|---|---|---|---|
| Dec 17 03:51:00 | The Vigilante: Single Shot Justice | Really polished, with a great art style. And excellent writing! | |
| Dec 17 03:59:00 | 8m 00s | A Cup of Christmas Fear | A bit confusing, especially at the beginning. With the countdown, this may have made more sense for the last jam? |
| Dec 17 04:18:00 | 19m 00s | Charcoal | Solid concept, well executed. Really the biggest downfall is the sounds. The walk sound is like a robot, and the "creepy" sounds are a bit grating. |
| Dec 17 04:28:00 | 10m 00s | Cascade | Great concept! Maybe a video of play could have sold the idea better? |
| Dec 17 04:32:00 | 4m 00s | Last of Kind | Runs really slow and choppy, even though the screen is tiny. Still, not a bad interpretation of the theme! |
| Dec 17 04:41:00 | 9m 00s | G.T.F.O. | Short and to the point! "Dangerous pools have formed"... in these conveniently placed pools! :) |
| Dec 17 04:47:00 | 6m 00s | One For All & All For One | Interesting, but highly confusing. I see what you're going for, though. I ran out of ONE and then got an error, something like "Unable to find file Graphics/Gameover". |
| Dec 17 05:06:00 | 19m 00s | YOG1D | A really great and super-minimalist game. I, unfortunately, could not get past the second (third?) level at all. |
| Dec 17 05:16:00 | 10m 00s | Afterwife | Pretty good platforming concept, but after I retrieve the bride I can't do the next obvious thing, so I was stuck. Also forces fullscreen, which is weird but not a big deal. |
| Dec 17 05:21:00 | 5m 00s | OfficeRage | Hey, making an interactive borderless windowed cross-platform tiled map editor with a huge map is no small feat!

For those wondering how tall the tower is: it is very very tall. |
| Dec 17 05:25:00 | 4m 00s | One Legged Jonny | Executable crashes but the LOVE file works. |
| Dec 17 05:29:00 | 4m 00s | Elves' Eve | Score: 381 points! Woo! I beat my record of -20,000! |
| Dec 17 05:35:00 | 6m 00s | RETRIEVAL - a First Person Boomerang Puzzler | Runs horribly on my old laptop, but that's not exactly your fault; still, would be nice to have the option to download. Also, I tried to throw the boomerang and it disappeared. :( |
| Dec 17 05:44:00 | 9m 00s | Metal Track | Simple and fun concept, executed very well. Good job! |
| Dec 17 05:48:00 | 4m 00s | You only get one stone | I really have no idea what to do. Still, writing an LD game in C++ using SDL is impressive! |
| Dec 17 05:54:00 | 6m 00s | You Only Get Juan | Really simple and surprisingly fun, but I often got hurt by non-Juans when the bus was auto-reversing. |
| Dec 17 05:58:00 | 4m 00s | Lestac | Created a white, large window and then instantly crashed. Win7 64-bit. The screenshots look pretty though! |
| Dec 17 06:05:00 | 7m 00s | Casting Call | ha ha ha WHAT?! |
| Dec 17 06:12:00 | 7m 00s | You Will Die Alone At Sea | I left the sea and ended up somewhere... beyond the sea. Good, or bad? |
| Dec 17 06:15:00 | 3m 00s | One True God | Did you make SimChurch in three days?! How? |
| Dec 17 20:13:00 | 13h 58m | To That Sect | Since when does Angelina work in 3D? Also, it's creepy that your robot is making games about bizarre flying statues under a black sky. |
| Dec 17 20:34:00 | 21m 00s | You only get one arrow | A surprisingly fun game! The simple graphics were off-putting at first but there's a lot of depth to setting up your shot and retrieving your arrow. The boss is great too; tough, but fair. But the font is an eyesore! |
| Dec 17 21:33:00 | 59m 00s | The Turmeric Jam Jar's Only Game. | This game has a strange, wonderful internal logic and, as you understand it, you are able to progress. This is a great thing! So many games have to tell you everything, this game lets you figure it out. That said, I bumped a pitcher to the edge of a ledge as I was jumping down, effectively blocking me from going back up ever again, so I was stuck. :( |
| Dec 18 01:31:00 | 3h 58m | Shine | My son and I played this as a two-player game. He did not like the wall of death! |
| Dec 18 01:45:00 | 14m 00s | TITAN SOULS | The game is awesome, but the brain was creepy. |
