I tried, I really did, but I just do not have enough memory to do well at this game! I really love that you are thinking outside the box!

Very enjoyable, a solid entry and well done.
I'll be honest, I thought it was going to be a match-three game looking at the initial thumbnail, but I was pleasantly surprised to find an interesting memory/puzzle game!
The graphics weren't anything to write home about and the sounds were fairly rudimentary but the core game itself was really well put together. Well done!
This is addictive. The number of levels where you only have one skull to neutralize are perfect to get the feel for it, and then the real challenge begins, where you are really moving a bunch of columns. What worked well for me was to pick a symbol to focus on ASAP and then just plan the moves with the remaining time of the symbols visible. I did OK, but I'm definitely a bit tired for this :D
It took me a while to figure it out but managed to do it. Pretty cool!
a good idea that puts the brain in knots
cool minigame for memory training, reminds me about Rubik's cube a bit! Although I was struggling at start, it's quite hard to understand what to do without text! Good job though!
Nice brain puzzle.
I liked the game. Good graphics and sounds. I like memory games)
Good puzzle game! I like it, it so satisfying for people with 3D-brain!
A good ole classic memory game, I both love them and hate them, but I think you did this very well! It was just challenging enough to not be too frustrating ;)
Man, I never thought that the lack of music or sound could create such a moody enviroment. And the puzzles are really cool. Gret Job!
At first I was afraid I have to remember all the symbols but I quickly realized that I just have to remember y solution. Once I did the remember mechanic became more interesting than I originally thought because you not only have to find a solution but also find the easiest to remember solution! Of course it is a bit of a double edged sword as for me it made the game a tad to straining to play for me personally, but I was very glad the levels weren't randomly generated and I could approach them multiple times
Maybe it would be helpful if not all tiles are black and maybe some more have colors or some other marks? In its current form I accationally messed up how far I shift the tiles. Also it would be cool if evil that turned into a rune would count as suroundung rune for other evils. Overall good entry!
That was a fun puzzle game! The difficulty ramped up a little too slowly in my opinion, but some of the later levels got really tough especially when I would accidentally slide a piece to get the skull in the right position.
I really enjoyed the pacing of this one. After you get to the three skulls it gets really stressful to try to find a solution before everything disappears. Really well done, thanks for sharing.
Hi all, thank you for testing and for feedback.
I've just uploaded a post-jam version with a few enhancements. The progression is now saved. (https://patbgames.itch.io/ld55-post-jam-runes-summoner)
@oadt marks on black tiles are on my todo list. Evil that turned into a rune that can count for other evils is an interesting idea, I will think about it.
This was a fun time. I enjoyed the simple mechanics, and can see how scaling them would be hectic and fun. The audio effects were charming and matched the visual style.
I could have done with a basic loop to help ratchet up the tension. You might have added some music in the post-jam version, but consider having different music for each of the phases -- one for memorizing the tiles and the other for stumbling in the dark.
Overall, good work!
