| Aug 25 21:21:00 | SuperSleepTime | Crashes before any windows show up, OSX 10.8.4 :( | |
| Aug 26 20:36:00 | 23h 15m | Army of Botz | Hah, definitely a game for programmers! |
| Aug 26 20:41:00 | 5m 00s | Almost Fluid Plantain | I can't believe I found the secret boss fight! Amazing! |
| Aug 26 20:46:00 | 5m 00s | Tehurn | Cool concept, something like this would actually be pretty fun as a fleshed out game. The graphics reminded me of the old Castle of the Winds games a little bit. |
| Aug 26 20:49:00 | 3m 00s | Specky | Using the entire keyboard was funny, it added a bit of challenge to the game with slight awkwardness. |
| Aug 26 20:55:00 | 6m 00s | Platform Sprinter | There's just something about elevator music and playing as a cat having a seizure.. |
| Aug 26 21:04:00 | 9m 00s | Firespam | Tried it on Windows 7, this is the error I received: "Data folder not found. There should be 'Firespam_Data' folder next to the executable" |
| Aug 26 21:07:00 | 3m 00s | 10 Seconds Before the World Ends | Great concept! Love the style too. |
| Aug 27 01:13:00 | 4h 06m | OKAI | Really cool! Nice balance between collecting fruit during the day and dodging enemies at night. The music really adds to the atmosphere as well. The circular environment and parallax scrolling are very artistic as well. <br/> <br/>BTW, I'd love to hear what you guys think about my game! We were on very similar wavelengths on how we interpreted the theme! |
| Aug 27 01:26:00 | 13m 00s | Tower Infinity | I'll have to admit, I really wanted to get into it but the controls were a bit confusing. If there was an easier way to pick commands, it would be a lot of fun. Otherwise the concept (mouse-free rts), graphics and music are pretty cool. |
| Aug 27 01:34:00 | 8m 00s | 10 seconds Are An Eternity | Cool concept! I liked this game. The way you transition from the world map to the plants is really smooth, and the tie-in to relativity helps. Also the circular levels and gyrating buildings really tripped me out, haha. You mentioned having bigger plans, totally feel you there man. My entry's concept was a mix between a farming sim and a item collection / enemy dodging game. Saturday rolled around and I realized I bit way more off than I could chew, so did the best with what I had. I'd love to see your game expanded! |
| Aug 27 01:54:00 | 20m 00s | Pleading Rain | Very interesting experience. First off, the aesthetic here is really unique. It's like playing a scene in a painting. Also, clever html and css work there ;) Playing experience-wise, it took me a handful of rounds before realizing that clicking around the images unlocked more responses. But at that point, I had empathized with the poor guy so much that I couldn't put him through another inevitable death.. |
| Aug 27 02:10:00 | 16m 00s | 10 Second Dash | Dig it, it's a lot like a classic sports games - 80's classic. That title screen music surprised me, it was awesome. Do either of you have a soundcloud? |
| Aug 27 02:31:00 | 21m 00s | Scraith | Excellent use of the theme, suspenseful and nice use of 2d and 3d. Enjoyed it. |
| Aug 27 17:01:00 | 14h 30m | Solitude | Nice lighting work and music. The approach to the theme is cool too, definitely getting a high score in mood from me. |
| Aug 27 17:12:00 | 11m 00s | Lean Mikey's Mega Muscles with Lean Mikey | This was awesome! Really fun gameplay and definitely the most humorous entry that I've played so far. I laughed pretty hard at what happened when you made a mistake in muscles, jogging, and eating. |
| Aug 27 17:27:00 | 15m 00s | Watching Them Go | Cool man, really nice aesthetic. The weightiness of everything added to it as well. It was certainly challenging, I didn't make it too far haha. <br/> <br/>One little thing, you should probably find a better file sharing host. Sites like 2Shared that have trick download buttons are dubious and can lead uninformed people to downloading spyware and whatnot. Have you tried dropbox? |
| Aug 28 03:36:00 | 10h 09m | ShuffleLand | Definitely challenging, but fun. The sound effects and music were top notch, reminded me a bit of Everyday Shooter in a weird way. |