| Dec 18 02:06:00 | 21m 00s | Underbyte | Really great interpretation of the theme; I don't think I've seen a single-use invincibility yet! Burning Tiger (my son) says: "your game is amazing and I like the idea of invincibility." |
| Dec 18 03:38:00 | 1h 32m | Sole Survivor | Great use of the Wilhelm scream! Unfortunately, the AI was a bit daft and commonly got stuck. |
| Dec 18 04:04:00 | 26m 00s | Eldritch Racing | The driving controls are a bit difficult, but this is a really unique take on the racing genre! |
| Dec 18 04:10:00 | 6m 00s | One Memory | Neat interpretation of the theme, it's a shame you couldn't finish! |
| Dec 18 04:17:00 | 7m 00s | Destroy The Blocks (V: 1.3 Alpha) | The thing about a Breakout game is that you need to make sure the player can apply an angle to the ball no matter what; after a few bounces, my ball was going straight up and down and I could do nothing to change it. |
| Dec 18 04:24:00 | 7m 00s | Hot Wife: Belarus | I would rather play a Belarus marriage service simulator than another zombie game. However, the game seems to self-resolve after a single click, and it happens so quickly there's no chance to see or understand the rules of the game. Unique concept though. |
| Dec 18 19:03:00 | 14h 39m | Sweat Marathon | Clever perspective on the theme, although fat guy humor is not particularly awesome. I use FlashDevelop/HaxeFlixel quite a bit with no problems, if you need help feel free to tweet at me: @stvr_tweets |
| Dec 18 19:08:00 | 5m 00s | Lift Up | A D O R A B L E. The controls get a bit fidgety at times, but this is a lot of fun! |
| Dec 18 19:21:00 | 13m 00s | Only One Chance | This is really great! A short and sweet story about robots with solid platforming. Nice! |
| Dec 18 19:26:00 | 5m 00s | One Job One Shot | A really fun, solid, simple mechanic with a lot of depth in a bug-free package. Very impressive for two days! |
| Dec 18 19:29:00 | 3m 00s | one-sec | A very pretty take on the whack-a-mole genre. Would work nice on a touch screen! |
| Dec 18 23:53:00 | 4h 24m | One Dream | Relaxing music, a muted palette, and a slow pace. A nice, mellow, game! Good work! |
| Dec 19 02:54:00 | 3h 01m | Find the one 1 | Surprisingly fun for a hit-switch-and-run-to-door game. Shame you didn't get further along! |
| Dec 19 13:29:00 | 10h 35m | un-Equipped | I love how this is like a family-friendly Hotline Miami. |
| Dec 19 13:35:00 | 6m 00s | Go Home | Neat idea! Maybe the movement was a bit slow, but the concept is solid and the graphics are super pretty! |
| Dec 19 13:40:00 | 5m 00s | One vs. Legion | It's very difficult to control, as others have noted. I always ended up with my mouse just following enemy ships, or protecting my ship directly. However, the concept is very unique, and the upgrade system adds replayability, so this could have some real potential with some tweaking! |
| Dec 19 14:09:00 | 29m 00s | Last Chance Supermarket | Yes. This is amazing. A roguelike shopping sim? I love it. There's so much strategy that emerges as you learn what's in which isle, keep an eye on your list while watching out for other shoppers, etc. And then there's the thrill of narrowly avoiding a crash at the last minute! My only problem was that items were getting garbage collected that I needed to buy :( Also, it seems like it would be possible to crash into a cart that spawns right in front of you, but I didn't experience that. This is definitely in my top 10 for the compo! |
| Dec 19 16:55:00 | 2h 46m | Cubinca | Very, very simple but effective. |
| Dec 19 17:00:00 | 5m 00s | Lost Gems | A pretty solid concept, but the enemies are super tough, and winning or losing pretty much depends solely on how close you spawn to a sword. Also, walking diagonally is faster than walking straight. |
| Dec 19 17:03:00 | 3m 00s | YOGO Cookie | Surprisingly tough! The MS Paint graphics are... not great. |
| Dec 19 17:06:00 | 3m 00s | Our Man, Dragon | This is a good idea but the lack of audio, or any indication of success/failure is a downer. It seems like the enemy camps spawn really fast. I think a polished post-compo version could be really fun, though! |
