Wow! these graphics are beautiful! For ascii art it doesn't feel like it, it feels like actual textures, and they're perfectly crisp. I really love the torch flickering effect, it makes the world come alive. The little crab and wood icons are cute too.
Moving around felt really responsive and after a few tentative seconds I was flying around picking up items and lighting the place up. Felt really good. I couldn't quite figure out how to use the walls properly though, not sure if they blocked the water or not. Dodging the crabs was maybe a biit frustrating too, made me die unexpectly every time so I'd rather not go any where near them unless i had a weapon or something.
I wish there were more games like this! awesome work.

Love the ascii graphics, there's a subtle light effect on it, that really pops. The only problem with making it a browser game was that the page would sometimes scroll up or down when I moved in that direction.
I really like the text box with information on the left side describing your actions and going "delaying the inevitable", really nice and ominous :)
The "modern" ascii graphics look so good! Great entry!!
What a lovely little game. The layout was really cohesive between the event notifications, the map and the buttons. The ascii art was very soothing with the color scheme and lighting. Wish there was audio but really enjoyed it regardless. Nice work!
Simple mechanics and solid implementation.
A lovely throwback to old text adventure games.
Great work!
Great use of ASCII art, it's well done. Plays pretty well. I couldn't predict how enemies would move so I kept dying from randomly hitting crabs.
The water sim blocking the exit is a really interesting idea to add into a traditional roguelike. I did find it a hard everything else while avoiding the crabs, it felt a bit like I just had to keep moving constantly or they would get me.

Nice simple game! Love the ASCII art! It was a bit hard but still good work!!
The ascii art somehow helped sell this better than I think actual sprites would have, felt to me very similar to one of those games that I would need a wiki open on my other monitor to understand what was going on (like Dwarf Fortress?). I'm not sure if you just didn't have music or it wasn't playing for me but I left the audio rating blank just to be fair :)

Very cool. Reminds me of ADOM. A simple instruction explaining the icons and actions would help a lot!

Beautiful ascii art, and fun mazes! Nice work!
Another suggestion, besides the simple instructions people above already commented - I'd love to have audio effects to help me understand what I was doing  for I didn't look at the text all the time while moving (and even for creating some atmosphere).

Nice game. As a fan of Dwarf Fortress, I approve this art style :P
