Cool game! I find the clerics are a bit fast and hard to spot. They always kill me quickly.
I keep dying to invisible clerics (?). Anyway, it says there were clerics but I'm all alone. Can't get far in the game, unfortunately!
Graphics are nice and audio is awesome! xD I can see i'm not the only one to die to those sprinting clerics
I must admit that it was quite challenging for me at first. It took me many tries to get the hang of it, but that only made it all the more rewarding when I finally succeeded. One thing that I didn't realize until much later was that you could attack the peasants who were running to sound the alarm. Once I figured that out, it made things a bit easier for me.
I did find the screen aspect ratio a bit frustrating at times, as it felt unfair when I was moving up and down and a cleric would suddenly appear on top of me. The background music was really nice and kept me motivated as I played. I also liked the way that the peasants fell to pieces when they were attacked. The smooth movement of the player character was a bit strange, but it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the game.
Overall, I had a great time playing this game. It was challenging, but that only made it all the more rewarding when I finally succeeded. Thank you for creating such a fun and engaging experience!

@ivorius Ah, yeah.. I guess it’s not very clear that if the peasants run to ring the alarm, you will die and the end game message is no different from the one where the cleric catches you
@hitchh1k3r Awesome job! We could’ve definitely used some extra person to play the game before we release it as everything is pretty obvious to us, as we’ve made the game :D
We had some issues with the camera not acting the way we wanted, sorry about that :grimacing:
The peasants were delicious.
My only two concerns were also invisible clerics and the camera which already has been answered so. Great job! I almost cleared the game, 3 clerics left until I died from an invisible cleric. Might try again later as someone managed to finnish! :)
The music was very cool. Great idea of a game! Cool! I gotta say, it was a bit confusing to differentiate between cleric and peasant. Maybe a more drastic change in color and silhouette would help? Lastly, the movement felt a bit too fast and too abrubt of sprinting and stopping. Maybe some momentum buildup and slowdown would improve that?
Lastly, a funny thing you can do is, stand next to a building and run into it and watch the camera get confused. :D
Fun idea! I like the sort of fast-paced stealth you've designed here. Feels a bit like Assassin's Creed when you're tracking a target through the crowd and waiting until they move away from the guards. The animations are cool, too - especially have a separate run animation for every direction! I like how the character talks to themself to give the player hints and reminders about what to do. Great work recording a good variety of NPC voice lines, too. The pounce mechanic works well and is just powerful enough to take down a small group at a time, which is a fun challenge. Lots of work went into this one for a short jam - nice job!
This was an interesting marriage between action and stealth. It was all about picking your fights to determine whether you could win them or if you should come back later after picking off some stragglers. There were a few things that caused some frustration though.
The clerics don't look visually distinct enough from the townsfolk. with how fast everything moves, you really only have about a quarter-second to make the call on whether they're a cleric you need to avoid or a townsfolk you need to kill before they ring the bell.
The best score I was able to get was seven-left. I died when I charged at a civilan who was inches from the bell. But my hitbox got caught on a corner of geometry during the charge and my movement was locked out until she rang the bell. werewolfcorner.png
The game crashed a couple of times. The music kept going, but the screen was completely frozen. Here is a screenshot of the console: werewolfcrash2.png
But overall, it was fun, but frustrating since those three issues killed my three best attempts.
Beat it a few times now :D The best part is hunting for those last couple of survivor villagers. Downtown raids are also quite the fun high risk-reward thing to do.

A simple enough idea put together well. I found the camera a bit zippy and would have liked the controls to have felt different somehow. I think a bit more juice in the pounce mechanic would have been good. It ended up feeling a bit flat when killing. But for the time you had it is a solid game and no bugs to report.
Ok game, Musics and sounds were great making the mood. I appreciate you using actual dog sounds! :D. Graphics were ok.
Gameplay was a bit too fast for a sneaking game and the camera didn't see very far and was a bit jumpy when changing directions. I would have liked to play full screen but didn't know how.
Controls were solid but maybe it would have been fun if everything was a little bit slower and you could charge to pounce longer and that way build up some tension. I'm not sure if you could hide behind buildings but it would make a good mechanic if it isn't in.
I did couple of tries and managed to kill lots of peasants but didn't manage to win the game. It was still some fun when I got the hang of it :)
Fun game. The camera movement are really too fast for me (maybe i'm too old). Trying to catch peasant when they are going for the bell feels really hard. I didn't manage to kill much. The illustration on menu and art overall is really unique and cool. Congrats !
The main gameplay loop is great, it feels like playing a Moba and kitting the whole time! And the music is top notch i really loved it :)) Only issue i had, and sadly it is a big one... The camera needs to adjust a lot slower or even not at all. It feels like a game where its okay to be centered without any offset. Because if you play for longer than 20 minutes this way, your head starts hurting really bad... But all in all i tried your game and all i can say is, that it was really...

I like this game, pretty easy to get into and the gameplay loop is pretty straightforward, though initially it was hard to tell who the clerics were and which were the peasants, but that only took dying once or twice to figure out, so it wasn't really that bad :)
Will echo what @kikiriki367 and others have said though and say that the camera jolting around was pretty disorienting, either making the camera just stick directly to the character or makign the adjustments much much much more subtle would be a big improvement!
Also loved the weird VO, had to laugh with the contrast of coming to chomp on some peasants with this dramatic music in the background and then one of the peasants going "NICE SHIRT, I LIKE IT" :D
Nice work!
Heaps of fun the indicator was a nice call as I found a peasant that was hidden in a bush. The music fit and sounded nice voice overs where a nice addition and pretty smart for when your sneaking around without them knowing, makes things more fun. Only other comments I would really have is it was quite short and that when there are few peasants left it might be nice to have an indicator as to where they are from afar or maybe some other development that would change gameplay and avoid having the last bit be just wandering around till you see the last people.
