The game looks cool, but make sure to add a link!

Loved the art for the robots, found the game and objective quite confusing. Didn't need to use any strategy, just sent em all in and 2 of them made it out. Fun game and music, the robotic voice gave me a slight fright when it first played, didn't expect it.

@weston-goggins we have embeded build on page. What link do you need? We can make.

@drfallos Ah, I must have just scrolled past it lol. I love the concept of a strategy game with semi-autonomous units, and it's executed really well!

Thanks a lot!!!!!

I love the art and music, the concept seems really cool, but I really struggled to progress at all. My robots just kept dying and I feel like I'm missing some core concept. At one point one of my robots just disappeared.

the music still has a voice about licensing :D. It was a good pick of music though. The UI looks great but the game is confusing, didn't really get it

Never managed to get more than two robots out, or really master proper usage of the robots' skills. I had the best results when I just sent everyone in at the same time and hoped for the best. Still, congrats on the proof of concept!

Fun game concept! I like the ability to stop/start units at any time. It feels a bit like old school Rainbow Six where you plan which units start from certain locations, and then execute the plan and make changes in realtime. The robot stats are cool, and feel distinct enough to create some cool strategies if you end up adding more levels after the jam. The physics getting thrown around as you move is a nice touch, too. Great work! :)

I'm not entirely sure where the strategy comes into play here. You send your robots in, they get swarmed by the enemies and die, rinse and repeat. It doesn't seem to matter which entrance you go in from, or how much you spam their abilities, they just get massive chunks of health ripped away in five seconds flat no matter what you do. Looking at the previous reviews, I'm not the only one.

Graphically, this looks excellent, except for some of the text (like the description of Dr. Pi's ability) being cut off mid-sentence. In terms of gameplay, though, this is crying out for some kind of tutorial that walks you through how to play, or at the very least, some re-balancing so it's not so difficult. Right now it just feels like sheer trial and error, and that's not fun.

Interesting concept! It's like a crossover between a tactical game and an auto-battler. It's fun watching the bots pushing boxes in front of themselves and use them as cover. :P

Well, this game is officially hard.

jimmymcginger 2023-05-07 21:14

Really enjoyed the graphics and vibe (shame about the robot lady telling me about music licensing over and over but I get why it was like that), like others I found the gameplay quite confusing but I like the ambition and attempt to do something really different.

I always like autochess style games, but i felt pretty powerless given none of our attacks actually hurt the bad guys

But im also a sucker for mecha bunnies

I just ran in with the scout and ran back out lol

I got it complete at least. I think there is something really cool that has been set up here but it fells like it needed more time. I was very confused and just needed to be helped with it more. A tutorial would have gone a long way. I never full felt like I understood what was going to happen and why, thus I could not really develop my strategy beyond blind guess work. Robots are cool though
