Apr 29 14:06:00 Gold Rush Dang, those other miners are OP! The art's a bit rough and the game ran really slow for me, but other than that good job!
Apr 29 15:15:00 1h 09m Growing Weird Plants I really like the sandbox element, but moving stuff around can be a bit frustrating. I did like it when I was able to 'capture' stuff in my organism (?) so maybe grabbing stuff should be a bit easier? Still, the basic idea of just working to grow plants is really neat!
Apr 29 15:26:00 11m 00s Hare's Harvest Excellent sense of progression, new elements are introduced in a really gradual way, and the consequences of the new elements are expounded upon well, although you probably could have done even more with them (I'm guessing you were limited by time in that regard). My only negative comments are that it's a bit hard to tell the difference between stomped and un-stomped burrows, and it's possible to exploit the dogs on the last level to avoid the stomped burrows entirely. Still, really great!
Apr 29 15:29:00 3m 00s Mine Explorer Fantastic art and music. I wanted more!
Apr 29 15:32:00 3m 00s Playbuck Not a bad concept, but it seems like you win by hitting a rather arbitrary point in the level, rather than by, um, 'befriending' bunnies.
Apr 29 15:36:00 4m 00s RAD - Robot Assisted Digging Good use of tilemap destruction, and provides an interesting resource management problem. Maybe there should have been a 'gate' to the next level, like collect X gold to progress?
Apr 29 15:41:00 5m 00s SPACESHIP WIZARD I will grant you that this is probably the only game where you're fetching things for a 'tower cow'. Very difficult though, and way too easy to go off screen -- and then stay there.
Apr 29 15:45:00 4m 00s Subocula I did not see that coming. You might actually want to remove some of those screenshots so as to not spoil the surprise. I was genuinely surprised and creeped out, good job! Is there more than one ending?
Apr 29 15:49:00 4m 00s Sundiver Neat concept, the game gets difficult *very* fast if you take any damage, but maybe that's just because I'm bad at games.
Apr 29 16:03:00 14m 00s Under Our Feet Double jumping wasn't obvious, which you know, but aside from that there was a good use of signposting (literally!) to introduce elements, hazards, etc. The movement was a bit rough, but I did really like that you could arrest your momentum by reversing direction.
Apr 29 16:17:00 14m 00s Winter Is Coming . . . Surprisingly fun, although it's a bit slow at first if your nutrients are all blocked by water. Would be nice if there was a score you were aiming for, or if you were trying to stockpile a certain amount of nutrients/water by winter.
Apr 29 16:23:00 6m 00s Come Home Great environment art and tunes, and a clever interpretation of the theme, but I wish you had been a bit less explicit about what the daughter had done (leaving it to the players' imagination). Also, many times what people in the game express actually reflects what's 'beneath the surface', so it doesn't use the concept to its fullest. Still, clever and unique, good job!
Apr 29 18:18:00 1h 55m Head First! I'm not a fan of the suicide aspect personally, and I didn't see how balloons affected the game at all.
Apr 29 18:24:00 6m 00s Apologeticum Really innovative, and there's a nice "show not tell" aspect in the second level. A nice gradual addition of elements keeps things fresh, but it is a bit buggy (I beat the last level several times without doing anything).
Apr 29 18:26:00 2m 00s Underneath Our Faces Solid concept and well executed. That music tho D:
Apr 29 18:32:00 6m 00s Maniac PengMaku!! Aww! Penguins are rad. Very simple, but I did like that there was a low punishment for failure, with a "game over" only resulting in a level restart and no serious penalty before that.
Apr 29 18:42:00 10m 00s Forgotten Sea Not sure how it fits in the theme (especially since you're above the sea), but the art is top notch and the effects are great (the water looks great). Would be a great exploration-focused game if there was more to see and do. The dash mechanic stopping your momentum is a pain, it would have made movement more fluid if it didn't do that.
Apr 29 18:44:00 2m 00s Skydiver Pretty solid movement! Wish there was more!
