I like the visual effects
I liked the game! I like the idea of rolling dice, and using them to cast spells. The red circles and dice were a bit confusing, but other than that cool idea!
Description helped tremendously. Quirky little casting cauldron/altar, with an interesting mechanic, but ultimately very difficult. Gave it several tries. Wonder who's out there protecting all these mushrooms with magical wards?
@borgi I didn't realize I could add gifs to the description, hope that helps!
@thesmellofoxygen If I had time I'd definitely tone down the enemy spawns but the frantic endgame is close to what I envisioned. Win screen is pretty fun so hopefully some of you all get to it!
The game has a pretty cool concept!
Neat concept. There's something to rolling die and matching sigils/symbols that I find fun. Dragging the die felt like they weighed a metric ton, though. The play area also felt very constricted. A lot of screen space wasn't interactable and was devoted to showing enemies. Their position or proximity didn't seem to matter, though.
As others mentioned, the description was helpful. Nice submission!
I really like the idea and gameplay loop!
Nice idea with a dice matching game. Maybe speed things up a bit or add a roll animation? Dragging the die felt like running through mud
@shogeku 100% on both Future plans include redesigning around 3d dice for more engaging visuals and much nicer mouse movement. I was new to physics in Godot and had trouble with binding to the mouse.
I think this is a pretty innovative idea. Though toward the end I did find my self losing some interest. Don't know why, but maybe I need the dice to be a little more responsive ore make losing health more intense. Congratulations on the submission though.
@austin Thank you for the feedback! I definitely wanted to get at least a "red screen shake" on damage and "dice-feel" is on my list too
I love this game there are epic spells angry mushrooms and wacky music what is not to love?
Nice entry! Innovative idea, and a good execution! As others have said, decreasing the "weight" of the dice is my only feedback.
Interesting take on the theme. Except the dice weight mentioned above I would also suggest making the casting circle particles end more tightly and mushrooms to despawn quicker to strengthen the action effect. Making the overall gameplay faster (but not necessarily more hectic) is the way to go.
Nice Idea of casting spells with dices. Make me thing a bit of the Gmtk this summer :)
Interesting idea! As others have said: easier to move (and less sliding) dices would be great. Personally the game felt a bit slow, especially at the beginning. Overall neat entry. Good job! :)
