LD39 — Running out of Power

BATTER-E by Peredom 2017-08-03T05:30:29Z

Nice job! The graphics are *excellent*. Gameplay is pretty solid too--i like the health/firepower tie in (vaguely reminds me of playing starfox 64). As others have mentioned, it has a clear Nuclear Throne feel.

I think the recoil effect might be *slightly* too strong / felt a little jarring, and I kind of wish I had a compass or minimap from the start. I also wanted to go down the ladders and get more money to buy things, but that didn't seem to be an option.

All very minor things though, great overall!

Wow, fantastic aesthetic! I'm impressed you have so many different runners, cities, etc. That's a lot of graphics. Gameplay was decent too, but I didn't quite get the sponsorship stuff (was that unfinished?) I got first place in a race but it denied the upgrade as far as I could tell even though that was the sponsorship objective.

Minor quibble though, overall, very impressive!

Beautiful graphics / overall design. I liked the little tiny sprites and the particle effects. Really hard to tell what's going on though. Overall though, very nice!

This idea is hilarious. I really like the concept and the graphics are superb. The controls are a bit complicated and the gameplay isn't quite there, but this is still pretty cool.

Zombies and RVs by pixelgriffin 2017-08-03T05:50:57Z

Really gorgeous game! Great job! You might want to make the level endings feel a bit less sudden--I thought I died at first. I got sort of stuck trying to jump back onto the RVs and had a few other weird mostly physics-related glitches happen, but the gameplay overall is pretty good and feels surprisingly polished.

Great work!

Oh man, I laughed so hard when I encountered GG for the first time. The graphics are great (super cohesive/fun style) and it's fairly fun to play. Discovering the downward dive added a lot. I was a little disappointed though that when I got to the end it seemed like I hit a glitch or something because it told me a grandma appeared but i was stuck on the instruction screen. Other than that though, solid!

The Greater Good by Hush 2017-08-03T06:20:15Z

I really love the style of this--great graphics and a solid overall feel. Props for taking such a narrative angle--the voiceovers were interesting. I think the gameplay could use a bit of polish and the voiceovers are sometimes a bit hard to hear and overlap with each other. I think with a bit of elbow grease, this could become something really great.
