Nice game dude.. Has potential i think
great idea
I liked the art style and the voice coming from the gramophone is really creepy and set a weird mood (in a good way).
Unfortunatly (maybe because i'm not used to this kind of game) i was unable to discern what was expected from me.
IMHO a bit of context, a more defined goal, or the explanation of the basic mecanics (or something that tells you if you're on the right way) would be helpfull.
Great art style. Sound design was great in some places(gramophone, unlocking noises when triggering an unlock), but the ticking really got annoying after a while. Unfortunately I couldn't complete the game as clickable items like the photo inside the pillow diapered and the teacup stood itself backup. Pretty minor stuff but it unfortunately made it impossible to tell what's going on - let me know if you fix it and I'll play again.
I don't think I understand the game mechanics, and I've "solved" the puzzle 3 times. Sometimes the hands point to the same positions when I zoom in to the clock face vs the unzoomed version, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the second hand stops when I zoom, sometimes it doesn't. I was only able to find two number clues in the environment, but they didn't seem to correspond to the solution. What am I missing?
There is a bug with the order of items picked up causing the game to be soft locked. I had to reset a couple of times to proceed.
You should also blocked any input upon the final puzzle solved. I clicked out of it after hearing a sound thinking that there were more but I couldn't find any.
Overall the mood is quite nice and the puzzle is quite nice :)
Thanks for the game.Screenshot 2022-10-09 at 1.04.06 PM.png
Terrifying atmosphere :scream: . I think the clues could take a little more polishing, but overall its a solid entry, nice work!
The art style is beautiful! I got stuck on what I was supposed to do though.
@steve7411 Currently, there is a bug with the clock ticking when you have zoomed-in the clockface. It does not affect the solution, but it confusing when it happens (it is cause the clock ticks each second, but time freezes when inspecting objects, so when you inspect something right at a second interval, it will rapidly tick).
There are two main puzzles, it looks like you found the clock puzzle, were you able to open the chest? The are 3 picture clues for the clock puzzle, and one of them requires that you solve the chest puzzle.
@zwodahs Yeah, the puzzles are designed to reset periodically (as per the theme), however, some puzzle states are not reset properly leading to the issue you described in some instances.
As far as the game not ending properly, I do agree that we should have made sure that it would still proceed even if you clicked off the clock. I think this happened since we knew the solution in our testing so we didn't think to click off the clock. I think next time, we will make sure to get some blind testers to catch those sort of issues. Thanks for the feedback, I am glad you liked the game.
Nice entry, a brave concept for a JAM game. I'm glad to play something so different, congrats
Neat little escape/puzzle game, I encountered a couple softlocks but I think there's potential here.
Amazing to see an escape room game in Ludum Dare. Sadly, I wasn't able to solve it :(
Played the web version, but sadly got stuck. Figured that the numbers probably had something to do with the order I had to push the 4 buttons on the chest, but wasn't able to find them all (or make sense of the ones that I did find.)
I did not managed to finish the game :( But I liked that you made an escape room game! The art is nicely done and I like how you integrated Dalle-2 into the game in a meaningful way. You created a good athmosphere . The puzzles are a bit hard I think. But you always know what you have to do vagely. When does the game end?
