LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Tiny Boids by OccamsLaser 2024-10-08T10:46:04Z

A really interesting concept, the music gave it an eerie vibe that I really enjoyed.

I did struggle between the green and blue colours initially and I don't have any sight issues, so could be something to think about in future.

I liked how you had to make a choice as to which ships could be saved and how the control you had over them wasn't as strong later on, good job!

A fun little game as long as you have someone there to play with you, it'd be nice if there was some functionality for the computer to play as one or the other, luckily I had my wife play as the human.

It reminds me of some of the co-op games I played on the PC in the late 90's, and the art style was really nice!

Ratcatcher by HardyTryer 2024-10-08T10:53:54Z

Man this was so funny! My only crit is initially it wasn't obvious which rats I was controlling, then I realised I could just spawn more and more!

The absolute chaos that was ensued was great, even though the graphics aren't the best I actually think even if something like this went into full production it benefits from a super minimalistic art style like this.

Great job!

Gnomes? What are they?

I absolutely loved the clarinet and the fact it got faster, it was a bit of a bop!

The artwork's really nice as well for some reason it reminds me of some 2D games on the Nintendo DS in the mid 2000's and then some of the point and click adventure games I played as a kid in the 90's, really nice!

Good job!

A really nice art style, and I liked using the spatial audio to indicate where you needed to go.

Only crit is to have added the ability to quit out with the Esc key.

I also really enjoyed trying to get out of bounds with his old Larda, good job!

Great to see another physics based game like ours, this was really fun. The audio was really satisfying when you sucked them up too.

Nothing really irked me, just the player animations could be more polished for the direction they're facing but it's a jam game so no big deal.

Would happily play a full on game like this, like a cross between Ghostbusters and Luigi's Mansion!

Viral Nexus by Nimolas 2024-10-09T13:33:57Z

This was quite cool once I got the hang of it, reminds me of the hacking you have to do on the more recent Deus Ex games which is something I always enjoyed. Music was cool and definitely fit the art style, good job!

Reminds me of the old GTA games like GTA and GTA 2 when you're creating havok in the Ice Cream Truck. Nice little game, congrats!

The concept for the game is good, I did have some issues with the collision meshes allowing me to glitch under the playable area though. The audio when you fall to your death is great