Apr 29 18:47:00 3m 00s SUPER ROBO GARDEN ARENA The hail of arrows is very satisfying! Even unfinished, it's pretty rad.
Apr 29 18:54:00 7m 00s Beneath the Mountain Was confusing at first, but then things became a bit more obvious. It is pretty unbalanced; with the shield, a couple of catapults, and a couple of balistas, you're basically invincible.
Apr 29 18:56:00 2m 00s Bob Not a bad sandbox, and the physics are good (nape?). Too bad you couldn't finish!
Apr 29 18:59:00 3m 00s Unminor A clever interpretation of the theme, not sure about the controls, but still a pretty neat take on the classic Minesweeper formula!
Apr 29 19:02:00 3m 00s Above and Below I like the way teleporting works, would have been neat to see this fleshed out into a full game where you warp into some sort of mirror world.
Apr 29 21:12:00 2h 10m Ant World A bit rough, but the terrain deformation is done really well!
Apr 30 13:44:00 16h 32m Submarines Vs. Airplanes A lot of fun! Would have been nice to be able to move submarines as a group, or use your missiles to defend against the enemy's (you can call FlxG.collide(missileGroup, missileGroup) to collide stuff with itself). It also gets impossible very quickly!
Apr 30 19:20:00 5h 36m FedIt! Really unforgiving! I kept shooting the food on accident, but it didn't seem like there was a point to stockpiling food?
Apr 30 19:27:00 7m 00s Beneath Neat concept, would have loved to see it taken further, but really tough. It's also too easy to get killed by coming up under a box; maybe doing that should just push you aside instead?
May 1 17:53:00 22h 26m Wriggle Worm Surprisingly fun and challenging, with a fairly relaxing vibe (until you get hit).
May 1 18:03:00 10m 00s Beneath The Memories The platforming is a bit rough but the unexpected twists really made this a stand-out entry. Good work!
May 2 18:43:00 24h 40m The Sea Has No Claim A great entry, of course! Really morbid, and there's a lot of variety in the tools at your disposal. Would have loved sound, but its exclusion is understandable.
May 3 19:35:00 24h 52m Super Nail Gun Warrior Reminds me of the Unfinished Swan, but the nail collide sound effect was really bad.
May 3 19:41:00 6m 00s Reaper Why did I keep dying?
May 3 19:52:00 11m 00s From the Under Really fun, though a bit floaty. The biggest problem was that just about every run, I would fall through the floor and then be stuck in another room, so I had to restart. It's a shame!
May 3 19:59:00 7m 00s Pelican Challenge Super fun!
May 3 20:08:00 9m 00s Under Maintenance Fun-fun
May 3 20:11:00 3m 00s Roots Really difficult, I could only get a few drops before I didn't have enough water to make roots.
May 3 20:26:00 15m 00s mungo: wrenchlord Whoa, a really solid platformer with tons of charm and unique puzzles? Awesome!
May 3 20:46:00 20m 00s The Huntress With even the tiniest indication of where the creature was -- a roar that got louder, some sort of radar ping -- this would be an interesting hunt.
May 3 20:50:00 4m 00s 24100 A truly unique take on the theme, but half-life refers to the amount of time it will take half of something to decay away, not how long it will take it to decay for the first time. You could have had little chunks of the buried material falling off and changing color over time, with half still left at year 24100. Still, a very powerful message!
May 3 20:53:00 3m 00s Smash When they collided, it was pretty neat. Would be interesting to see an expanded take on pixel/cell division!
May 3 22:26:00 1h 33m PlanetShooter Sorry, but this is a broken modification to a freely available demo project.
May 3 22:30:00 4m 00s Dark Escape Interesting concept, the overlaid map is probably superfluous, and I gave up because I had no idea what to look for.
May 3 22:31:00 1m 00s GuppyShark Webpage is not available :(
May 3 22:34:00 3m 00s Infinite Hell Loop Interesting, pretty confusing but I guess I "got it" after a few tries.
