Really nicely done! Reminded me of playing Lemmings when I was a kid and getting really frustrated they couldn't keep themselves alive. :) Great work on the music too, did you compose the track during the 3 days too?
Love the music and tone of the game!
Incredible experience! Beautiful art-style and audio design. Really excellent concept as well. Great work!
Always good to see a fellow UE4 dev on here! Nice work, the movement and camera swapping is really interesting mechanics. I did notice quite a bit of random slow down audio stuttering and I'm on a fairly beefy machine. Great work in 3 days tho!
Really love the somber background music, as it swells and fades in and out! It seems like a lot of buttons but they are fairly well organised so not too tricky to figure out. Audio feedback would have been great for the buttons. Had a lot of fun managing the population with only a bar, casino and red light district XD
Incredible concept and a really nice twist on the theme!
Great atmosphere and I like the consistency of the pixel art style. Freaking hard tho! XD
Great work! The art is incredible considering the time-frame and it's an interesting mix of things to manage.
Really love the music, has a bit of a Silent Hill vibe to it!
@ioan-pop , @ldd , @supergamersgames I appreciate you guys taking a look! Unfortunately there is no way to make it playable without VR since all the mechanics are based around motion controls.
@chloeofarroyo - thanks for letting me know, that's really unfortunate! I don't have a Vive to test on and I know the default "reset HMD" commands set up in UE4 can be a little tricky (I had to mess around with the Oculus one to get it to work right on OG Rift). I had set it up with the triggers to grab on Vive (since I've heard that is more comfortable on Vive controllers) and that should be the only buttons you need as long as it spawns you in the right location.
@erikvdb haha, thanks! I had a lot of fun recording the creature noises XD I didn't think it was possible to knock the creature off the table until it was already dead!
@png thanks for playing! The defibrillator has to be held on the creature until the next bar of music starts. A cymbal will crash to let you know it worked. I wanted to cue that with like a rising, warmup sound but I ran out of time unfortunately.
@kor that's so frustrating about the Vive and Index controls not working, I had set up all the inputs for the different headsets but don't have them to test on. Thanks for checking it out anyway. And yes, we both seem to have a passion for the old b-movies!
@gamescodedogs Thanks for playing it and your kind words! I've made a couple of small games for VR before and working on a bigger gothic horror project at the moment. Sense of presence is what I find really fascinating about VR so it definitely gets a lot of focus :)
@overmolo I guess you're more of a cat or dog person than eldritch abomination person, haha. :) Thanks for checking the video out!
@pineapple-po Definitely a big influence! :)
