| Aug 26 22:06:00 | Yellow Dog | Fun! The poop animation was hilarious! My remarks would be to only allow one food/water/treat on screen at a time. Also, there was a small glitch where he drank phantom water. <br/> <br/>Overall fun game, pretty good connection to theme; nice animations. | |
| Aug 27 01:51:00 | 3h 45m | Badass | Nice! Great theme, creative relation to evolution, and fun gameplay. Also nice graphics and scrolling textures. Good stuff all around! |
| Aug 27 18:48:00 | 16h 57m | Ikaruga Devolved | It was kind of fun. However, it was really easy once I learned that shielding made you invincible to bullets of that color. You should make the shield temporary use. I thought the dodging was great! That was a lot of fun; it just kind of didn't matter because the shield was OP. Cool concept though. Develop it more! |
| Aug 27 19:04:00 | 16m 00s | Dr. Helix | I had a lot of fun with this! Good relation to the theme, good ol' fahsioned (but with a TWIST!) bullet-hell fun. I thought the automatic sound was too high-pitched; it sounded a little screechy, but everything else was cool. Good mechanics, smooth teleporting, awesomeness! |
| Aug 27 19:11:00 | 7m 00s | RedArmy | Does this only work on 64-bit systems? Windows gave me a compatibility error that said check to see if the application is x86 or 64. |
| Aug 27 19:26:00 | 15m 00s | Fantasy Map Tactics | It was fun! I also had some performance issues, but no big deal; it's only js after all. As for improvement ideas I would say: The music is good! Use it more; the game needed more sound in it. Also, I would make the AI more aggressive because it seemed like they moved somewhat randomly. <br/> <br/>I'm also impressed you did this in 48h; great job! It's a heck of a great base to make an awesome, really different online game out of. I would definitely keep working on it (and if I knew JS, I'd probably offer to help, but alas, I don't know much past the basics). |
| Aug 27 19:27:00 | 1m 00s | Shit! It's evolving | I want to play it, but the dropbox links aren't working for me. Anywhere else you've got it uploaded? |
| Aug 27 19:47:00 | 20m 00s | Sorry, i was late! | Well done! The mouse traps were an awesome idea! Good meta-story, unique interpretation of the theme, and a fun, game overall: it makes you think :O Keep up the good work! |
| Aug 27 19:55:00 | 8m 00s | Simplex Evolution Tabulae Ludus | Pretty cool. It was a fun game, and bonus points for making a board game! My recommendation would be to add a win condition if there are no moves remaining. Currently, the AI just pauses when it can't make a move, and you're forced to restart. |
| Aug 27 20:23:00 | 28m 00s | Octogeddon | Extremely fun!!! Great audio, great graphics, cool gameplay. As far as improvements, I would add a multiplier that gave you more DNA the more enemies you killed in a row (with at least one leg destroying an enemy), and an instant DNA boost for killing 2 or more simultaneously. I always got a bit of a rush when I chained kills together, but it would be a lot rushier if DNA were awarded. Also this would speed up the progression, and I think the evolution is a little slow. All in all, though, amazing game! You sure you did this in 48 hours? |
| Aug 27 20:35:00 | 12m 00s | !wrms | It was cool. The "bang" sound was really sharp though. I had to turn my sound down. Definitely funny concept though. |
| Aug 27 21:50:00 | 1h 15m | Evo Smash | When I tried to run it after installing XNA, I get this nastiness: <br/> <br/>Problem signature: <br/> Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 <br/> Problem Signature 01: evosmash.exe <br/> Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0 <br/> Problem Signature 03: 503bb01f <br/> Problem Signature 04: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Game <br/> Problem Signature 05: 4.0.0.0 <br/> Problem Signature 06: 4e6012e7 <br/> Problem Signature 07: 129 <br/> Problem Signature 08: 60 <br/> Problem Signature 09: AQRZ5UNGVPAAKLRWFFK35BWUV213BMTN <br/> OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48 <br/> Locale ID: 1033 <br/> Additional Information 1: 0a9e <br/> Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 <br/> Additional Information 3: 0a9e <br/> Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 <br/> <br/>Not sure, what to do about that one. Nothing comes up when I run it in command line either. I'll try running it on Wine next. |
| Aug 27 22:04:00 | 14m 00s | Coin-Operated Afternoon | Pretty entertaining, sometimes steamy, and funny. Not much to do with evolution, but good stop-motion nonetheless! Also, bonus points for making use of Zombies!!! figurines. |
| Aug 28 03:25:00 | 5h 21m | Adventures of Charles | I had fun. Very simple game, but great concept for future work! |
| Aug 30 23:56:00 | 68h 31m | Winding of Isaac | I like the idea, and the music was really good. The controls, however, were unreliable for me, and before long I would be off the map, even at slow speeds. I think you just need to readjust the map size and make the controls more responsive, and you've got a fun, cool, little game. |
| Aug 31 00:25:00 | 29m 00s | Obsolete Upgrade | Fun overall. Good concept! |
| Aug 31 00:40:00 | 15m 00s | Just a Theory | Pretty good stuff. I was able to play fine, and I thought the premise was really unique, although not 100% relevant to the theme. It seemed to fit the theme of "censorship" better, but it was refreshing to play a game about a real issue. Good work! |
| Aug 31 01:11:00 | 31m 00s | 1000 Evolving Kittens | Hilarious, chaotic, and absolutely inscrutable. +1 p_o |
| Aug 31 01:14:00 | 3m 00s | Project V | It was pretty cool. I think sounds would be helpful for feedback when you get hit, and I think your health should definitely reset when you get larger or else you die pretty quickly. Good start though! |
| Aug 31 01:20:00 | 6m 00s | Tadpocalypse | Fun game! I thoroughly enjoyed the music and the gameplay. I wish the default speed were a little higher, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. It took me a while to realize the window title was the HUD, but it was an awesome idea. Very clever! |
| Aug 31 21:34:00 | 20h 14m | Promotion Chess (multiplayer) | Superb audio (easily some of the best)! I just wish the game were explained better in-game (and while I like complexity; it should probably be introduced incrementally with a few sample tutorial rounds). I hope you're able to improve on the concept and make a more user friendly version; I'd like to give it a shot! |
| Aug 31 21:41:00 | 7m 00s | The bloody princess of Ludumia | I had a lot of fun! The sounds were hilarious, and the gameplay was cool and different. Good job! |
| Aug 31 21:51:00 | 10m 00s | Guardian of the Evolution | I liked it; it was challenging, but doable; I do wish the color change mechanic were slightly different, like maybe you use arrow keys to select which strand to change or something. Not sure. Good work though! |
| Aug 31 22:25:00 | 34m 00s | Uberlution | Absolutely excellent! When I played this I thought for sure it was a jam entry because of the graphics and audio quality. It reminded me so much of Spore cell stage running around and eating yummy smaller things and eventually getting large enough to eat things that could destroy you early on. Very fun! |
