Each time you restart sound of drill is added xd need to have disable sound button

Overall good base for game with shop upgrades

av-shustov 2025-04-08 11:43

It looks good. It could be an interesting mobile hyper-casual if more content is added.

@yohadams Oh, this was not supose to happened, i think is a bug of HTML version, i am glad you liked the base of game, unfortunely i did not have much time to make, upgrades was on the plans.

cafe-spectrum-studio 2025-04-09 02:28

@av-shustov Thank you, my friend! i happy you liked too

Nice job! I was able to get 191 gold, not too shabby if I do say so myself. I really liked the sprite-work. One suggestion is to maybe increase the game speed over time, so as you get deeper you have to react a little faster. Good entry!

solmaris 2025-04-09 02:51

I've never seen this type of infinite game, cool concept. If you plan to expand it maybe slowing increasing the speed of the drill could produce some interesting gameplay. Glad you were able to make a submission!

Simple and does what it says on the package. Pretty engaging for short bursts. I got 525 gold, but by that time the motor sound was really drilling into my ears too.

marcos-tulio-cavalcante 2025-04-09 11:51

Fala colega. Gostei bastante da gameplay se você colocar uns power ups, uma músiquinha. No site opengameart tem músicas com cc0 que são de domínio público.

@michael-parrish Thank you!!! i thought this but unfortunely i have not to much time

cafe-spectrum-studio 2025-04-13 15:37

@solmaris Glad you like the idea!

cafe-spectrum-studio 2025-04-13 15:37

@thesmellofoxygen The SFX really broke the game in HTMl, sad

cafe-spectrum-studio 2025-04-13 15:38

@marcos-tulio-cavalcante Que bom que gostou meu mano! Isso tudo fazia parte dos planos, mas passei a maior parte do meu fim de semana fora e tinha que trabalhar na segunda, até comecei a programas os upgrades mas tive que cortar.

Solid entry, with nice art and enjoyable game pace. I was unlucky and world stopped generating coal so I run out of it lol, so not absolutely infinite. Good luck!

145m!

Nice game!

Some cool features to consider for a follow-up game:

* Pressing down: increase game speed, similar to Tetris. This would be helpful when waiting between actions and could make the experience more enjoyable. You could experiment with this feature: + Plain: Just a nice-to-have addition + Enhance it with effects (overclocked engines SFX, visual speed effects) + Make it resource-intensive (but then we might be back to square one, watching the game scroll by while waiting for the next interaction) + Introduce a delay in response when leaving the speed effect, making it a timing challenge like an out-of-control machine * Reduced visibility or increased enemy speed: * Upgrades between runs using earned money (vertical speed, lateral speed, more ore, fewer enemies, better enemy visibility)

The simple moment to moment gameplay is fun! i agree with what other folks are saying about how its a good base for more complex gameplay, kind of like a shmup.

Cute entry! Controls feel a bit stiff and slow, but this is something that can easily be improved with a bit more time. Great work especially for your limited time!

zimny11 2025-04-25 22:49

Nice game! As mentioned above game could have been a bit faster, also coal (fuel) is a bit too random and runs ends based more on this randomness than player decisions. So making it faster with more things to dodged and more fuel, will maybe give more control to the player. Anyway, well done, especially for such a short amount of time!

Fun basic idea! I didn't realize in the beginning I was supposed to collect the orange rocks, lol. Also I think it would be cool if it sped up over time. I think there's definitely room to expand on this!

Great prototype for being made in a few hours. I found no bugs and the controls were very smooth and a fun game to play. Just rated. Hope you get 20.
