May 1 13:37:00 Sewer Escape Grats on your first entry! I was there myself not too long ago. :)

The game was a bit choppy on my Macbook, and while the level design was a bit simple the the robots really managed to instill a sense of dread. Those beeps... All in all, it's a nice first effort!
May 1 14:07:00 30m 00s Troubles beneath the surface Really nice graphics and audio (especially that creepy tune at the end), though the controls were a bit difficult to work with on my laptop. I would've liked the enemies to have been a bit more threatening, but overall I had a good time with this. Never realized you could surface for air since I used pickups and ports to restock. Also didn't realize I had limited ammo until I'd burned through all of my harpoons within five seconds of starting the game. :P
May 4 14:11:00 72h 04m Earth. Cool take on the theme, and I like the graphics. A bit of challenge could have added to it - maybe hide bad stuff underneath some tiles à la MineSweeper?
May 4 14:32:00 21m 00s The abyss within The music did a whole lot to create an atmosphere along with the lighting. Not much gameplay-wise though, and the choices weren't very interesting since the only real impact was whether or not you died. This could be more fun to play with some random generation or choices that directly affect the game world.
May 4 14:41:00 9m 00s Holy Moly Pretty fun little game. The boot made me smile the first time it came down. :) It's a pity the rats don't have any pathfinding, because this game would really benefit from having them start following you. I never had any difficulty avoiding them. What if they spawned nearby any of the remaining worms and could dig their own tunnels, so you had to get close to them?
May 4 16:15:00 1h 34m Digging for Gold Clever puzzle game that occasionally requires a lot thought to solve. Pity about the lacking sound, though... Either way I had a lot of fun with it. Grats on your first entry! :)
May 4 16:22:00 7m 00s Fishie Fruit Cute game with a nice beat and simple gameplay that makes you want to get as far as you can. My best score was 35245. Well done! :)
May 4 16:29:00 7m 00s Truffles Nice atmosphere and really pretty graphics! The elevator button sound hurt my ears a bit, though. Other than that, a solid platforming game and very good for a first effort. Grats, and good job! :)
May 4 16:37:00 8m 00s Billy Bigdigger This was a great game with awesome sound and graphics! A pity there were only three levels - this is the type of game that would really benefit from random generation. Good job! :)
May 4 16:45:00 8m 00s Beneath The Skin Really clever take on the theme! It was a bit difficult to protect the blood cells near the end when bacteria started spawning almost on top of them, but I managed to make it all the way through. Nice work!
May 4 16:55:00 10m 00s Dream of Depth Wow, pretty cool idea for a strategy game. I'd really like to see you go further with this! Pity about the lack of sound, but the graphics are awesome. It took a couple of minutes before I realized what I had to do (like pan the camera down, for instance) but once I did the game turned out pretty easy. A solid entry! :)
May 4 17:03:00 8m 00s PORTHOLE Abstract, unsettling and interesting. Good sound and graphic design, though the gameplay was a little lacking for me. The claymation was unexpected and really cool! :)
May 4 17:17:00 14m 00s Under the kitchen surface Oh, I remember you and your dad from last year. It's unusual but really awesome to see a parent and child both take part in a game competition! And your game is pretty cool game! I kept playing for several minutes, seeing how close I could get to the highscore. My best was 64012. :)
May 4 17:24:00 7m 00s Coal Not Dole Political satire! I'm not really the right age or nationality to completely "get it", but I suppose corrupt/horrible politicians are a universal subject matter. I love the voice-overs and the happy music. A bit difficult, but I guess that's part of the satire. :P
May 4 17:29:00 5m 00s Siren Song Really nice idea! The use of the breath meter is pretty clever. It quickly got very difficult to dodge the cannonballs, but I had fun. A solid entry, for sure! :)
May 4 17:43:00 14m 00s Super Plumber Brothers Sorry, the bad hit detection made it really hard for me to play this all the way through. Still, it's a really neat idea.
May 4 17:50:00 7m 00s Ben Eath the Surf Ace Okay, I'll give you extra points just for style. Short, fun little game with a really silly vibe and more humor than you can shake a Cool Dude at. No replay value, but still pretty fun for something made in a day. :)
May 4 18:34:00 44m 00s Escape - Beneath the Surface I use OSX, and it works for me. I can't seem to progress, though; I only found two items and then got stuck finding or doing anything else. I'm guessing this is part of the incompleteness of the game? It's a pity since I like "escape" games. Better luck next time!
May 4 18:48:00 14m 00s The Sadness of Rocky Barbato Humorous, sad, then creepy. But you kept me involved in the story from start to finish. I didn't expect much when I started, but I was sure shown what for - good job! :)
May 4 18:58:00 10m 00s In the Black Nice mood and a good tune. The interface was clean and stylish, and it wasn't obvious what decisions should be made to maximize profits and minimize risk at each point. Good work. :)
May 4 19:08:00 10m 00s An Osterreich tale, or something about ostriches Nice idea, but it was a bit too hard for me. It was a really cool take on the theme at least, with some nice music to boot. :)
May 9 20:02:00 120h 54m Blue waves Interactive aquarium, I like! Simple and soothing, takes me back to when lil' kid frogcheese got an aquarium of his own.
