Was a pretty interesting game to play!

The click and hold was interesting to use, I also found that timing was very important in this game. Would love some sound effects being put in!

thank you for playing! sound and music are definitely missing, and also my weakpoint :D i'll have to practice them more in the next jams. also hey, a fellow Godot4 dev. I've also enjoyed your entry quite a bit

the web version worked fine on opera. nice controls, but it took me a moment to get what I was supposed to do and to score some points. yet, cool idea and gameplay

thanks! good to know it works there. I love your game's art style by the way, very unique

Fun game! The web version didn't work for me but that might be because I'm a firebox user. The standalone worked great though. I liked trying to fling stuff into the growing zones from afar/ resulting in a mess that made things more hectic. I liked the art/textures too :)

Fun concept! I like the idea of tight time management mixed with farming. Controls were a little fiddly, especially when it comes to planting seeds, but throwing flowers out of the window was a lot of fun. There were too many planting beds I think, and the 3rd floor didn't get used at all (I'm guessing that is something that would come into play if the game were expanded). Nice work! (also, when replying to people you may want to tag them, I'm not sure they see your responses otherwise)

The system is really cool. Probably just adding the timer would made it feel more like a complete game. Some ideas: water and different types of fertilizers, places with windows to let more sun in, and different plants types with different needs (like: need to me in shadow or sun, need to watered few times or not, and so on). And a throw mechanics that depends on mouse movement. Anyway, nice game concept!

@cameron-paxton thanks for the feedback and tips! @zimny11 good ideas! If I continue on with this, I'll probably add those :)

I had so much fun but i'm not sure it's the intended way ... :DTopRoofSoil.pngSoilBottom.png

I loved the use of physics for this! I do feel the hitbox is a bit too small for things being planted, I'd love to be able to plant stuff just hitting the side of planters but it was fun running about, throwing and kicking stuff! Great concept for having a flower shop game!

@herryfabien glad you enjoyed it! but let's just keep this .. dirty little secret to ourselves ;) it's a feature, of course. Every way to have fun is intended!

treenut 2023-01-14 21:02

@sarah-alexa totally agree, the hitboxes and interactions need to be fiddled with a bit more, but i'm glad you had fun nonetheless

Cute submission! The pace of the game is fast and snappy; I like it.

Good job, the game looks good and the movement and throwing feels good!
