Very funny and enjoyable game. The graphics are great. And the game itself has a huge scope for development

wow the art is incredible! love this game
When I saw the cover art and the mechanics, I couldn't believe this was an actual game jam game, and by 3 people as well!
The highlight for me was the fact that this is a 3D entry. I love all the references and it feels very Ratatouille. I would just say that I would love to see more of the king's power aside from leading it's army.
I wouldn't be surprised if this game reaches high rankings. Good job!
I was recommended this game by my friend and this is beyond what i am expecting! the art and mechanics r spectacular. I could not find any rubbish bag at all for my 2 trials though. Its just so sad to see my rats dying because of the frogs.
Had a lot of fun with this. Great graphics and sound, and the concept is good. I wasn't entirely sure what I was supposed to do (i.e. what the end goal was), so I just sort of wandered around aimlessly. While I really liked the different kinds of rats, it would have been nice to know what it is they do (e.g. I assume the big rat does more damage, but what does the lab rat do?).
Also, sometimes there were like 2 or 3 cats in an area, which was basically just a death sentence. Even one cat is basically guaranteed to half my rat population (or worse). I essentially just ran whenever I could if I saw one, but sometimes the rats would still suicide themselves against the cat for no reason. I would have liked if I could pull them away from combat more easily.
Anyway, this is a great game, and I hope it does really well!
A well polished entry indeed. The design and mechanics are great. The only thing it lacks is an objective, like a score of some sort.
@onlysleptfor4hourstdy You seems to be very unlucky, you probably can retry once more I swear it shouldn't be that hard
@jaco-van-hemert Cats and especially multiple cats are supposed to be fled from until you have a truly death stack of rats (something like 80-120 rats). The lab rat have higher attack speed and speed.
@iron-head we wanted to include a boss battle but we runned out of time, you can think the number of your rats on the left as a score!
Incredible! Really polished entry with great art, really good music and well implemented mechanics!
Would have loved if there was an end goal (maybe gathering an army strong enough to take back the rat king's territory or sth). But it's somehow incredibly relaxing just gathering a bigger and bigger army of rats, vibing to the music and seeing my rats just absolutely demolishing everything that got in their way once I had gathered enough of them.
btw it's possible to gather way more than 100 rats

@sockenpuppe it's intended to go beyond the cap! it's just like a small goal to reach as a objective like i told earlier
Would also really like to have a boss fight with my boys but we runned out of time!
This was INCREDIBLE!!! :scream: The look and feel of it I absolutely LOVED. Very satisfying to gather a huge group of rat followers. The amount you guys were able to cram in a 72 hour jam is astounding. "How many enemy types should we make for this? 50? Yeah, that sounds good". And then you pulled it off. :flushed: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
The ninja turtle cameo was the best. :raised_hands:  I did feel a bit like Splinter walking around with my apprentices. lol.
Like others mentioned, maybe having some win condition of some kind?... instead of just dying would be good? But honestly, I enjoyed just exploring around.
Is the level endless? I was trying to figure out how you did that part... it's seamless however you did it. It feels so cool. One of my fav entries so far. Really nice work.
@scrapmetal Yes the level is generated on the go with some procedural generation rules!
Definitely my favorite one so far! It plays soooo smooth! Oh my god! Edit: haha! a tmnt reference
This looks and feels lovely. I struggled to get anywhere though. My main issue is that I couldn't disengage with enemies when my rats came across them - and that became a real problem when I didn't have many rats. As soon as I found some food or a bag, my small number of rats would be destroyed by a nearby enemy. I need to be able to run away from them until I've built up enough of an army to fight them off! It also felt like there wasn't much of a difference between the commands - get behind, or go over there... they both kinda did what they wanted either way!
Other than that, it's a really nice entry... beautiful graphics, sound and mood.
The art style is really really good, but it wasn't clear what some rat variants did, and it was kind of just running at enemies with numbers. The polish on this entry is really great though. Good entry!
I love the game. The art and music are so unique and comforting. Adventures under the dark and grim environment is definitely interesting. The difficulty curve can be a little rough, especially early cats. The rewards for fighting an enemy is not very great. Maybe an unique rat for certain enemy type would be more fun? For the late game, I had over 100 rats. Did I miss anything for the 100 rats requirement? Seems like nothing is happening afterwards. However, the game is very addicting, and I would recommend the game other people, good job guys!
There is nothing that 100 rats unlock specifically it's a just a small little goal.
It's just beautiful. The art, the music. Composes really well with the chill gameplay. Amazing work!
