game I've played yet in this jam. Very well done. Challenging too. I ended up kinda cheating by just very rapidly stealing from one person to get the dollar. I'm gonna keep this one on my computer to play in my free time. Very well done; 5 Stars across the board! |
| Aug 29 20:27:00 | 10m 00s | They Dug Too Deep | Good. I liked the graphics and evolving mechanic (even though i didn't get to evolve very many times :)!). |
| Aug 29 21:47:00 | 1h 20m | YouAreTheMonster | [SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER] <br/> <br/> <br/>I'm not sure if i'm just getting lucky or not, but it seems that the key i need is always just the middle number in the room number. Anyway, i liked the graphics and music. It kind of reminded me of portal. Hope you get the chance to make something bigger and better next time. But hey, we've all dealt with themes we couldn't work with. |
| Aug 29 22:15:00 | 28m 00s | Minion, I have to take a leak. | The game was very difficult and you can just keep playing with your health into the negative. The graphics were nice thoeugh. |
| Aug 29 23:54:00 | 1h 39m | The Darkness Inside | It was alright. :) The tentacles scared the crap out of me |
| Aug 30 00:42:00 | 48m 00s | MISHMASH | This game has a nice art style. My friend and i also used a paper style actually. The game Is interesting and different. Not bad. |
| Aug 30 00:59:00 | 17m 00s | Angry Bull | This wasn't what i was expecting but it was great. This game struck a good nerve with me. It's so simple that it's amusing. That's what makes it great. I believe i'll keep this one around... |
| Aug 30 02:36:00 | 1h 37m | bloody tentacles | Figured I'd come over and play your game. I saw this a while back and thought it was cool from the pictures, and I was proven correct. Real neat game. <br/> <br/>I liked the graphics especially. I can't sing high praises of the little audio loop but y'know, it did its job. Cheers! |
| Aug 30 02:51:00 | 15m 00s | R-ADIUS | Wow, cool game. Graphics are great and it's one of those "shop games" that would fit really well on newgrounds or the app store. My strategy initially was to spend all my points on cooldown/price then just cream the player with my Beet army. <br/> <br/>Why are they called beets? That goofy name really makes me smile for some reason. |
| Aug 30 03:30:00 | 39m 00s | Trump 3016 | Haha, surprisingly cool game, despite what the title screen would have you believe. I remember you from Coinslot! It seems we both made "political" games this year. A Trump roguelike is something I thought I'd never see. <br/> <br/>I don't really know if there's an ending since I ran into a charizard and he creamed me with one hit. <br/> <br/>Anyways, I'm assuming due to how RPG Maker works, you won't actually fight enemies unless you're FACING them, so I was easily able to just waltz around rooms full of enemies. <br/> <br/>I'm glad to know ASCII/Enterbrain is still using those old sound effects from RM2k. The music fit really well until Kevin MacLeod reared his ugly yet familiar head in the grasslands section. If there's anything that can ruin a game's immersion more than that, I'd like to see it. The outside portion/first stages of the hotel's music were really great though. |
| Aug 30 04:15:00 | 45m 00s | The Creature from East Second Street | Pretty odd game- I think you hit the "uncanny valley" of storytelling, (maybe unintentionally?) Seeing the girl go through a date with an ostensible blob monster, overlaid with Pacman-esque (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEYxgqnK27c) voices and an overly-attached dialogue really sort of weirds ya out. Though that might be what you were shooting for. <br/> <br/>Don't get me wrong though it was interesting as well (and one of the few "visual novels" that is actually videographic). |
| Aug 30 14:01:00 | 9h 46m | Easter Hunt | Some control instruction would have been nice but the graphics were alright. |
| Aug 30 15:17:00 | 1h 16m | Nightcrawler | The graphics and mood are fantastic. It's clear that you didn't have much time to polish, but this game was still interesting. I'd recommend the creation of a post-ludum version |
| Aug 30 22:57:00 | 7h 40m | HUNGRY BUNCH | It's definitely a neat little trifle of a game. And I learned what jAllegro was. Thanks for making this. |
| Sep 5 03:14:00 | 124h 17m | Urd Monster | Some serious collision detection bugs, and the text scroll at the beginning shot by unreadibly fast (I'm not sure if it's a joke or not) <br/> <br/>I really did like the music and the general concept though. |
| Sep 5 03:21:00 | 7m 00s | In the name of science! | Cool. Reminded me slightly of Robotron 3000. I'd be lying if I said the game wasn't incredibly buggy though. I did make it all the way to the end! |
| Sep 5 03:43:00 | 22m 00s | Almost Heroic | Haha, what a neat and very French game. The graphics were great, though the music was a bit beepy for the rest of the atmosphere. <br/> <br/>I enjoyed how the aliens all flew in at the end, the sudden cut to that was comical. |
| Sep 5 03:55:00 | 12m 00s | Aglæca | Whoo, Beowulf. I liked the random generation and the graphics, but I'm not really sure how the strategy comes into play, since it seems like I just get decimated by the townspeople no matter what I do (years of tyranny, eh?) <br/> <br/>I liked the mood of the game a lot. |
| Sep 5 04:11:00 | 16m 00s | People's Mandatory Video Entertainment | Now That's What I Call Edgy. <br/> <br/>Is that a weird rendition of Gangnam Style at the very beginning? |
| Sep 11 03:19:00 | 143h 08m | Escape From Twump Tower | Pretty cool game. The music was beepy and repetitive but really that's my only complaint, aside from very glitchy box physics (I almost got completely stuck at one point because of overlapping boxes) <br/> <br/>The music really reminds me of Robopon 2 for the GBA-- check it out, it's oddly familiar. |
| Sep 13 19:23:00 | 64h 04m | You are the Monster(creator)! | A pretty weird entry but it's kinda cool nonetheless. I have an affection for these community-driven arty non-games and I like that you did it in 72 hours. <br/> <br/>Me and my friend actually made something mildly similar a few ludums back about rube goldberg machines. |
| Sep 13 19:47:00 | 24m 00s | Dude, Stop | Pretty funny. I didn't get a few of them and some were difficult to figure out but the interpretation of the theme is really cool. |
| Sep 13 20:06:00 | 19m 00s | SnakeLike | Really well made game. I had to check it out in MMF2 to see how you did it. Great work. |
