Thank you very much, yes the game can be won. Though the only real difference is the screen fading in black compared to fading in white (and explosion) when you lose.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

The top view makes it hard to predict, when the water is going to reach next floor. Otherwise it definitely has the Creeper World vibe (not a bad thing in my eyes!). I would also consider adjusting the amount of land you can carry or add in-between terrain levels to soften the flow of the game.

Just a little bit of sound design would move this game to a completely another level. It is fun, catching and pleasing to look at. Looking forward to a possible update!

The sound design here is on spot, controls are nice, snappy and intuitive. One thing I have problem with is an obvious lack of things to do (after you explore the closest tiles, the gameplay quickly turns stale and repetitive). I also noticed a weird behavior, when I had around 100 rounds left as I was leaving the fire,yet I died like 20 rounds later.

Nicely polished little game, I can imagine playing this again while waiting.

about weapons: Making the machinegun recoil the ship back is fine and can add a lot of strategy to the movement, but I don't think it fits well here. With hard to hit and high health enemies and small window screen (web build doesn't scale well by the way) it makes the ship too much uncontrollable. The shotgun is far superior and once I obtained it I never switched back to the machinegun.

The sound effects fit really well and bring a nice **oomph** - very satisfying! :) Overall, very solid entry!

Interesting take on the theme. Except the dice weight mentioned above I would also suggest making the casting circle particles end more tightly and mushrooms to despawn quicker to strengthen the action effect. Making the overall gameplay faster (but not necessarily more hectic) is the way to go.
