| Dec 8 05:02:00 | Tavern King | I couldn't start the game. Such a pity. Looks very cool from the outside though. | |
| Dec 8 05:08:00 | 6m 00s | Contact Cowboy | Took a while to truly understand the game but it is really great! Reminds me of a minigame called Fruit on a Wii U game called Game & Wario. |
| Dec 8 05:31:00 | 23m 00s | GAMER TOAD* | The title threw me off, even with the *, so I kept getting one point. But after I figured it out, I realized that it's awesome! |
| Dec 8 18:38:00 | 13h 07m | Trader | Intriguing. Reminds me of A Dark Room. I can't say this compelled me to play a long time, but it almost did!—I like the concept and I'm intrigued. |
| Dec 8 18:41:00 | 3m 00s | Man on the Field | Yep, that's pretty much totally brilliant. Hints of Papers Please with more eye-hand coordination juiciness (which thing do I look at?—the wound or the buttons?! But it's a good confusion). Love it. |
| Dec 8 18:43:00 | 2m 00s | Happy Christmas, Deer | Beautiful, funny, but, uh, theme fail. Nice job anyway. |
| Dec 8 18:48:00 | 5m 00s | ColorBlocks | Great audio. Nice little game. |
| Dec 8 18:52:00 | 4m 00s | Eternal War | Really cool concept in a beautiful presentation. I had trouble getting keys to respond though. |
| Dec 8 18:58:00 | 6m 00s | Nuclear Power Plant Simulator 2014 | Best game I've tried so far. I simply adore this. It's so simple, yet so intriguing. Am I wrong in thinking those are your lips flapping during the "explosion" at the end, there? |
| Dec 8 18:59:00 | 1m 00s | Escape the Bug Screen | Brilliant use of the theme. Point-and-clicks are not naturally the most fun games, but you get big marks for nice graphics and overall creativity. |
| Dec 8 19:01:00 | 2m 00s | Do You Want to Build a Snowman? | Cute. Fun. Clever. Theme fail, but nice game anyway. |
| Dec 8 19:02:00 | 1m 00s | Snowy's Escape | Cute. Wrong theme, but nice start to a platform. But give a brother a jump key! |
| Dec 8 21:17:00 | 2h 15m | Entity Unchained | Nice. I dig the text visuals and the Smash TV gameplay. |
| Dec 8 21:21:00 | 4m 00s | Pixel Peon | This is actually rather great. At first I felt like it was going to be tedious, but then I realized what was going on: interesting player physics+waitress-style mechanics+"screen" theme = very nice job! |
| Dec 8 21:23:00 | 2m 00s | Kill The Snowmen | Lovely game! Man I hate those snowmen. Must spam them with snow! |
| Dec 8 21:26:00 | 3m 00s | The Storage room | I struggled to shoot the bad guys—if they were too close I'd just shoot through them, and other times they just wouldn't die. Nice concept though. |
| Dec 8 21:28:00 | 2m 00s | Beautiful Yoga Explosion | Destructible terrain! How awesome is that? Nice multiplayer game. |
| Dec 8 21:31:00 | 3m 00s | Snowbotron | Freezes for me on the opening screen. Looks promising! |
| Dec 8 21:35:00 | 4m 00s | TV Top | Yep, took me a few plays to figure out the goal, but in the end...yeah, it's fun! And I love that the game itself is explicitly not limited to a screen (you can move the view), but it *is* "on a single screen." I've always wanted one of those arcade cocktail machines for my house. |
| Dec 8 21:37:00 | 2m 00s | Polyfill | Oh that is clever. Very nice puzzler. |
| Dec 8 21:41:00 | 4m 00s | Ant Farm | Nice premise. I couldn't get anything to happen though.

Wait? How is this in the theme? |
| Dec 8 21:44:00 | 3m 00s | Not Making It | That's funny. Bizarre. But funny. |
| Dec 8 21:46:00 | 2m 00s | Zombies Vs Army | Worked for me. I can't understand the controls, but it sort of plays itself, so kind of fun. Nice models though. |
| Dec 8 21:48:00 | 2m 00s | Escape from the Credits | All right that's clever. Pretty fun, but very funny. |
| Dec 8 21:49:00 | 1m 00s | Space Navels | Kind of a brilliant idea kind of destroyed by insane controls. Shift+Left click to fire? What?! |
| Dec 8 21:52:00 | 3m 00s | Gray Goo | Really cool concept and it's nice to play, with great graphics. Avoiding enemy fire is too difficult for me though, leaving me feeling a bit pointless, like no amount of skill will prevail. So it's a promising idea that just needs tuning. |
| Dec 8 21:54:00 | 2m 00s | The Paper Dance | Sweet. As in "Ah, sweet." Very nice look. |
| Dec 8 21:58:00 | 4m 00s | Much Ado About Pirates | Wow, you've got a lot going on in here. So far I'd say this is the game that kept me the most engrossed for longest. Great job! |
| Dec 8 22:01:00 | 3m 00s | DEATH POLICE 3000 | Wow. Uh... not sure whether to enjoy this or not. It deserves some props though. |
| Dec 8 22:05:00 | 4m 00s | Fibonacci Grid | Awesome concept nicely executed! |
| Dec 9 22:54:00 | 24h 49m | Law Breaker | Simply incredible. Incredible. |
| Dec 11 19:25:00 | 44h 31m | The Operator | Terrific. Amazing! |
| Dec 11 19:27:00 | 2m 00s | The Warehouse | It's tough but a brilliant and fun idea. Reminds me a bit of Blink (Dr. Who). |
| Dec 11 19:30:00 | 3m 00s | The Top Floor | Yep, not real clear on what I'm doing, but it really feels like all the pieces are there. Another few hours of work...? |
| Dec 12 14:15:00 | 18h 45m | Turn a cave! | I found this quite brilliant and legitimately fun. It reminds me, of course, of the board game Labyrinth.