| Aug 28 04:16:00 | 40m 00s | Infected Hexes | This game really grew on me. The scaling of the challenge is really well done, and the cell-like mechanic was really neat. It forces you to start strategizing once you get up to higher levels. The only thing I would change is the control scheme. The mouse clicking became fatiguing after a while. Perhaps click and hold would work better, where holding the mouse over a cell causes a charging effect and then it's populated. |
| Aug 28 04:42:00 | 26m 00s | AEREO | Really nice use of mixed media. Good potential for a mobile game. |
| Aug 28 04:47:00 | 5m 00s | Dysdoughpia | Once I got a hang of the controls, it was pretty fun. I can see this being expanded upon quite easily. |
| Aug 28 16:34:00 | 11h 47m | Bug Buster | It's a fun shooter with the slow down abilities, and it makes for interesting replays as well. I think the slow down ability should have been limited in some way though, besides subtracting from the score, as nothing really made me feel compelled to not just use it all of the time. |
| Aug 28 16:55:00 | 21m 00s | Proletarian Ninja X | Really fun and frantic, great take on the theme. Visual style is fantastic with vivid colors and textures, as usual with your stuff :P The only critique I have is that the little icon highlighting your target position is lost after the first level. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it would have been helpful for a game that required such precision. |
| Aug 28 17:02:00 | 7m 00s | 10 Sec And Slash | That was fun! Loved the dark humor of having to sacrifice some patients to get to the antidote, lol. All around, a solid entry. |
| Aug 28 17:28:00 | 26m 00s | Alcheminion | The positive and negative powerups are cool, all around a fun collection game, but it doesn't seem like you did anything relating to the theme. |
| Aug 29 16:30:00 | 23h 02m | DemoPhobia | Very clever how you took a flaw that some games have (difficulty in locating the player), and turned it into a game. |
| Aug 29 16:40:00 | 10m 00s | The Unbelievable Adventures of Kamil the Cat | This is really entertaining. Cute visuals and nice humor. And your sound effects were funny too. |
| Aug 29 17:06:00 | 26m 00s | Mr Moore's Last Seconds | Very nice and artistic. |
| Aug 29 17:15:00 | 9m 00s | Jack is gonna Die! | I'm glad you didn't include a timer, having to track the 10 seconds yourself is a good take on the theme. Makes it challenging. |
| Aug 29 17:23:00 | 8m 00s | The Day Magic Died | The camera perspective and blending of 2d and 3d was strangely enjoyable. Nicely laid out levels too, some of them required precision. |
| Aug 29 17:30:00 | 7m 00s | Holiday in Russia | That was pretty crazy, nice job on the escalation throughout the game. |
| Aug 30 02:39:00 | 9h 09m | 10 Seconds To Click | Really simple yet fun! The redness of the circles nearing 0 was a nice touch, to add urgency and serve as a visual cue. |
| Aug 30 03:12:00 | 33m 00s | Rainy Rainbow | Very nice, I like the way you used the them. It's challenging too. |
| Aug 30 03:26:00 | 14m 00s | The only one | Really nice, I'm impressed that this was a 48 hour entry. The graphics and music create a unique atmosphere. I really felt for the little guy, being teleported back to Mary's grave every 10 seconds. |
| Sep 2 17:58:00 | 86h 32m | FSCK - A Hard Drive Story | Solid game. The seek and shift modes were a really nice touch, gave it a very energetic feel. |
| Sep 2 18:16:00 | 18m 00s | SoulReaver | Good stuff, definitely had a nice Gauntlet feel to it. It would have been nice if you restarted a level instead of the entire game after dying or running out of time. |
| Sep 2 18:42:00 | 26m 00s | MegaPunch | WOW! This is an extremely impressive jam entry. Before I managed to find a friend to log on with me, I was having fun just jumping around, getting used to the mechanics, and listening to the music. I'd love to play this with all 16 slots filled. The graphics and music are very well done, definitely a cohesive atmosphere. If you guys took this after the competition and added bots, more powerups, and perhaps more levels, this is a game I could definitely see myself logging on to every now and then to kill some time. |
| Sep 3 17:19:00 | 22h 37m | Red alert | Having the walls constantly shift around was a cool mechanic. It made the game more frantic as you run around shooting zombies and collection coins. The music did start to get pretty repetitive after a short amount of time. |
