So @philipprapp95 you were very kind with your critiques. This indeed was almost entirely self-made. 100% of the models and music were made in-house, by me. 100% of the code was done by @youngblade and @mknooihuisen. The soundFX, I can't be certain, but I believe all of them were made by @youngblade & @mknooihuisen in-house.
First ever music comp, first ever sound FX, first ever jam for me personally, etc. We wanted each level to be challenging but fun. We all wished to have more done in such a short time, but I think even if we checked every single thing off the list we would still want to get more done.
We plan on implementing "incentives" to complete the maze which we are working on currently. Hopefully we can make those long walks less frustrating for you. Thanks so much for your feedback! <3
@thecreator thanks you for your feedback! We are doing some post-jam refinements to enhance certain aspects of the game we thought were missing that certain something. Of course we could spend our entire lives working on it, but we're going to do our best to make this as finished as possible.
Thank you all for rating and critiquing our game <3
LOVE this game. VERY nostalgic for the Sega Game Gear and Nintendo era. Very cool game.
Was unable to load in Chrome. I did manage to load in Edge (of all things). Could not progress beyond the first scene where you pick up the plank.
I LOVE the concept. Unfortunately the first few times you hear a sound, it startles you. There's no music so I was sitting there turning my headset up while playing hoping to hear something then BOOM I died and my ears exploded.
The concept is interesting, there was a bug where the little chicklet looking waypoints you have to collect spawned so closely that I collected 2 in the same instant when I should only have got 1.
It's an interesting idea, very simple, minimalistic, but it needs some additional features, some polish, and a visible goal.
Very interesting game, but entirely unforgiving. Love the minimalist concept.
Yeah I would like to see this game with more skill scaling. I would play it for hours if I had any hope of progression.
CHALLENGING, but fun. Unfortunately the difficulty scaled so fast you bottom out after about 10 minutes. :(
On the upside, the music was interesting, and art style was nice.
Would love to see a version of this game with more moving objects, more interactive obstacles etc.
You're right @raptor851 AFAIK no sounds made it into the game. We got foley and music done, but it did not make it into the submission due to Git update delays and Unity version-specific bugs which delayed multiple aspects of our game.
Thank you for your feedback. We may release a post-jam version of the game with audio among other things.
@nicmagnier thank you for playing our game, and for your feedback. <3
@ildenh @xparker We ran out of time after dealing with Unity bugs and Git being slow. We didn't get any menu options done in time. We plan to get some post-jam things done, including adding those features. Thanks for taking the time to play and rate our game <3.
FUN....challenging but FUN
Hey @jcmonkey thanks so much for joining us all on stream and playing our game. We want to release extra (post-jam?) builds with some bugfixes, and adjustments to several things to make the overall experience better. We hope to get some fixes done within the jam timeframe. We definitely learned a lot about the development process we can use in future projects going forward. Thanks again! <3
