LD46 — Keep it alive

Hydro-Carbon Rescue by Joror 2020-04-24T22:54:07Z

Loved the game and there were some fun physics based puzzles to solve. My main gripe was with adding modules to yourself made it harder and harder to move, well until I discovered a bug that let me make them overlap.

If you'd had time I would have loved to see what more kind of puzzles with the mechanics you could have come up with.

Flowers for Johnny by goffmog 2020-04-24T22:33:44Z

I made a lot of really pretty patterns without really understanding how I got them  but I've never really gotten into Game of Life, more than knowing what it is so the puzzles were really hard for me. Cool concept, would have loved more hints than the names, or a bit of more hand holding before level 3 because I just got stuck there.

You do get an high overall rating from be because it's a real neat concept but it wasn't the most fun since I couldn't crack the nut :P

Crystal Tag by uvwar 2020-05-10T23:07:11Z

Really cool and unique. Would have been nice though with some information being shown like: time until you break, time until you regrow and maybe time you've been able to keep things going? Or a score of some sort?

The music did get a bit repetitive quite fast I felt. Idea I had while playing, though maybe wouldn't fit within dev time for the compo, would have been to have some various chiming noises and play them whenever crystals hit into each other and as such make your own tune that way.

Forever Green by Gildar76 2020-05-10T22:44:08Z

Chill neat little game :)

I get it was probably design choice to have limited control over the tractor, but I wished though that I had somewhat a bit more direct control over the tractor, not nessecarily that I could drive it around directly myself. I just felt I couldn't deal with problems how I wanted to.

Welcome to Pre-Sushi by Bill Wheatley 2020-04-24T09:05:21Z

Impressive in performance, think it even made impossible level actually impossible for me  But I think you could have been more inventive, I know you did this to learn Monobehaviours but even so I think you could have added elements that make a game session last a bit longer than a few seconds, nurturing mechanics maybe? The sharks are not there from start they appear over time, cleaning the tank, etc. etc.

BLOOM ETERNAL by samboyer276 2020-05-10T22:55:18Z

Loved the twist of Doom into Bloom Eternal! Had quite some fun playing this. I do think controls could be a bit better, felt it was quite awkward to control. I kept misplacing my fingers. Also it felt quite harsh on how easy it was to die, not expecting it to be super balanced in a Ludum Dare game of course. But probably better to err on the "too easy" side of things.

Graphics, music, fun and mood felt very much on point, especially the little loading sequence :)

Zombie Survival by Croped 2020-04-24T08:06:32Z

Each level was a fun little puzzle to solve.

I think you could have made the movement of the zombie more interesting and in that way made more interesting mechanics/puzzles in later levels to deal with. Right now he just moved to the last point he saw you I think. But having obstacles you help him get past and stuff could have opened up more fun content for the player. I did really like the double trap where either he or I would kill each other unless I solved it correctly. It was very unclear though for me "what triggered" the trap and took a couple of tries until I saw the red dot.

MitosiVilization by Olivier Millochau 2020-04-24T08:28:10Z

I love the concept and the owo declawation of war. There was humor and some solid gameplay in there. Though I found the font a bit unreadable, you could have used two, the one you had worked well for the top bar but if I had to read text it was a quite hard font to read.

I think the combat was a bit weird, I had a hard time figuring out how soldiers worked, I kind of think I might have broken it? It said I had 3 available, 5 possessed and 4 max? In essence I kept track of the timer, threw my bone miners into the battlefield and then "back to the bone mines with you" as soon as it was over.

Fun challenging game

It took me quite a while to understand that with "heal" you meant heal the plants and not yourself. Maybe I'm dumb and missed something but would have been nice of the text at start would have been clearer about that. Could have done with checkpoints, or give at least 3 tries because only have the energy to climb the tree so many times :D

Hey I can't launch the game, you seem to be missing your openal dll with the files.

Derelict: Gaia Protocol by Groogy 2020-05-07T09:36:39Z

@daniil-tcyvakin what is not working? Is the game not starting at all? What platform?

Derelict: Gaia Protocol by Groogy 2020-05-10T22:59:53Z

@randomhuman I was going for a "glitched graphics" art style, if that makes sense. I'm not great at art, so I figured it would be a good way to "cheat" and just have the shader do some stupid math to make something appear and it sorta worked.

@uvwar Yeah I should have made better in game ux stuff to convey information better. The non-solid boxes are clouds or pollution. Solid is just the terrain.
