Fun idea :) A bit stresfull when everything is shaking as you jump around :)
I love the concept! It's like if Slimes were the main characters in minecraft.
It's only 7 restart need for me to escape from island. Is' a bit hardcore for the first time but if you play more it become easier. I like an idea, good work)
Interesting idea! I wish could rotate around to more precisely place items, I had to do a lot of extra jumping to get items where I wanted.
Took me a while to figure out how to do anything, didn't realize the paper thing is actually hints lol. After that, it gets pretty fun!
This is such a cool idea, but unfortunately I just lost it in the sauce after a while. Each reiteration I found new recipes, thought I know what to do, only to realize it's not working. Reiterating to look at the recipe again, to see that sticks are not sticks but planks which are just a little wider... And then doing the same several times again for other recipes because apparently there are like 4+ different ores in game which have slightly different shapes and colors on paper, and don't always share resemblance with real ores. I thought I figured all out, but then I got recipe for fireplace, and just straight up could not build it.
Sorry for this wall of frustration, I really wanted to love this game and finish it, but did not make it to the end :(
This won't be a deal breaker for my ratings though because it's fixable pretty easy (rework sprites and add "skip button" to cycle faster) and did not take away from initial exploration part, which was exciting :D
What a pleasant little game!
Love the dynamic beaches that come and go revealing more of the map and give more resources/hints to figure out what to do.
The **Thump** sound effect were great but the screen shake was maybe a bit much. was fun to try and be more efficient and trying new things.
The graphics were simple but looked really clean and fit the vibe of the game pretty well.
Great little survival puzzle game!
@bastian-bresson We thought about adding an ability to turn in place right at the end, but we simply ran out of time to implement it and properly test it.
@nozomu57 Thanks for the detailed feedback. These icons actually went through several iterations, but apparently they're still not clear enough, mostly because the shapes aren't unique in a very obvious way, which is a mistake on my part. But differences can still be spotted (stick is darker and much thinner than plank and flint is much sharper than coal). As for skipping, I thought of a solution for it but never got around to actually implementing it (basically holding movement button would repeat the movement faster over time, allowing you to stand against the wall to quickly skip to desired "stage"). We also thought it may be a good idea to "store" found maps somewhere across restarts so you can easily view them any time you want (an alternative to remembering them or taking screenshots of them). Maybe we'll add those features and fixes at some point to the itch.io version of the game. Still, we hope that despite these issues you enjoyed playing the game and that you'll try to finish it again :)
A bit difficult to understand what to do, but fun and nice mood!
Great take on the theme! I really like how the beaches change the landscape with time and that you can use knowledge checkpoints to become more efficient in later runs. The only thing that I would have liked to see is that the information you gather would be stored ingame because I had to rely on screenshots to beat this game. Overall well done on making a fun game!
Super cute and fun. I fell in the water, blah.
Probably the most creative and polished game of the jam. I ran into 0 bugs, I had 0 complaints, it's just a good entry
Really fun concept. Enjoyed the SFX and graphics. Game mechanics was fun and juicy.
I love everything about this game. With the exception of step count. Overall well done.
Cutesy cool game.
It is amazing. I love your creation. It's also good that it isn't really a hard puzzle. There's really almost no puzzle after all. I just think that it's very clever, how everything is put together in this game. Epic.
I really like the idea behind this game. But in my opinion there are a few things contradicting in this game which bothered me. First of all I wasn't really able to complete the game as it became increasingly unclear for me what to do. The game requires you to restart (or die) on purpose to get further into the game, but every time when I though I knew how to progress, I was unable to do so (since I might have missed a thing, or use the wrong item) which made it really 'unfun' to continue.
At first I thought I had to go through each step every time, but you very quickly run out of steps to take which messed me up on how to solve the puzzle. So then maybe I can wait till the correct beach comes up? But it took a while, so the beaches are bound to move count?
I personally think tying progress and restart together is a weird choice. Since restarting implies try again in my opinion. You feel like 'guess I'll restart' when you only have a few moves left, but this is eventually the way forward.
I may sound very negative, but overall I think the game is quite fun. The graphics are great, the screen share didn't bother me much personally and the graphics, sound effects, controls are all very good!
One last note, I think walking against something should not count as a move per se. This often happend on accident when I actually wanted to move somewhere else.
so interesting !! love this game so much,,cute art style and nice design ,I spent a lot time in this game of finding all stuff ,get ideas from cards ,,,wish for more content of this game ,nice work
