LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Cursed Hotel by mvasko2 2022-10-05T06:19:55Z

It's fairly simple and unchallenging, but I really liked the "curse" of the hotel. Good humor, good job on making some lore and on the spot with the theme!

Great art, suiting soundtrack, I really liked trying out this one. Only one thing that I didn't feel comfortable with was the timing, it was frustrating to read the event, read the options and track the stats all in the same time. My suggestion would be to show the event/situation and then give the choices. That would allow to pause a bit and keep track of what's happening with the stats.

The website download links are broken for some reason. However, you can use the google drive link (bit.ly) to get the lattest version.

Watch Out by 100th_Coin 2022-10-05T10:42:50Z

To be honest, this was one of the first entries that I felt like it was fun just to play it, actually forgot to take a look it in more "analytical" or "reviewish" sense for some time. The graphics are quirky, but that's kind of the addition to the game being fun. The game idea itself is quite interesting and I liked the take on the theme, however it doesn't seem to have any strong connection to it. Only thing I didn't like was the perspective, sometimes it's hard to see where you have to move, it was a bit annoying. Also, very cool VOs! I enjoyed playing this one.

Every ten seconds, the game skips... by davidsheadgames 2022-10-06T10:54:28Z

Very nice idea theme-wise, also loved the TV channel switching flow of the game! It's a bit short, but I fully understand that making multiple mechanics during a game jam is quite hard. Well done!

Treasure Tactics by Martta 2022-10-04T14:15:46Z

Cool application of the theme, about sticking 10s to turn limit works well. However, it could just have more turn based feeling, at first I didn't realize that when can I move and when can I shoot. Anyway, great implementation of the theme!

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-05T11:00:07Z

Didn't read the description at first, so I just stared at screen for couple of runs... Dummy... Anyway, nice take, at first I didn't quite understand why you have selected birds specifically, until I've started typing their names myself  That was quite hard.

Such a great entry! I like the idea of passing a level every 10 seconds, it gives the game some good dynamics. I really liked the artstyle and the general visual setup. You also did well with sound, it's simple, but sets up the mood well. It was quite hard for me to play, some areas are too tight to pass, some colliders doesn't seem to match the visuals. I also got stuck on places where you need to do multiple jumps (sometimes character just doesn't jump and stick to the wall). Also didn't get the part that you have to jump to skip the level at first (or do you?). Regardless of that and once - again it's a great entry, good job guys!

Emperor Penguin by OlivierYC 2022-10-05T11:05:48Z

Wow, great art style! It's really a fun game, however time pressure on this kind of game is quite annoying, I wasn't able to get familiar with the interface and other stuff and I already had to make a decision, so had to skip a some of them. In my opinion the texts should be shorter if you would want to have a comfortable experience.

In Season by Ha-kuro 2022-10-05T06:09:33Z

Cool, it reminded me of Stardew Valley a lot. Very smooth gameplay. I also liked some of the animations, at one point it even got me confused whether it's 3D with shader or pixel art 2D, just because of some nicely done movements. Not sure, maybe I've missed something, but it would have been very cool to have some automatization and upgrades.
