I don't think the minimalism is too big of a problem here, but honestly there isn't all that much strategy that goes into the game. At the moment, it's only really important to place your walls anywhere, but there could be some mechanics for making it more meaningful where you actually place them.
I can't give you a rating since the car kept jiggling off screen so I didn't actually play a lot of the game. I do wanna say that this game has a fantastic atmosphere which is why I'll definitely get back to it if you ever properly finish it.
@joror I started, grabbed the phone with my right hand, turned the light on, used the door, locked the car, clicked on the bottom right map icon (the place where the boxes are) and drove there. The car began jiggling slightly, which I assume is intentional, but when I arrived at the place the car started rotating like crazy and flew off screen. I have encountered this bug every time I played and while the car did sometimes return, I also lost all my boxes this way.
What should I say, the music is just the perfect choice for this. The graphics feel kinda mixed together but I guess they're fine, nothing to write home about though. But the game is fun, after you get used to the controls. I beat it on easy and tried for a while on medium, though I mostly concluded that ten seemed an insufficient amount of fingers for this game. But I enjoyed myself and I guess it leaves me room to grow. Good job!
Just so polished and actually really fun! I also really like the design of the monsters, characters and even the trees! Well done!
This is in every way the best game I've seen from the entire jam. I love it!
My first reaction when starting the game was that I said "Oh my god." out loud. The graphics are really well done. I also like the music. It won't surprise you when I tell you that the game play didn't exactly do it for me, but I don't think that's really what it's about. The game captures a mood, and it does so well, as I see myself frantically dashing into all available boxes and walls while the alarm is beeping.
I guess there isn't really much to be said here. Great humor, kinda repetitive task. I do want to point out that I really enjoyed the music.
It's chrome dinosaur but so much more charming. The music made me giggle.
Me gusta la atmósfera y el writing. Es melancólico, pero tambien creo que el hombre no está triste y eso lo hace interessante. Lo que no me gusta tanto son los gráficos, porque aunque son bonitas, no son consistentes en el estilo y en el tamaño de los pixels. Tambien creo que las mechanicas de extender su vida no son tan interessantes, aqui me gustarían unos minigames o algo así. Pero sí me gusta el juego, bien hecho!
The graphics are consistent and I like the game's general mood. It should be noted that the game isn't exactly "fun", partially because it does seem mostly luck-dependent how long you get to live. I don't think that the game needs to be fun though; instead it conveys a situation. The game play being kinda dire and luck dependent, as well as the controls, certainly by design, being...horribly imprecise, all adds to the mood, anything else is can be discarded. The game is on the point and I like that.
