Short yes, but a really nice foundation to build open. There isn't much, but I like what I see. I guess the 'walking-sound' could get annoying in the long run, but in this short game, it just helps with making the character seem really cute.

I think that could be a great start for a good game. Currently its a little short and unpolished, but I really like the sprites.
I love you game so much. The derpy rock is my fav, best of luck to you with the results! Even though it was very very short, I really liked the premise and the cute little sound effects. I love the music btw!
The game is really short, it's a shame because I really wanted to see more! the music is quite nice but the sound associated with walking is a bit annoying after a while. The cute character design is really successful :)

Agreed with this comment! Did you draw the art and make the music yourself? Enjoyed both.

I really liked every second of it while it has lasted. Good job! How is that duck on it's back, I couldn't figure that out...

@buni @moddingmachine Thank you! :> It's the classic case of biting off more than you can chew for jam but i tried my best to at least make it have a journey-ish feel and closing.
@mathieuspooky you have a point about the walking sound, but glad you liked the characters! :>
@jaonewguy yes the art and music is made by me, glad you enjoyed them :D
@marton thank you! and that duck... you just gotta rotate your thinking around... :>

Love the character designs, it's a cute lil experience! Feels like an opening to a grand adventure aha!
Good job! Its a little short but i thought it was really cute and the music is great.
Very cute game! I think I've seen too much of Omori though because the combo of the hand-drawn pixel art look and color palette was slightly unsettling  really enjoyed the sound fx of the little root boy walking around through!

The ending music is rad! Really fun style and animation. I love the zany interactions with the duck and the rocks. The whole scene reminds me of Star Road in Mario RPG. Nice work on finishing the jam!

@chompdev thank you! It was definitely what i was going for so you nailed it :)
@hypernoodlejon would you believe i never played omori yet :eyes: but i like the potential of "slightly unsettling" even though it's too short to show it, maybe a slightly longer post-jam version after i'm done being tired of game deving

Haha, I loved this! Great music and atmosphere. A very nice little experience. I like how much character there is in a game as short as this. Good stuff!
I love the vibe, great work! It's short but you can see the effort! We discarded this kind of game because we thought it would be too challenging so I'm impressed :) Love the graphics!
this is too short!!! art was beautiful, and i loved the sound, i wish it last longer!
That one guy fell and is just going to lay there :D I liked it, short but it felt polished.
