Good job. I like the theme and gameplay. I of course wished for a few more places & ways to hide! :D

Really cool game, I liked the environment and simplicity of it. Definitely challenging to manage it. The 'music' was a little distracting; I think something more atmospheric might have worked (for me) better. Good job overall.
Nicely done, great graphics. I wasn't able to figure it out in the end but very smooth game play mechanics and played very much like a rogue-like (I assume your inspiration) good job!
Really great game play ; it has a bit of the addictive quality of Angry Birds in being simple to start but difficult to master. I definitely think I 'lost' rounds sometimes but it sent me to the next galaxy ; allowing the player to repeat lost galaxies would probably feel better for a real game (although I imagine you made it the way you did due to the ludum dare ' you only get one')
Nicely done, this reminds me a lot of the old Phantasmagoria games by Sierra Online! It also was an ingenious way to get sound, animation and art in your game without having to produce a bunch of sprites or 3d models; I applaud your inventiveness!
So sorry I had two windows open my previous comment was for another game! For Candy Runner my comments are:
- great animation
- really stellar artwork for such a short time
- the core gameplay mechanic of key changing is presented in a way that is difficult for the player to both see the key and respond to the jumps in a timely fashion. I might suggest having the key appear in the center of the screen (where my vision is) as a transparent overlay if you continue to work with the one key idea rather than work up the quasi-platformer feel.
on that note i think this could be a very fun children or casual platformer that would do well on a casual game site, well worth a bit more of your time!
Got a couple of chuckles out of this nice work!
Winzip says its invalid and cant open archive :(
Nicely done. Good approach on a serious topic. I've often thought of taking on serious topics before but haven't had the courage!

Thanks for the great feedback everyone. A few responses
@Lacutis: Basically a bug ; the zombies range is probably too far. I didnt have time to fine tune it. I also wanted behavior that would cause the zombie to pause for a moment before attacking as if it were slow/stupid to give you a chance to hit it before it hit you.
@Crabman : Thats intended you should (depending on your screen brightness) be able to see the white cemetery construction easily enough to navigate the maze without light but NOT be able to see the zombies so you risk getting hurt if you cant snap on your light from time to time :)
@psycho : not for this Ludum Dare comp it was my theme element however I would like to add a pickup that the player could get to recharge the light. I think permanently running out of light is too harsh.
@ Soundguy: awesome thank you!
@ AlanZucconi: Thanks I totaly agree! I would like a much better movement and camera control for sure!
After downloading I am unable to unzip this with error that winzip says its an invalid archive?
Very nice idea; game play felt a bit 'slow' paced but overall simple and easy to pick up. Nice job.
Thanks @ OldPeculier ; ultimately I'd like to design something with more nuance and clearer satire in the mechanics of the game play. I was very aware that the mechanics of the game play might feel *very* uncomfortable.. given the material.
really innovative concept, good job!
