Simple but effective idea. Would be cool if there were more things added with each level besides more worms :)
I liked the idea with the boot (although it's very gruesome :P)
The game seems to suffer from a memory leak or something in Firefox, as it slows down beyond playability after a while.
In Chrome it works fine though.

Thanks for your feedback and I agree with you, Gins. I had some more ideas but due to real life appointments they didn't make it into the game.
The Firefox issue was also reported to me by a friend. Strange.

marcus_siactro 2014-04-29 19:34

I enjoyed it. It is a solid little game, great work.

diningphilosopher 2014-04-30 10:31

Brrr, the boot gave me quite a shock xD Is there any way to know when it will hit you? Otherwise the game is a little easy: the rats don't move very intelligently, I had to purposefully draw out the game to see the water hose (nice animation btw ;) ) and getting air is no problem either.
Still nice work in 48 hours for your first-time submission - I barely managed to finish in 72 and had to do some bugfixes even after that.

mental-atrophy 2014-04-30 15:18

I had the same performance issue in Firefox, with the game steadily becoming more unplayable the longer the game was running.

thaaks 2014-04-30 20:07

@Dining Philosopher: The behavior of the boot is pretty simple: if your mole stays on an "air hole" for more than a second the boot comes down. And second rule: if you reuse an "air hole" you will be stomped immediately. The rats are dumb, I know. But it was already 4 pm on Sunday and I didn't have enough time left to make them smarter. I am thinking about adding some AI / A* path finding later on.

I like the game. It is simple but very enjoyable. Good job.

conormn 2014-05-01 13:17

Really well done! This has all sorts of potential. Keep at it!

plasterphantom 2014-05-01 14:17

It was quite fun to play, didn't get the concept of getting air at first. Looking back at it I was quite dumb not thinking about that haha. I like the mechanics, graphics are a bit too square imo, but that fits the game I guess haha.

muciojadpl 2014-05-01 16:15

Yeah, game about moles, like my! :]
Simple idea but I have a good fun with it, and than... I was trodden xD Good work.

frogcheese 2014-05-04 14:41

Pretty fun little game. The boot made me smile the first time it came down. :) It's a pity the rats don't have any pathfinding, because this game would really benefit from having them start following you. I never had any difficulty avoiding them. What if they spawned nearby any of the remaining worms and could dig their own tunnels, so you had to get close to them?

czery 2014-05-04 14:42

Very fun!
The only thing I would have liked would be some alert that signals me that I'm about to run out of O2. :)

blazingfanfish 2014-05-04 14:57

A bit laggy in firefox. Maybe adding some enemy that'll attack or harm you or your worms will add more fun to the game. :)

anglerteamgames 2014-05-04 14:57

Nice and straightforward integration of theme into the gameplay -- made it easy to instantly pick up and play. Had fun for a few levels but ran into some slowdown on Chrome, unfortunately.

joe40001 2014-05-05 10:31

Got to level 17

soupwithbits 2014-05-06 08:49

Simple, charming yet fun game!

alexfili 2014-05-10 18:11

Very fun game. I really enjoyed the concept and it was quite thrilling as it gradually got harder. Needs music and more variety later on but is very good. Brilliant job!

thaaks 2014-05-11 16:14

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm planning on a post LD version with better graphics, more hazards, intelligent rats(!) and some background music! I'm also considering an Android version of the game. And once more thanks for playing and rating!

bvssvni 2014-05-12 20:12

Nice! It lagged somewhat in Firefox.