| Dec 19 17:10:00 | 4m 00s | Look Up | Multiple alternating sliders are an interesting mechanic, but it's super-confusing the first time you play. |
| Dec 19 19:22:00 | 2h 12m | Mama is Sick | A gripping and sad experience. I wish the upgrades were a bit clearer, but the ability to go to the menu and re-read the instructions makes it better. Really powerful. |
| Dec 20 01:26:00 | 6h 04m | SPELLBREAKER | Really clever! Unlike anything else I've seen this jam. |
| Dec 20 01:32:00 | 6m 00s | Snowball Carnage | A lot of fun! |
| Dec 20 01:40:00 | 8m 00s | My Champion | Dang, this is frustrating. But it's a lot of fun, too! After getting a destroyed a few times you get the hang of it. |
| Dec 20 01:46:00 | 6m 00s | One Move | Super tricky to control, platforms are smaller and higher than they look... I couldn't get past the second level. :( |
| Dec 20 01:53:00 | 7m 00s | DISTANT WORLD FOR THE BOTH OF US | Fun but a bit confusing. Not sure how I could be "better" than my previous score. Sometimes failure seemed arbitrary. |
| Dec 20 02:26:00 | 33m 00s | Only one light | The fifth flame on the first level feels impossible to hit! It took a long time. Still, really fun and a cool, simple mechanic. |
| Dec 20 02:43:00 | 17m 00s | Monocraft | This is a great take on the theme, but it would be REALLY nice if you could see your block after you place it! |
| Dec 20 02:46:00 | 3m 00s | Only One Punch | Cool idea, but after charging up my punch for a bit, my character got stuck in some sort of dodge loop, and I couldn't get out. |
| Dec 21 02:05:00 | 23h 19m | Shield or Sword - Jam Entry - Gian | Tons of dependencies, takes forever to load, and then; I picked up the sword? And then nothing happened. I walked off the ledge, and it went back to the main menu. :( |
| Dec 21 02:06:00 | 1m 00s | To the Moon! | Aside from taking the name of a recent successful indie game, this game seems utterly broken. I was unable to move, broke some blocks, a monster was attacking me, I guess? To no effect. |
| Dec 22 22:02:00 | 43h 56m | Direction | Well you fit the theme nicely, and having some kind of semi-random respawn mechanic is an interesting solution to problems inherent in unidirectional gameplay, but the unpredictability of spawns makes this far to frustrating and not enough fun. |
| Dec 23 04:43:00 | 6h 41m | Dangerous pursuit | The art is not only well done but implemented well; it looks and feels like playing a kid's drawing! However, you should not have used Disasterpeace's copyrighted music without permission. :( |
| Dec 23 04:54:00 | 11m 00s | Kittens for Science ! | Not a bad idea, but you seem to be able to try as many times as you want without the level mechanics changing. |
| Dec 24 22:49:00 | 41h 55m | Out | Best screengrab of the jam. At the end, when you start to realize what's happening, you really dread that bell. |
| Dec 24 23:53:00 | 1h 04m | #YOGO | Genius concept, simple but very intriguing. Nice work! |
| Dec 25 04:46:00 | 4h 53m | Charon | Sort of a hyper-minimalist labyrinth? I had to look over the comments before I "got" it, but I supposed with enough guesswork I would have figured it out. Beautiful graphics, and actually a cool idea (that could use some more signposting)! |
| Dec 28 05:31:00 | 72h 45m | Doki Doggie | The combo mechanic is fun, and pretty solid! A bit rough around the edges, but still a good idea. I like that you can almost do a pacifist run! |
| Dec 28 22:17:00 | 16h 46m | Braid 2 | Better than Braid. I consider this to be canon in the Braid universe. Basically The Witness. Fixes all of the problems in the original and improves on every aspect. I once asked Mr. Blow what Braid 2 would be like and he described this exact game. |
| Dec 30 01:10:00 | 26h 53m | No Mistakes. | Simple, terrifying, and excellent. |
| Dec 30 01:46:00 | 36m 00s | Fever Blue | Great game, pretty graphics, and the direction mechanic is really clever! |
