Solid technical execution, although not much difficulty since you regenerate too fast. It would help to lower the rate of regeneration for the shoot=life concept to really shine through.
A fine game, would consider the introductions of mechanics a bit more to the player as the first level with the bouncy platforms were a bit hard to understand. I simply guessed I needed to jump from the top due to experience, so always consider introducing a mechanic easily and try to show the player where the goal is to not make them confused, otherwise nice job making so many levels!
Love the idea of giving up your body parts, certainly an unexpected twist. Great that the art updates too.
The game is nice but after drawing the same card, meeting the brigande, for 6 or more turns it got a bit boring, also it confuses me why I get wounded if I draw a 5 attack card, am I drawing for my enemy? When I drew a one I got his purse which felt weird. Otherwise it sets a very nice mood and could be a lot of fun with more balancing.
Thank you everyone so far! To answer @caranha and the rest, there are definitely supposed to be more events that happen in your teens and later in life, as well as different starting situations … but then the Ludum Dare deadline happened and that's all I could get done. :) So things beyond the start are unbalanced and there's nothing to do past 30 or 40 years. I'll improve it after the voting is finished. Thanks again for lovely reviews!
Really nice concept, although it becomes trivial once you figure out you can spam turbines in a row. If the wind lost energy as it flies through the turbines it would help make it more strategic. Good job overall!
Didn't like the sound effect, but the gameplay was pretty good when you understood how it worked. Felt a bit weird that the years ended before the timer was up sometimes though, otherwise good job!
