It's an interesting idea, but I didn't figure out what to do after MORSE code

ghpxi 2026-04-21 14:20

@itero-proto first you need to send signal to select the ship (top left corner displays the code for the ship)

anthony-katona 2026-04-21 14:25

I feel like I snuck in before you had a chance to include the instructions and I can't quite figure it out, but it's cool enough that I wanna keep the tab around and come back when it's time.

Or maybe you just didn't have time to really make the part where it's a game, in which case I have been there! And I hope you have time to flesh it out, because it's got some strong bones

sledzik 2026-04-21 14:26

It looks great sending morse feels nice but i couldnt make the ship turn

shlolo 2026-04-21 14:27

It took me a while to figure out what I needed to do (select the ship first with the correct code and then navigate using the letters), but once I got a hang of it, it was quite fun. A short tutorial explanation in-game or on the itch page would have been nice. Other than that I think thhe concept is really unique and interesting. A very cool interpretation of the theme. Also I love the clean minimalist pixel art style. I always love to see pixel art shaders like this. Very well done!

@ghpxi I understand! Wow! Unusual mechanics. I haven't seen anything like that. Well done

kayrum 2026-04-21 14:29

Great concept! Took a bit to find out how to select a ship.

head-priestess-ari 2026-04-21 14:30

Really cool concept! Could use a bit of a tutorial, took me a second to understand the controls. Sometimes I think there were letters under the pointers, which weren't readable and sometimes the ship didn't turn at all despite the letter visibly triggering. This game could be a really cool way to learn morse code! The simple design really fit the game well (^^)b

Very cool concept, I was indeed struggling at first to figure out how to select my ship, but after that it was pretty smooth. I do think the game only becomes interesting once you introduce multiple ships, making the first ship a bit of a chore if you die and have to start over again. I would've preferred if the first ship was a shorter route to compensate. Overall I thought it was a very cool concept and good execution, great job!

I like the idea; it’s cool. Unfortunately, it’s not very intuitive at first, and even after you sort of understand how to play, it’s quite difficult to handle and not very responsive. Maybe I didn’t get it fully. The visuals are simple, but I like them.

johncoffee 2026-04-21 14:51

Good Game. The morse code is a bit intense as a sound so often in a game. Would be cool if configurable. Great Job, be proud.

ghpxi 2026-04-21 15:43

@anthony-katona just added a little tutorial to the game

ghpxi 2026-04-21 15:44

@psevdonim it's intentionally not very responsive, simulating ships inertia, but you right, might be better

ghpxi 2026-04-21 15:45

@t00nbink I cut first short level in the last moment, due to lack of testing, agree that it would be better to gradually increase distances and difficulties

evil-gaufre 2026-04-21 17:01

Great idea to use the morse code to move a ship, with my second ship the game was freezed... don't know why (safari browser and godot web export probably don't match very well) but I have envoyed my small section of play

anthony-katona 2026-04-22 12:33

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH there's a '.' before the '----' in the first ship's select code!

I also kinda figured obtaining the first goal would reset the level so I set myself up for a nose dive into the land next to the goal instead of trying to careen gently around to drive-by it

But minor playtesting polish aside, this is probably the most 'Signals' take I've played. It's fun and straightforward and has an understated, pleasant style. Really cool

Super innovative! It feels very fresh and addictive! Thank you!

muraena 2026-04-23 18:09

Great concept, great execution! I'd like to praise the visuals -- clean, clear and stylish in their minimalism, permanent transparent letters on the map are a very smart choice!

capreola 2026-04-24 17:26

I didn't notice the dot before "----" in the first ship code too, good thing I looked in the comments haha

The game is super neat! I really like how it looks and feels. I wish letters were a bit bigger, as my eyesight is not too good. But the concept is great!

mastoast 2026-04-26 21:15

I've been thinking for a long time on how to make a 1 button game with morse code, and never managed to find a good concept, but you did amazing

I really like the visuals, and all the nice work done on feedbacks, you have a very well polished game as well

venomousmouse 2026-04-27 11:46

In general, very nice idea and game. What would i ask to consider, is to add numbers from 0 to 9, as if u have 2 letters in yours ship range it will choose random letter (i had 2 H in ships range). But in the end you can just wait for 1 letter to be in range, so it`s just my personal take.

aleksey-salion 2026-04-27 20:38

I love the colors and the visuals overall are simple but clean, except the fonts. It's hard to read dots and dashes and sometimes I cannot distinguish D from O. Lovely game, good job!

ochpochpunk 2026-04-30 21:01

Cool concept and really nice visual style — it immediately caught my attention. I might just be dumb, but I couldn’t figure out how to make the ship turn. If you have time, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out and rate my game too!

pmarincak 2026-05-01 01:46

Interesting concept. It required a little bit of fiddling with it to figure out how to turn the ship. It was a bit difficult to select between ships and also direct them in a timely manner - perhaps it's just a skill issue? I found that sometimes it was difficult to get the timing for a dot vs. a dash down but that can likely be solved via configuration options if this were to be developed further. Otherwise the art and audio was well done and fit the mood just right. Great job!

So stressful 😄 Great implementation of the theme, plays well. Maybe you can actually lean fully into the educational part of it, I would not play it just for fun. It gets repetitive after the third try, maybe if I could call the next ship right away so I get to the stressful part early, I would have done more tries.
