LD44 — Your life is currency

Greenback by Finn Truman 2019-04-30T22:32:06Z

Even though this game was amazing considering the time you had, I'll give you some honest feedback. Keep in mind that some stuff is just my opinion and I'm quite critical.

Controls were great and core gameplay aswell, I really enjoyed the shooting mechanic. Enemies were quite dull and I ignored the ones I could, I would have liked the parts before bosses to be more focused on jumping and dashing. The dialogue scenes didn't look as good as the rest of the game. In my honest opinion, I would have enjoyed the game more without dialogue. The first two bosses were really great. It took awhile for me to finish the last boss though, so long that the gameplay went from fun to quite frustrating. Maybe you could have added a checkpoint after the first part of the last boss or maybe you wanted it to be hard, I just don't like hard games. The sound was quite funny at times and I liked the music for the second boss, otherwise the sound and music could have used some polish. Sad to see that some parts were without music, like the tutorial, it could have used some music. But considering the workload you had, I understand that you didn't really have time for that.

Overall it's quite a good game, with some polish I'd play it again!

Nice game and quite polished, I liked the idea. Not sure about the loop though, I got lost and didn't know how to progress. I’d also like the knockback effect and then you can make the game harder in another way.

Ollo's Life by Memel06 2019-05-01T19:45:55Z

Cool concept, but I never owned any nintendo products so I can't really feel the nostalgia. I couldn't even get past the first puzzle even though I got that it should be RGB, maybe it was a bug idk. I just think the format restricted the gameplay from being fun. Maybe if the stones would have actually glowed the color instead of a slow interaction telling you the color. If you're going to have a puzzle about color maybe add color? Or is it supposed to be ironic? To me it just feels stupid, maybe I'm too young to see the beauty of this game. Sorry for being honest.

Oh, I've just played a Gameboy once a long time ago and that was an Advance, so it had color. I would have enjoyed it more with color. Modern technology has ruined my imagination, quite sad.

Clock of Your Life by JestemStefan 2019-05-01T20:18:56Z

This game is really sad and the music really sets the mood. It really isn't that fun, but it makes you think. I liked the balancing mechanic, although as Hunter X said "it was a little confusing at times trying to keep track of which bars needed to be maximised and which needed to be minimised".

Precious is Life by -banzi 2019-05-01T19:12:53Z

Good game, mood was a bit ruined with the lack of sound. The art was really nice. Gameplay was okay, although some things were a bit unclear. Would have been nice with a turn order and tutorial/tooltips. Defend option was terrible, I don't even know if it even worked.

Cult Master by xSupah 2019-05-02T09:01:34Z

Nice little game, most feedback has already been said but I'll say a few again. It was a sometimes tough to click on cultists(maybe it's intended?) and it feels a bit repetitive after awhile. One little thing that hasn't been said yet is that it would be nice if the cultists walked in front of the houses and not behind.

Goblin Launcher by FelipeDermann 2019-05-01T20:03:18Z

Fun for about two minutes, then it's all the same. I wish that I could have walked and jumped with the goblins in my hand. Good first entry, I liked the music!
