As a player who loves a good challenge, I was excited to jump into this game and test my skills. However, I quickly found that the mechanics were quite difficult, and at times a little confusing. I appreciated the challenge, but I also wished that the learning curve had been a bit smoother. Despite this, I have to say that the art in the game is truly fantastic. It creates a captivating world that draws you in and keeps you immersed in the gameplay. I also loved the game's concept - it's really creative and unlike anything I've seen before. The sound, while a bit repetitive, still did its job

I tried to play this game. Unfortunately, it is not clear how to connect the two areas. Switching between building areas with the keyboard does not work

Sorry for people who think the controls are a little confusing, we thought the tutorial was clear enough :'(

Basically : Create areas with Q around mines, W around factories and E around houses. And connect them with roads : to create them, get into Road building mode (R) then click on the first area, then click on the second area. No need to drag the mouse between the two, it's two separate clicks !

A really complex (in a good way) game for this little time we've had. Good job.

I really liked the game! I love this time and resource management genre. For me the instructions were clear, the shortcuts were great, the only confusing was the "R" I always wanted to remove with it. Thanks guys for creating this game, good job! (:

Nice game, i like it a lot! I had the problem with distinguishing wether a house needs a raw or a factory version of a certain color. Realised i could see it better by pressing the alt key :) I sometimes had the problem that pausing or unpausing it would jump back to the previous setting.

I'm a little confused. I think I've understood the main game mechanic: you don't deliver to and from locations directly, you have to encircle those locations with districts and create links between the districts instead. But I've gotten stuck here, I'm delivering raw green to this house district but the green house wont seem to accept it.

Otherwise this is a cool game!

Neat idea! Cool puzzles, would be neat to see a post-jam version with slick graphics.

Hey, I understood and played your game for the first 6 levels and the tutorial. I might come back and finish later but I believe I got the gist of the game. It was very satisfying to see everything play out once you connected everything and hit play, I enjoyed that and felt like I was actually forming a strategy. I am impressed that the dots were also smart enough to go to the proper locations and not head in any wrong directions. It was confusing at first for sure, the problem I had was not knowing when to use the "industry" or the "mining" for the homes, it was told in the tutorial but it was tough remembering everything. I think using different icons/shapes for the dots would've helped this. Also maybe having a universal circle tool instead of swapping between build modes would've simplified things.

But hey, you guys might not want to hear my opinions, we all had limited time and rarely do we get to have everything as perfect as we'd like. But props for doing something that is different from everyone else.

Like @evilscotsman, the green house on the last tutorial level seems bugged for me or I'm misunderstanding something. Otherwise it's really fun!

wrong-timeline 2023-05-07 22:56

@evilscotsman @luthwyhn I believe the green house in the tutorial needs transformed greens instead of raw greens ! In hindsight the icons are way too similar between raw and transformed products but the difference should be visible if you press Alt or hover the house :)

@beeb-gamecodecompany Thank you for that very detailed feedback ! Having a universal circle drawing was the plan initially, but we thought it would be more "intuitive" to have different modes for this. Our reasoning was that we were afraid people would not understand why, by drawing a circle over multiple types of buildings, it would select only one type out of all of them. So we split the three types more "explicitly".

complex yet fun to play. the tutorial was very helpful

Awesome idea, nicely done. well made tutorial.

Interesting concept and very nice music, I like the atmosphere and feel of the game, however as others mentioned, a little bit more "hand holding" for the player would be appreciated (in the tutorial, maybe add a mention that you need to encircle the house as well, as it wasn't immediately clear, and then in the game itself it would help to show some goals (like, do we have to deliver all the resources in all the houses? and why after I fill the blue house and delete its' area to work on others its' resources drop to 0? etc)

pouyan-shekarikiani 2023-05-14 20:12

Awesome game, first i tried to play it without the tutorial and that was a total failure lol, I went back for the tutorials and when i understood the mechanics I started to enjoy it a lot. great game. well done

I really liked the idea of a strategy based game!

The only thing I would improve is the UI. Sometimes, when the zones collide, its really hard to delete the right zone or line. Also, I would have liked to get more visual/audio feedback when i reached the maximum on the zones/lines.

Overall, it was a fun game to deliver color to the people!

calicobubbletea 2023-05-17 10:11

I enjoyed it! Really nice concept and great come out. Could be more fun if it's more a building game rather than level-based, or if the levels are more polished.