May 3 22:35:00 1m 00s Leagues Above Pretty fun! A bit fidgety to control, but that's ok.
May 4 02:24:00 3h 49m Dolphin and Rainbows !?!?! So awesome! I made a game with my kids last time around, what you pulled off is pretty impressive! The sound and art are great and I cannot believe that you pulled this off with C++. Good work!
May 4 02:33:00 9m 00s The Missing Potato I loved every minute of this. Seriously, this is one of my favorite games of the jam. The lighting effects are amazing, and story is hilarious, and the out-of-control physics are a blast. I lost it when I had to get past that dude's bed. Awesome!
May 4 02:40:00 7m 00s Drop The Light The moving platforms caught me totally off-guard!
May 4 02:42:00 2m 00s Beneath The Fun Every time I jumped, I flipped, and it didn't seem like I could right myself. :(
May 4 02:49:00 7m 00s Root cause The rate of natural water replenishment could not sustain my ridiculous rate of growth. I expanded to cover the map, and then perished. I would not make a good plant.
May 4 02:51:00 2m 00s Surface Come Spotty hit detection made it very difficult to play, but it had a good sense of style and looks darn good for HTML5. Nice work!
May 4 02:52:00 1m 00s (HTML5) Under YOUR Skin Super difficult! Also possible to keep shooting after you die.
May 4 02:56:00 4m 00s Fish Legacy: Beneath The Surface Nice intro! The game was pretty tough.
May 4 02:58:00 2m 00s Beneath the Cave Great animations, and super stylish. Some solid music would have brought it home.
May 4 03:02:00 4m 00s Snack on the fly Does this game play a sound of you breathing? Because that freaked me out.
May 4 03:15:00 13m 00s Truffles Pretty nifty! Lava is what, again?
May 4 03:21:00 6m 00s DEEP SEA FREEDIVER I like that this is essentially the same idea and engine as my game, except that this is under water while mine is under ground. Pretty fun! That lady is *demanding*
May 4 03:24:00 3m 00s Dark Moles! That adorable paraplegic is really vicious towards those moles!
May 4 03:29:00 5m 00s Get The Bone :O I did not see that coming! Gets sluggish at the bottom, and it doesn't seem like you can win, but still very unique.
May 4 03:32:00 3m 00s Shady has to eat You'd think that if a monster was eating people on the street, at some point, people would stop coming out. :)
May 4 03:34:00 2m 00s Super Scrool Bros I kept falling out of the level, but I *wanted* to play!
May 4 03:36:00 2m 00s Fistula Foragers Interesting, but I seemed to just fall and fall and couldn't really get anywhere.
May 4 03:39:00 3m 00s Dr. Brainwire Pretty neat little puzzle game, but figuring out where to path the neurons is a lot of guesswork, as you can't tell what your options are just by looking at it.
May 5 20:43:00 41h 04m Sail Really fun! The obvious inspiration is OK in my eyes, it's still pretty neat!
May 6 03:11:00 6h 28m SUBTWEET: The Card Game I always love to see analog games in LD. Great idea, and well thought out!
May 9 17:23:00 86h 12m Arctic Antics Love it! Great art and sound, awesome concept, incredibly difficult.
May 9 17:26:00 3m 00s DRAANG I liked so much about this, except for my inability to understand it at all.
May 9 17:33:00 7m 00s Down Wonderful sound and graphics, but the gameplay's a bit bland.
May 9 17:39:00 6m 00s God Hunter Very enjoyable, simple and fun. The flavor text was always great. That bug though! Made it to level 7 or so and got totally stuck on it.
May 9 17:43:00 4m 00s The Stones Back Home Lots of fun, but if you weren't lucky enough to get a few triangles on the first leve, the second is impossible.
May 9 17:52:00 9m 00s Hey, you!! Very simple but I love the concept!
May 9 17:58:00 6m 00s And the Moment Is Gone As nerve-wracking as talking to strangers is in real life!
