Hi there, I tried to build more framer ants but I was stuck at 3/12. Everything else is maxed out but I wasn't able to spawn more farmers.

Even after going through the tutorial I am still semi-confused about the mechanics of the game. Still it's am impressive game for a 3 day jam, it's a colony building simulator with a decent number of mechanics. The lack of visual feedback sort of makes it confusing, I sort of know what the ants are doing but not sure how they interact with the map. I won't penalize you for it though as it's a 3 day jam, this idea is really ambitious and you got a decent amount off the ground. Kudos.
@hi-im-greg: Thank you for the feedback, very helpful. Will remember to add more prompts to the earlier levels in the game. We weren't able to add the boundary in time but we felt that the arrows were an okay failsafe. We were hoping to record a few more lines of voice overs to make it less repetitive but I think we didn't have enough time in the end. Thanks for playing!
@jmartinez-gamedev and @chusmimax: Dang, forgot the undo button. You're right, it would be a good QoL buff. Thanks for the feedback!
@john-gabriel: Sorry about the voice clips, we wanted to have more but couldn't ship it in time. Thanks for the feedback.
@mnemosynevl: That would be a really good QoL feature. We wanted to make a boundary for the levels but we didn't have any time at the end. Thanks for playing.
Loot Goblin Bug.png Found a bug where the item fell through the bag. Didn't see it occur or the rest of the playthrough though.
Good use of the theme, turning something as mundane as packing with items that can damage each other was a great design choice. The graphics and sounds suited the concept of the game well. My only complaint is that the launcher felt a little awkward to use, I felt it would have been more enjoyable if I could slot my items more accurately like in Tetris. Overall, very enjoyable game.
Interesting interpretation of the theme. It was quite fun at the start but it gets very hectic. You get a lot of items very quickly, so quickly that you don't have time to read any of them, just end up putting on the equipment with the most powerful colour. Slowing down the item acquisition would allow you to think more about picking items to keep. Decent entry overall that can be greatly improved by with some tweaking and balance changes.
Interesting combination of game genres, conceptually the stacking of units fits well as an army builder mechanic. However, the 2048 section feels a little sluggish mainly because when compared to the actual 2048, there is a longer "cooldown" on making moves. I suspect you made this choice to balance the number of units you could create, but the problem with it is that it will always be compared to the fluidity of the original. Still, I'll give you props for trying to innovate. The graphics and audio suited the gameplay well, it was relatively simple but well executed. Not a bad entry for a 3 day jam, kudos.
Classic puzzle game with a reality bending twist. There was a good variety of puzzles for a three day jam. Some of the puzzles maps felt either too large or the movement cooldown felt too high; I often solved the puzzles and found myself waiting my character to walk from from one one end of the map to the next.
The graphics were well made and audio matched the environment well. The premise of the story gave me a chuckle at the start. Solid overall jam entry, nice work.
The story was one of the most unique ones I've come across this jam. My one request would be to cut down pressing space bar three times to one time, it felt a little repetitive to do every time I had to save myself. Loved the art and music, it really gave the impression of a living world full of character.
Hilarious sound effects, really enjoyed the goofy aesthetic.
After playing a few times it felt that the difficulty ramped up pretty quickly, necessitating good upgrades as fast as possible. Would be more enjoyable if the difficulty curve was less steep, giving players more time to acquire more upgrades.
The variety of upgrades was pretty cool though, getting combinations like multishot + pierce and bounce made gameplay feel really good.
Made it until the level where you have to remove 7 tiles. The puzzles are well thought out and there is a nice progression to them. Difficulty does get devilishly difficult near the end. Great game that fits the theme well.
