Great Game. The only issue was I could not differentiate between mimics and chests. Also I was able to defeat mimics without checking and losing HP.

In this game, you have to wait, right? Or did I misunderstand?

This is such a fun idea! I really like the art style, it suits the game really well. Great job!

Really fun idea, and the mimic scanner was pretty fun to fiddle with. I don't know if the downside of breaking the chests was enough to warrant all the scanning though. I think the hidden wall mechanic could've been done without, as it just incentivized me to bump into everything

Appreciate the vibes. Love a good moody-lit dungeon. Voice acting was also a great touch. Love the growling of the mimics on the sensor.

Thank you for giving all the items little interactions. Loved clicking the horn/duck whenever I felt fidgety.

Fantastic humor!

My browser did come very close to crashing when I used the popper not sure if that was just an HTML5 quirk or what.

Great job, team!

Very funny, I especially liked the Yones' reaction to the skip button :D The visuals fit the vibe perfectly Got stuck on the third (?) level at the gate that required more keys but I couldn't find any more on the level.

Neat game! Made me nostalgic for the dungeon crawlers of my youth. The scanner mechanic worked really well. There were two chests that my scanner didn't work on. One of them, there was no positive signal. The other, the scanner closed really quickly for some reason. Anyway, great work. I wish one of the items was a torch! :flashlight: |> mimics.png

Great Game. Love the variety of items (quack!). I played on a trackpad and found the scanner adjustment a bit fatiguing after a while, especially sometimes when it doesn't zoom in. Overall verry interesting and fun to play!

@yakovdavis : Thanks for playing. I was worried about this being the case. One key is hidden behind a fake wall. I added a note to the page with the spoiler tags for others.

@comicsans : Thanks for playing and good job on finishing the game.

@lohii @gantunk : Thanks for playing. The balancing was definitely last minute so I appreciate that just smacking everything is a valid strategy. Maybe it is optimal for the speed run

@braktheman : When testing not in the browser the popper was fine but yes it seems like in the browser the particles cause terrible slow-down. Thanks for playing.

This was really fun. I really liked the opening especially and how the guy reacts to you skipping the dialogue. You can tell a lot of love went into this one. I particularly enjoyed searching for secrets but felt sad when I beat up a chest with loot :(

i love my loot but I must have run in circles because i couldn't get out XD not sure if missed a hidden room. Really funny when you skip the dialogue, I've never seen that! Had a good time!

Entertaining and perfect for quick sessions.

nice

This is weird and zany in all the best ways. Very humorous entry

doug-graham 2026-04-28 17:07

Great entry, love the old wolf3d vibes I got from it. great job!

Nah, that was dope! Really fun gameplay and a great interpretation of the theme. If I had one thing to suggest: add a way to find secret doors (I literally hit every wall to find them). Maybe you could add a functionality to some items dropped by chests and mimics to give indications about the proximity of secret walls (or maybe there’s already a way to find them, but I couldn't figure it out).

Love the concept, great idea to make a game about mimics nice job!
