LD50 — Delay the inevitable

I really like the different dream monsters trying to wake you up. Needs some more feedback on when things are happening to you or the monsters. I also enjoyed the monsters saying stuff and wish more of them had funny lines.

I got stuck on the first rope cutting level but I enjoyed the music and atmosphere. The voice acting was a great touch!

Love the snowman animation!

Great atmosphere and fun game play. I like that when I die I'm able to continue playing but am penalized for being unable to help and it lets the monsters build up.

Minor annoyances - Hard to read the tower building text when you don't have the money for it - I wish I could hold down my attack button rather than spam it

Wins - Sound effects and tower effects - Level design. I like the obstacles which gives bonus to the aoe towers

You have most of the controls locked down really well. I found going down a bit clunky and slowed down gameplay but I do agree it's probably better played on a gamepad. I loved watching my corpse but I didn't like how long it took to restart. I wanted to get back to the gameplay quicker.

Very fun game! The mechanic was a blast and I like how it's all based on vectors so it's a bit harder to control. The difficulty really adds to the craziness and fun of mastery. One quality of life feedback that I think will make the player feel better is having the lose game boundaries a bit further out than the viewport. This will make the feeling of coming back from the brink of being about to lose feel really good and when you lose you feel like you really deserved it.

Lots of charm and floaty platforming for those that enjoy the genre! I especially liked the face animations of the player and enemies.

Pretty fun game! Really enjoyed the gameplay loop and how forgiving all the hitboxes were. The upgrades were a nice add to the game but I wish they changed gameplay more rather than being stat upgrades.

Fun game! Highlights for me was the music, the backdrop art and time placement, and how the jump mechanics felt. At first I couldn't tell what the enemies were doing to me so some more feedback there would be nice. Lastly I couldn't tell which branches I could jump through.

Can't Tax Me by SasquatchBStudios 2022-04-05T19:31:12Z

Highlights - Fun gameplay, it was really satisfying to kill enemies and defend the door - Skill Animations were fun and I like the visual representations of enemy strength - Great atmosphere and music that energized me - Chopping grass is great

Areas of Improvement - Once I got to the door I had no reason to leave unless I didn't have the skills to kill the enemies below the door. - The jump mechanics are kind of finnicky and I got kind of stuck the first time I played before I got used to it and was able to properly defend. - Skills a bit OP once you got them and simplified game play

The mini map is super necessary to stay alive but at some point it felt like I was aiming more with the mini map to shoot across the house rather than looking at the game. Maybe if they came from 180 degrees instead of 360 I would be less reliant on it. Great touch with the owner dialogue, metal music and of course all the art is so cute!

I think the thing I wanted to see most was more play variety dependent on my upgrade choices.