| Sep 3 17:27:00 | 8m 00s | Many More of Them Live Next Door | Fun little exploration game. The dual mode concept is pretty cool, I could see it being expanded on quite a bit. It was also clever how you used a graph paper background to give it a prototype kind of feel. |
| Sep 3 17:41:00 | 14m 00s | Run | Great job, totally has that dark nightmarish feel like in "All Quiet on the Western Front". You guys successfully made a game in 72 hours that has more impact and meaning than every modern dudebro shooterfield war game put together. Well done. Also nice spin on the theme. |
| Sep 4 17:04:00 | 23h 23m | I'll Give You A Head Start | Interesting approach to a flashlight effect. |
| Sep 4 17:13:00 | 9m 00s | 00000010 | There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary, and those who don't. Clever play on the theme, high score for that. Good humor too. It was a fun little platformer, though the countdown seemed superficial until I reached the later levels. The noise for the switching became very annoying though. |
| Sep 4 17:31:00 | 18m 00s | Caves of Caladria | This is really cool and I like where you were going with this, but the camera made it very difficult to play since there was a long delay when falling long distances. The graphics and music are very nice. |
| Sep 5 01:30:00 | 7h 59m | xhon | This is an all around well-rounded entry. The aesthetics are nicely done. The mechanics are interesting and they evolve at a good pace throughout the game. It almost seems like you had some ideas for the "death is useful" theme and just couldn't resist getting them out, am I right? Good stuff, high marks all around. |
| Sep 5 01:52:00 | 22m 00s | My Tenth Adventure | Blown away by this one, definitely the most artistic entry I've come across so far. It's simple but very effective. Definitely has a great nod to Fez and Sword and Sworcery. The music really shines in this one, it's superbly matched to the aesthetic of the space and forest scenes. The puzzles are a bit simple but that's ok, everything just fits together in a way I can't quite explain. |
| Sep 5 02:11:00 | 19m 00s | Dark Interval | Great job, especially on the visual effects to really create a sense of urgency. It definitely had me freaking out in certain rooms. Some of the best monster movies are not about how scary the monster is itself, but the fear that the monster creates tangentially through it's presence. This game recreates that quite well. |
| Sep 10 22:35:00 | 140h 24m | Stay Alive | Overall this was fun to play. You kept it interesting by introducing a new task each day, but maintaining a couple of maintenance tasks to manage on top of that. I can see this being expanded into a neat survival type game. The only thing that took away from it a bit was this strange graphical glitch where various layers of the world seemed to jitter as they updated when you moved your character, even the food and water bars. |
| Sep 10 22:55:00 | 20m 00s | Clockwork Cat | Excellent work. Adorable graphics. Interesting blend of soothing atmosphere (especially the piano music!) and frantic platforming. The 10 second theme is very well integrated too, with the clock being both an element of time left and also affecting the platforms themselves. |
| Sep 11 01:17:00 | 2h 22m | Time Surge | Solid entry. I enjoyed the point and click puzzles. The narratives text is very interesting but the closeness of the lines makes it difficult to read. |
| Sep 11 01:35:00 | 18m 00s | Ten-2nd Scientist | Fun mini game collection. Also one of the most humorous entries I've reviewed so far. |
| Sep 11 01:55:00 | 20m 00s | Timed Ninjas | Simple yet fun and effective. |
| Sep 13 00:27:00 | 46h 32m | Composition by the 10th Second | Really interesting approach to the theme. I liked how there was a little comedy in the out of order melodies. |
| Sep 13 00:33:00 | 6m 00s | 10 Seconds Jump | Crashes on OSX 10.8.4 |
| Sep 13 00:48:00 | 15m 00s | Ten Seconds | Hahaha awesome, it's very simple but very effective use of the theme and cleverly challenging. |
| Sep 13 00:52:00 | 4m 00s | Hurry UP! | Very nice graphics overall, and the animation on the girl was impressive. The platforming become a little bland after a minute or two, but the visual style and audio kept me interested. Good luck on the full version! |
| Sep 13 01:08:00 | 16m 00s | A Living Shell | Excellent mood, the voice work really adds to the overall creepiness. |
