Seting is very cool, the graphics are beautiful, but pls add settings of mouse sensitivity

inonesgraveded 2024-10-08 14:30

Truly interesting setting

frostblooded 2024-10-08 19:40

I couldn't find if there is any gameplay implemented, but the graphics and mood were top notch. Good job with the art, I love it! :)

hirqshi 2024-10-08 19:42

Top tier artstyle and setting

parxer 2024-10-08 19:44

Is it just me or is there no sound? Overall, there seems to be a lot of unimplemented stuff, but what you managed to do looks awesome; I'd be interested in playing a more complete version for sure!

maria-alrik 2024-10-09 09:13

Wow, did someone manage to assemble a 3d game in 3 days? respect

d-indie 2024-10-09 09:37

Gentlemen, today the final build of the game will be uploaded. Added sounds, new animations, ending. Anyone interested, please wait for the final build. We will be glad to receive your feedback again!

creativ4eg 2024-10-09 10:09

I had a hard time scrolling to the game, please insert fewer screenshots :D Awesome doom mood!

karenchik 2024-10-09 10:48

So cool, really hard work, i like the style. I hope ypu finish the game and it will be a 100% perfect

2024-10-09 14:26

That game is very short ,but very cool

boodle 2024-10-09 15:50

I'm not sure if you're aware but according to the rules you're not allowed to add new features (such as sounds, animations, an ending, etc.) to your entry after the deadline for the jam is up. You can upload a new build with those features (especially if you only do it on itch) but it must be clearly marked as "post jam", and it is not the version that should be rated or scored. The only things you can change about the game are minor or crucial bug fixes.

For more information you can read all the rules at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules, which is also linked in the footer of the website.

I just dont know what to say, fascinating game!

nikitastarostin 2024-10-10 02:03

@boodle This team is presenting a game from ITHub College, for which they will receive grades. They have the responsibility to finalize the game if they want to win the college Jam. And yes, updates are not banned on Ludum Dare. Anyway, if they were banned, the Ludum site itself wouldn't allow uploading a new build version, so be more loyal to this situation and better rate the game people have invested strength. At the very least writing a comment under the game starting with a hit and run is disrespectful. I hope you can understand me. My personal opinion about the game: you are good that you decided to make such a big project, but as you can see there is not much time to put everything together. I personally was not really clear where to go, but specifically the design - my respect. You also used Unreal Engine. Well done! I give it a rating of 10/10, but only because of the graphics. I hope that next time you can make a full playable game within the jam. Respect for 3D from JoBlow!

boodle 2024-10-10 09:53

@nikitastarostin The reason Ludum Dare allows you to upload new builds is to fix minor or crucial bugs. To cite the rules directly:

"Certain Bug Fixes are allowed. You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline."

Adding an ending to the game is not included under that definition. I don't understand the part of your comment about hit and runs and disrespect. IF it refers to something in the game I didn't even start or rate the game. I just came across someone openly planning to cheat in the jam and decided to point that out in case they didn't know. To openly ignore those rules is disrespectful to the other competitors.

Adding features might be well within the rules for your internal jam at ITHub College, but it's against the rules of the Ludum Dare Jam, and could still have been uploaded to Ludum Dare without accepting ratings if the team wants to not outright break the rules of THIS competition, which they have entered.

hirqshi 2024-10-10 11:51

@boodle All the content from the last build was in the previous one, due to a bug with generator blueprints there was no access to it, the door to the last location did not open. A fix for the correct operation of the generator and sound system can be considered a fix for important bugs. And the wording in the blogpost looks the way it does because it’s more clickable.

boodle 2024-10-10 12:56

@hirqshi I'm not sure the wording "we are going to cheat in this competition" is more clickable than almost any other alternative.

If your team still wants to be valid competitors in this competition in addition to the one at your college, the rules recommend that you "highlight the changes you make in your submission (a short change log)", so I would also recommend doing that in the actual submission text rather than through ambiguous wording in a comment.

I'll leave this comment section alone now, people can form their own opinion based on this information.

graeme-norris 2024-10-12 00:56

I liked the setting and the pixelated shader effect worked really well for the setting

adam-gallina 2024-10-12 01:22

Really nice environment! The gameplay itself was kind of hard to discover - I was able to find some objects that were interactive, but there wasn't any clear direction as to what my goal was, there seemed to be a lot of potential paths, especially since there was no fall damage, but I had a hard time figuring out which was the intended path. Overall really nice job, the music added a lot to the environment, but like Boodle was saying, I'd recommend clarifying if the music was a bug fix or created after the jam, there's a lot of conflicting information between your posts

hirqshi 2024-10-13 13:53

@adam-gallina ahahhaha actually music was made in the very first evening of this jam

adam-gallina 2024-10-14 23:43

@hirqshi glad to hear it, I'll update my rating then :)

ciaranw 2024-10-15 23:07

I just want to check: there are many places where it seems I should be able to jump to (like the ramp in the room at the end of the second pipe) but I don't seem to be able to jump high enough. Is that supposed to be that I need to find a different way, or is the jump height/gravity maybe somehow dependent on frame rate?

Game looks & sounds really good though! Very atmospheric

hirqshi 2024-10-16 08:28

@ciaranw in this huge room you should jump while facing a wall. There is a mechanic of wallslide, that is activated when you press "w", but if you don't press it, and just jump while facing a wall, you will jump much higher. Sadly we didn't get much time to explain this to players. I can say that slide depends on framerate though¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ciaranw 2024-10-16 21:08

@hirqshi Wow, you really need to add some instructions up at the top of the page ^^^^^^^ - there is SO much more after that room, and I don't think I would have figured it out without your help! Even after you explained it, it took me a few tries: it's kind of like a "wall jump" mechanic - I found that if I jumped at a wall and pressed space, then I would jump off it and go way higher!

Now I've completed it :) Very nice, I love the atmosphere and the story that you get towards the end - it's a very atmospheric game, excellent job for the jam!

pikario 2024-10-17 16:35

I liked the first level, very Mirror's Edge! I wish there was more like this. Got stuck in the room like everyone, the wall jump is difficult to handle. But I finally managed to reach the end, interesting twist. Love the art and the idea.

But as other comments stated it, I can not rate this game. You need to provide the original submitted version to be able to compete with the others entries (on your itch.io page just upload the original game file and then another which will be the one you update)

But overall well done, cool game

pengkaiou 2024-10-20 03:18

3D games are more difficult to make, which I admire

creeper-nade 2024-10-20 05:18

I was stuck in the first room, and it was a bit hard to figure out how to use the slide/wall slide mechanic. However, I appreciate the ambiance and atmosphere created; the movement and control of the player are really smooth!

nopogo 2024-10-21 18:43

love the graphics, the camera lean to the left and right had me a bit nauseus so unfortunately couldn't play it long

jokku 2024-10-25 14:45

Uuu beautiful graphics! I definitely see the inspiration 😊Most of the models look really good (I specially like the tanker) and the texture work fits in great! The sheen on the metallic surfaces looks good but I think there is little too much of it on some surfaces. Jumping feels a bit floaty but otherwise solid controls. I was positively surprised by the running animation and ending cutscene, rare to see those in LD games👍The room before the green place gave me Portal vibes! Some of the parts were little dark and I couldn’t figure out where the floor ended and void began, otherwise great lighting! Overall A tier ambiance!

khelian 2024-10-25 21:54

Liked the mood very much, the graphics style and setting! But I couldn't really find my way through, I guess I missed a bunch of stuff
