LD38 — A Small World

Chicken Planet by manabreak 2017-04-24T04:16:40Z

Great job on this! Your music is very catchy and the art is cute! About halfway through I ran into issues picking up the keys though.

It's a Small World, So Let's Crash It into Things by simonhutchinson 2017-05-05T04:19:13Z

Nice work! I've gotta say, the dark star announcing itself was super creepy...

I was a little confused about when I was allowed to "attack" the dark star; I tried to run into it once I was larger than it, just like the other planets. Really enjoyed defeating it at the end!

A few others have commented on this, but the camera transitions did feel abrupt to me.

Very well-rounded entry, nice consistent graphics, good audio, and a fun ending! Good job.

The turn-based system works well, but I didn't seem to be expending resources when I attacked? You have a good foundation but it seems like the core mechanics aren't there yet.

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T04:29:09Z

Great work! Very amusing dialog, and good use of sound effects :) I did feel like the physics could have scaled with he planet mass (seemed like I couldn't fling myself very far). Good execution otherwise; I enjoyed playing!

You have a decent foundation, and the mechanics worked well, but I struggled to understand the goal. Why am I taking damage? What role does air play? Good concept, I would like to see an added layer of goals/challenges.

Deja Vu by jdmazz 2017-05-01T04:38:22Z

Nice artwork! I did feel a bit lost at times trying to figure out where I had been previously. I would have liked to see another layer of complexity, maybe with pickup items (such as a brief speed boost? Or maybe +5 seconds to the timer? etc).
