Incredibly charming and cute, and fun The opening cutscene was greatly put together nice music, good presentation a bit slow on the gameplay though, pressing one button every 5 seconds at the start isnt super fun, gets better once it ramps up
Exactly as Bosvo said above, very nice presentation, but the game was very slow in the start. Also having a life system would be nice, as now with one mistake all progress is lost. Well done! Nice one!

@bosco @greenphox Thanks :smile:
Yep I was not really sure about the progression, especially at the beginning. Maybe a variable speed depending on the letter count could be better. For now, the time you have to type a one-letter word or a 10-letter word is the same :sweat_smile: As for the life system, I wanted to do an "arcade" style game where you only have one chance :grin:
I like it but a bit too punishing for me
Like the others have said, it's a little slow at the start, which makes the one mistake to lose aspect of it pretty rough. Otherwise nice job! I liked seeing all the grub (and boots and paper) fall into the cauldren at the end. The guy's gonna have serious gut problems though if he eats like that all the time.
This was hysterical 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I literally laughed several times as I was playing this.
I'm very fortunate to be a quick typer (and not have to look at the keys when I type), but I wish the game had health or something so it wasn't auto-fail. I still looked down at the keys a lot to make sure I didn't mess up, and eventually still did (typing a set of letters out of order).
With that said, the fact that this is a compo game is AMAZING! Well done 👏
A solid amount of polish on the graphics / sound given the time constraints! Especially love the animation at the end when all your collected food drops into the cauldron. I wish the initial rounds with 1-3 letters would go quicker, since it's a little tedious at the start. Also, I wish you could recover somehow when missing a letter since dying at the first mistake is brutal haha. All in all a fun one!
I never thought I'd play a game where you harvest by typing. The game is fun and looks good. I think it would be more fun if there were actual words to type instead of just random letters, especially if they were funny or even told a story.
Very polished game! I found it a bit slow at first but other than that nice entry :-)

Really great entry especially for a compo game! It feels really complete and polished with the even little things like looping round to the start screen which I find a lot of jam games lack. The audio feedback is really nice and also visually fun to see the bits go flying across the screen! Absolutely love the bucket of stuff filling up at the end too! Super satisfying to see the actual fruits of your labour haha!
I do agree the game feels a little slow to start but I think the arcade vibe is fun. Maybe having an Osu or Beat Saber style fail mechanism where a bar very slowly goes up over time but decreases when you make mistakes would be good to be a bit more forgiving for a single mistake but still punishing. It might allow you to shorten the time for each word as well speeding up the game a little. However, I totally get that something like that may be a bit further out of the time scope or you'd have to compromise on some polish to get it in.
Overall, an amazingly completed game and an great entry!
I feel like I'm back in school :sweat_smile:
I've never seen a typing Ludum Dare game, this was really unique! I love the humour you had, especially with the opening cutscene and kicking all the veggie;, it worked really well with the audio. As others have said it did start off slow, but once it ramped up and introduced multiple letters it did get challenging and quite fun! I would have love maybe some sort of life system so it was a bit less punishing, but was still pretty fun, nice work!
Nice to play something different! I now know I am in no way a touch typer! Good job
