I really, really like this game! The relevance to the theme was a little unclear at first before I realized exactly what was happening with the rooms of the dungeon. Then I thought it was pretty clever.
I couldn't figure out the purpose of the 2 non-heart collectibles, though. Other than that, highly enjoyable! It got intense at the end as I knew I was about to die.
The controls are a little difficult, though. It's very hard to hit enemies with diagonal bullets, and it would be nice if I could move and aim simultaneously with different controls, such as WASD to move and arrow keys to shoot, such as in The Binding of Isaac.
SO COOL!
God that was actually fun! Please pursue this idea after the jam.
Honestly did not expect this game; suppose it's an act of murphy's law. Thanks for the honesty haha!
surprised you got this much done so quickly!
This game is so amazing, I have no words.
WELL DONE, SIR.
I really like it, but not sure how close to the theme it stays.
Really like the procedural generation, but having issues with crate mechanics :)
The mechanics are there and totally make the game worth playing, but it reallly needs some aesthetics
really love the mood!
Reminds me of an xbox live title called space hordes.
Really sick! Enjoyed the graphics, but a little hard.
Glad to see people actually employing time immersion (day night cycle is cool), did not expect the aliens!
really solid mechanics!
Really innovative actually! It just needs a bit of polish.
@ZnCatlaw, Monospace font and just coded it up using simple arrays and command parsing. @Wampus it was just an afterthought, but we thought that breaking the theme is breaking the game, so what better way to that than actually just breaking the screen!
@radmars We didn't make the music. I've opted out, thanks for the suggestion. I don't know how everyone else is using the opt out feature so I just assumed people were using it for categories they didn't address.