May 9 20:54:00 52m 00s Orbital Burrow Cool idea, great graphics and a sweet tune. And crushing invaders with the moon is really cathartic! I managed to keep going for almost seven minutes. With a bit more development, this could turn into something really awesome.
May 9 21:03:00 9m 00s Firefly Really fun, cool idea - easy at the start but progressively harder as more and more fireflies started stealing me and my mate's thunder. Interesting audio choice as well, though it was at its most effective when there were fewer fireflies around so it was easier to connect the notes to what was happening on screen.
May 9 21:09:00 6m 00s Beneath The Surface Nice obstacle course game. The diving sound got annoying pretty quickly, and the collision was a bit wonky (especially on level 5) but overall it was quick, simple fun.
May 9 21:32:00 23m 00s SUNK 124 seconds. Difficult. :/ It's a really simple game, but still effective, and an interesting take on the theme. And really polished too! Good job!
May 10 17:57:00 20h 25m Beneath The Darkness Nice, moodful little experience. It was a bit easy though, seeing as enemies did barely any damage and health powerups were very generous. Nice job on the cutscenes. :)
May 10 18:10:00 13m 00s Kill or Kill Humorous, one of the cooler takes on the theme I've seen. The sound design especially is awesome! The collision less so, but I don't expect brilliant collision detection in games made in 48 hours. My hat is off to you. :)
May 10 18:18:00 8m 00s Indie Space Miner It wasn't very clear what would cause a cave-in as I sometimes got killed on squares that were marked "harmless". The idea is nice, but the game would really benefit from more and clearer communication.
May 10 18:26:00 8m 00s Suck My Dig! This is really awesome for a first entry! The mechanic of digging to avoid danger and get up on top of ledges is pretty cool. I could see more done with this - different enemy types and maybe some interesting stuff underground?
May 10 18:34:00 8m 00s Dead Dead Resurrection Difficult, hectic, and a take on "beneath the surface" that I definitely didn't think of. I loved the tune; it really set a coffin-killing mood. I only managed to get 3000 points...
May 10 18:43:00 9m 00s The Last Packet of Pumpkin Seeds A bit on the short side, but well-written. Would've liked to see another character or two in there, or perhaps getting to see more signs and get more history of the main character and the people beneath the surface.
May 10 19:00:00 17m 00s Go Interesting and confusing puzzle game with great mood. I got pretty far, mostly by stumbling around, but I couldn't figure out "compliments yellow"... In any case, a nice, polished effort. Good job!
May 10 19:07:00 7m 00s Beneath Your House Sound and concept are really awesome! I had a bit of trouble getting the guy to go where I pointed, though. Would've liked to have a display that counts how many rings I collect, too.
May 10 19:14:00 7m 00s In The Caves Simple but fun, and a really nice first entry! I especially liked the 2.5d Graphics style and the animation on the character. Hope you stick around for future contests. :)
May 10 19:26:00 12m 00s Skin I had fun with this game! Taking control of the enemies was cool, but the coolest part was building a small army of zombies and then taking out your last enemies from behind while they were fighting your minions. Good work!
May 11 15:59:00 20h 33m UnderTheLibrary It's a cute little platformer with nice graphics and an impressive amount of polish, though it was a bit slow and wordy when explaining some of the basic concepts like the enemies. I still had fun with it, though - good job!
May 11 16:32:00 33m 00s Beneath the Surface - a 2D Puzzle-Platformer Impressive platform game with loads of levels! Collision was a bit wonky sometimes, and the physics were a bit slide-y, making it harder to get jumps right, but I played through and beat all of the levels in the end. Nice work!
May 11 16:48:00 16m 00s Living in a Kaboom submarine This game is absolutely amazing. The voice-overs are awesome, the gameplay is tense and really fun, especially with six submarines on the field. I played against the computer, but against five friends this could really be something.
May 11 17:29:00 41m 00s Dark Escape Boy, was I terrible at this. I finally found the exit, but I think I'll keep my score to myself... :P Cool concept, navigating a maze in the dark was hard enough, but the overlay really added another dimension of difficulty to it.
May 11 18:49:00 1h 20m Five little Submarines Cute characters! It's pretty good for a one-day effort (grats on your first entry, btw!) It was really hard finding the kids, though - the place was enormous and easy to get lost in. I managed to return three before I died, and even that was pretty time-consuming. Nonetheless, good job!
May 11 18:55:00 6m 00s Ninja VS Worms Worked out a system where I stayed in the left corner and spammed to top right and managed to get 621 kills before biting the dust. An intense but fun little game that did a number on my wrist. The sacrifices we have to make to destroy those nasty worms... Anyway, good job!
May 18 09:51:00 158h 56m Scratch Ticket Fate Funny and clever idea. I love the "YAAY" and happy music when you "win" your fate, and some of the fates themselves were pretty funny.
May 18 09:58:00 7m 00s Hughes Pretty sure Maes Hughes didn't work for a tablet company. Then again maybe he should've...