May 9 18:23:00 25m 00s Switcher I had a lot of fun with this one, but couldn't win! I would happily pay to see a game where this is the final level.
May 9 18:25:00 2m 00s Wunderheilung Sir, you have a cigarette in your mouth.
May 9 18:37:00 12m 00s Insane Grandpa Took me waaay to long to beat Barney, but it was worth it. Dark and memorable!
May 9 18:43:00 6m 00s Neath Really solid and short (but sweet) adventure. Very atmospheric, though the ending is a bit silly.
May 9 18:45:00 2m 00s Lounge Lord Hipster DJ Simulator 2014!
May 9 18:48:00 3m 00s SWIM HARD The halfway switcheroo kills it. This game is awesome.
May 9 18:56:00 8m 00s Descent A bit inspired by Hyper Light Drifter perhaps? Super atmosphere with great graphics, I could *not* get past the mage, which was a shame.
May 9 18:59:00 3m 00s Hi It's Julian High marks for being really disturbing, would have loved to see more.
May 9 19:02:00 3m 00s Atomicle - LostAutumn.net Really polished and fun, but the idea of playing as a neutron orbiting a nucleus caused me to unlearn some high school chemistry.
May 9 19:07:00 5m 00s Epilepsy The glitchiness had me hooked, but the core gameplay was incredibly difficult and flat-out frustrating at times. Maybe an 'attack' of sorts to destroy nearby particles?
May 9 19:20:00 13m 00s BENEATH the SURFACE A wonderful take on the theme with a great Sentris-esque aesthetic and probably one of the best finales of the jam. Great work!
May 9 19:25:00 5m 00s The world beneath Despite occasional glitchiness, this was a great atmospheric game!
May 9 19:48:00 23m 00s 30 Days Remain A really interesting game with an element of Papers, Please. I didn't realize you could change levels until about day 20, then I lost just a few shy of day 30. Tough!
May 9 19:51:00 3m 00s Ramen Master I also ask for my noodles to have fillingness!
May 9 19:53:00 2m 00s Delve Easily the best graphics of the jam, a really wonderful aesthetic, though the gameplay is a bit simple.
May 9 20:07:00 14m 00s Mind Hacker Of course, you can't unlock the mind prison without a hat.
May 9 20:09:00 2m 00s No Eyes Willy Interesting! The art is definitely awesome.
May 9 21:05:00 56m 00s Surf Camp: The Legend of the Surf Ace This is probably in my top 5 for this Ludum Dare. I played this for longer than I'd care to admit, trying to beat the Surf Ace. Please, PLEASE extend this into a full game with tons of minigames.
May 9 21:14:00 9m 00s Skolgbor You always make something awesome, Nik. Great as always!
May 9 21:23:00 9m 00s Badrock Machine Hey, you had the same idea as us! It's okay, this is a blast too. :)
May 9 21:31:00 8m 00s Final Move Your voice actor sounds a *lot* like the guy who does Spike from Cowboy Bebop (in addition to about a million other cartoon voices).
May 9 21:40:00 9m 00s Blunderer The concept is really unique, but now I know how John Romero feels: I've never gotten so motion-sick from a game in my life.
May 9 21:50:00 10m 00s Where Gods Sleep An awesome abstract puzzler. Nice!
May 13 19:34:00 93h 44m Planet Improver Awesome take on the theme, and super impressive for "just" a browser game!
May 13 19:38:00 4m 00s GeoCrush Hard to play, runs very fast, and the sounds aren't great.
May 13 20:14:00 36m 00s Rocket Mole The bounce mechanic is interesting, even if you do play as a naked baby. ;)
May 13 20:17:00 3m 00s Escape - Beneath the Surface Not bad, would have liked to have seen it completed!
May 13 20:20:00 3m 00s Truth How was it worded? An open door is the easiest to go through, even if it doesn't lead where you want to go? Pretty deep.