If I were improving it, I would:

* Either allow long-distance pathfinding (click anywhere for which there is a visible path and the character will go there automatically), or show a visual indicator as you mouse over tiles that reminds the player that the four tiles adjacent to the player are the only ones he can gainfully click on.
* Show a clearer end-result/threat. In the end I stopped playing despite enjoying the underlying mechanics because I didn't feel an ovearching purpose.
* Eliminate "dead end" tiles. There are enough dead end situations without them: that is, corners and straights often conspire to make a path impossible. I don't think dead ends are necessary, and I think they slow down the game and amplify the risk of unwinnable situations.

The name, by the way, rhymes with "Tourniquet!", which is kind of funny. |
| Dec 12 16:08:00 | 1h 53m | Neighboring | Super cool. I want to play this in a bigger, expanded form. Please keep developing it! |
| Dec 14 00:58:00 | 32h 50m | /cast | What in the heck? |
| Dec 14 01:07:00 | 9m 00s | Parable of the Broken Window | Super clever and pretty fun. Great! |
| Dec 14 01:17:00 | 10m 00s | All Is Lost | Brilliant. Really fun. My #1 recommendation would be to remove the auto-tracking on shots, because as it is I found that if I just spammed the fire button I never lost everyone. |
| Dec 14 01:20:00 | 3m 00s | Hands Race | Totally awesome. I've evaluated a lot of games in LD31, and this is one of the very few that I would choose to play again. Fantastic for education value and implementation quality. |
| Dec 15 21:58:00 | 44h 38m | SumoBall! | The art is strong with this one. Nice gameplay too and good sound. |
| Dec 16 15:12:00 | 17h 14m | Ghost Digger | I liked this. It's like one slice of Minecraft, purified. |
| Dec 16 16:34:00 | 1h 22m | Ricochet Heroes | Totally genius. Pinball meets RPG. Wow. Just wow. |
| Dec 16 16:41:00 | 7m 00s | Animal Roar | Terrific graphics. Nice platformer. |
| Dec 16 20:17:00 | 3h 36m | Game of the Probability Goose | Yep, totally brilliant. Captures something fundamental about board games in general and makes it explicit. |
| Dec 16 20:19:00 | 2m 00s | Beat Bop Delicious | Love the theme, and it's darned fun. |
| Dec 16 20:23:00 | 4m 00s | Memories of Seasons | Beautiful music! Wonderful mood. |
| Dec 16 20:37:00 | 14m 00s | For the Homeland! | Wow, there's a lot of depth here. This could go far. |
| Dec 16 20:40:00 | 3m 00s | Cell 09 | Quite amazingly polished. Cool slot machine mechanism. |
| Dec 16 20:44:00 | 4m 00s | Where is my sword?! | Lotta cool stuff going on here: tiles, big boss, nice art, cool sword concept. I think the motion of the sword needs work though: it is unpredictable and not very fluid, and overall doesn't "sing" like it should. |
| Dec 16 20:46:00 | 2m 00s | Screened | Gnarly. I like the gritty guitar music and the post effects. |
| Dec 16 20:48:00 | 2m 00s | Rainbow Maze | Quite beautiful and a very clever use of the theme. |
| Dec 17 18:56:00 | 22h 08m | Super Engine Blast | Woah! I was totally about to go this way for LD31. You did a great job on the concept. |
| Dec 17 20:49:00 | 1h 53m | Tacit | I adore the idea of a game played with closed eyes, and the sounds you provide are brilliant. Great game! |
| Dec 20 15:58:00 | 67h 09m | Cat-ana | This game is so, so great in so many ways that it's disappointing that it is weak in other areas. It's one of the downsides to make a really great Jam entry: it gets so good that it's comparable to a shipped, fully polished game, and the comparison is disappointing. Here, the graphics and concept are outstanding and I could see myself buying this game. The downfall is, unfortunately, the gameplay itself: the actual mechanics of moving and attacking. It's not fun. It's really not fun. So you've got the shell of a game with absolutely beautiful and intriguing trappings, but it's empty inside. Fill in this shell with really engaging gameplay and you've got a winner. And "engaging gameplay" doesn't have to be complicated: just better movement and attacking mechanisms are all you need. |