A short but humorous entry, and out of the platformers I've played this LD this was one of the ones that felt the easiest to control, with very minor collision problems. Pretty good for your first attempt at the genre!
May 18 10:06:00 8m 00s Infector Detector This is a really cool concept, really difficult and stressful with that many people to look over, given that the moment someone drops you've got so many suspects. I managed to get the sucker with 250 people left... where I killed between ten and twenty myself trying to find the guy. I got lucky though - the infector pretty much left a trail of corpses bordering off a section of the map so I figured he was inside of there.

Overall, a really good job and something I'd never have imagined for the theme!
May 18 13:19:00 3h 13m Full Immersion A pretty simple avoidance game, though it seemed a bit bugged to me. My first try worked fine, and I got to around 300m. When I restarted, the counter said that I was at around 3000m before flipping back to zero, and then the game blasted me with a full screen of mines that made it impossible to survive. Subsequent retries were the same until I refreshed the page. As such I can't comment much on the gameplay, but the graphics are really well done.
May 18 13:22:00 3m 00s Beneath The Surface This seems like a cool idea (and a funny take on the theme) but I'm afraid I couldn't get it to work on my Mac. Both Chrome and Safari just show an empty blue screen with some music playing.
May 18 13:46:00 24m 00s The Oubliette Within Interesting and thoughtful, made me think. I liked the pixellated look, and the controls were smooth and responsive without any obvious collision issues, which has been a problem with many LD platformers. Good job!
May 18 13:58:00 12m 00s Beneath the Rain Nice mood with good graphics and audio. I rarely went to work, preferring to go gallivanting about and looking at stuff. :)
May 18 14:12:00 14m 00s Something Beneath the Surface (Sea's will) Beautiful graphics and wonderful sound! The controls were a bit frustrating, though, and the purpose of the game was a bit unclear. Overall, still one of the most visually appealing games I've played this LD!
May 18 14:20:00 8m 00s Beneath the Surface With headphones on the sound did help create an atmosphere, but it wasn't clear what the purpose of the game was or its connection to the theme. I did manage to fall through the ground at one point and ended up in a ditch beneath a part of the level, so I guess there's that.
May 18 14:41:00 21m 00s QP : Fix the leak! Interesting theme, and really tricky game - the swinging mechanic was perfect for it. I did manage to finish eventually. The music was good and made you feel pressured - though my headphones almost exploded by a weird sound right as the game finished loading so I'll dock you an audio star for my poor ears' sakes. All in all it's a good, short and fun game - well done!
May 18 15:05:00 24m 00s Mars Interesting choice, and I bet you learnt lots doing this. There didn't really seem to be any goals in the game, so I decided to build and upgrade mines until I raked in so much cash that I could continue building without stopping. And by that point, boy was I rolling in it! As you said, it's not much "game" in it, but I had fun for a short while. :)
May 18 15:23:00 18m 00s From under the snow Nice Atari-esque graphics and an old-school adventure RPG feel that I really like. I goofed a bit and thought that the locked door was some kind of indestructible boulder, so I drilled past it instead rather than using the key in my inventory. Yay, alternative solutions! :)
May 18 15:35:00 12m 00s Eisenberg A fun game, though the music didn't really put me in a "survival game" mood ;)
May 18 15:42:00 7m 00s Germaniac I played it on OSX, and it worked beautifully. A really weird game, made even more awesome by the supremely weird music. I'm afraid that poor mr. Fancypants didn't quite make it with me at the controls, but I believe he is in a better place now. u_u
May 18 16:30:00 48m 00s Artifact Hunter It's a cool game, and I managed to scrape by for ten years pretty well. Unfortunately, after that my sites stopped turning up finds, and for some reason it was impossible for me to start new ones, even after abandoning the two I had. I'm guessing this is a bug. It's a shame too - Dr. Doombringer Ph.D had such lofty dreams.
May 18 16:39:00 9m 00s Ludumsub Really well-done and polished, especially visually - the particle effects in particular impressed me. A short but fun, sometimes tricky game with nice moody music. Well done!
May 18 16:46:00 7m 00s Turn-A Totally BS!: Turn Up a Dig Site Not much gameplay other than "click, repeat until win" but it did have charming music and visuals. I am left wondering where they got the digger though, and if any of the girls are licensed to operate one...
May 18 17:17:00 31m 00s Eiradirian Wormfare It's a really cool game, but I was seriously put off by the overly long intro cutscene, the text messages popping up over the middle of the screen and the constant chat between the characters that I didn't have time to read because I was trying to play. Graphics-wise it was really, really good, and gameplay was interesting if a bit difficult. A really good effort that's a bit rough around the edges, and impressive for an LD game.
May 18 17:28:00 11m 00s Diggleton Jr Fun, difficult and polished - the only thing really missing is sound. The graphics are pretty amazing for a 48 hour deal, too - good job!
May 18 17:40:00 12m 00s Mount! The cubes got almost impossible to avoid when the terrain got too level, but other than that it's a cool little avoidance game. I did notice later on that you could just blast off the right side of the screen, past the block spawner and stay safe for as long as you wanted... but that's not really all that fun!