| Dec 30 02:08:00 | 22m 00s | GAMEHAX | "Ha, I have super jump, surely the game will be unbalanced now," I thought, and continued to think about every power. The fact that you guys balanced a game that is about having cheat powers is amazing. |
| Dec 30 02:09:00 | 1m 00s | The Ninja | Clicked on the EXE to no avail. Win7 x64. |
| Dec 30 02:41:00 | 32m 00s | Doubt | Really pretty and great sound, of course. The story is a bit incoherent, but the dialogue is well-written, and while I would have liked a more "conclusive" ending, what we got was good for a 48h game. Nice work! |
| Dec 30 02:50:00 | 9m 00s | Fountain | The way the world desaturates as you age is powerful. It also makes the glitchy maze impossible! Brutally hard and very poignant. |
| Dec 30 03:33:00 | 43m 00s | Singular | Clever mechanic, reminds me a bit of Hundreds. The cascading red failure is pretty neat! I also like some of the hints in the beginning regarding the storyline. Some audio would make it more "juicy" though, and some of the writing was not great. |
| Dec 30 03:38:00 | 5m 00s | 0RBITALIS | Like a tiny Kerbal Space Program! :) |
| Dec 30 03:51:00 | 13m 00s | Princess Kingdom | Surprisingly engaging and funny! My only complaint is that I clicked a bookmark on accident and my progress was wiped... |
| Dec 30 03:56:00 | 5m 00s | Dead Planet | Well, if it doesn't work out, we have Mars too. We'll probably fix that place up real nice. Oh! The game is good fun and clever. I actually really like how earth does not look like a place worth protecting. |
| Dec 30 04:02:00 | 6m 00s | Crew: A Futuristic Detective Game | Really a neat take on a classic gameplay concept. As others have said the interplay of the dialogue could be refined, but this is a great base for a more intricate game! It would work well on a phone or tablet too. |
| Dec 30 04:09:00 | 7m 00s | Frontier To Nowhere | Very well drawn, and I think this is the first game I've played that has VO. But, it seems pretty arbitrary, and I didn't have any indication as to what I was supposed to be doing at any given point. |
| Jan 4 06:13:00 | 122h 04m | KOSMOTROT | Solid entry, a bit simple but fun. Would have liked to see the somewhat desolate mood of the music carried into the game more! |
| Jan 4 06:57:00 | 44m 00s | Tall Grass | An adorable game that really shows the power of PuzzleScript! |
| Jan 4 08:21:00 | 1h 24m | Burial | Dark, creepy, atmospheric and very strange. |
| Jan 4 08:29:00 | 8m 00s | M'Lady and The Tramp | How... what? I... don't even... WHY |
| Jan 4 08:32:00 | 3m 00s | Going Down | Wouldn't open or anything, Win7 x64. |
| Jan 4 08:47:00 | 15m 00s | Mother | Great feeling of tension, and creepiness. Not sure if the extra astronaut was a glitch or not, but it freaked me out either way. |
| Jan 4 08:51:00 | 4m 00s | One-Minute Robber | Really a unique concept... like a point-and-click adventure game where you're limited by your character's position and speed. Well done! |
| Jan 4 08:57:00 | 6m 00s | Public Mischief Performance | Jam Award: Best use of speech synthesis. |
| Jan 4 09:04:00 | 7m 00s | --- | For a game with only boolean choices, I did exceedingly well at always choosing the wrong one. |
| Jan 6 22:56:00 | 61h 52m | Only One Shot | Surprisingly smooth with the number of ships on-screen, and an interesting concept, but there's so little feedback for your action it's hard to see what's going on. Also, the score kept going up even after I got the "Final Score" screen, not sure if another shot fired or if my first shot was still bouncing around, or what. |
| Jan 6 23:03:00 | 7m 00s | One Step To Fail | Is the first coin (the one that's almost straight up) even possible to get? |
| Jan 6 23:11:00 | 8m 00s | Dinosaur Ranger Interview: Burrito Challenge SUPREME | I would not succeed in this situation, apparently. |
| Jan 6 23:17:00 | 6m 00s | Midnight Memories | Super confusing, shots seem completely ineffective, and I'm not sure what the point was. |
| Jan 6 23:31:00 | 14m 00s | Escape Of The Red Gem | Surprisingly fun but a bit frustrating. Got stuck fairly early on, which was a shame. |
