Wow! This game has a lot going for it. The way that everything is synchronized to move with the tick of the clock really sells the vibe of time ticking away, and the dreary music just adds to the mood. The tilt shift effect is really pleasant (the low-poly clockwork vibe reminded me a lot of the intro to Game of Thrones which is cool).
It does seem like the failure state may not actually be working, the clock hit zero for me and didn't seem to do anything, I ended up clearing out the board except for one little lone archer that got up on a ledge the soldiers couldn't reach: soldiercrowd.png
If I can offer a note, I did find the actual interaction with the towers a bit hard to decipher. It was unclear when I was actually clicking on an object because there wasn't a sound or visual cue to tell me it had worked.
This is one of the more unique projects I've seen in the jam. I'd love to see this developed further!
This game was amazing! It's a really well-done game! I also had the issue where the enemies would hide on a ledge the soldiers could not reach, however.
@alex-stewart Thank you! We didn't have time to shave down all the rough edges, but I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed it overall!
@kingofspill Thank you for the great feedback! The Game of Thrones intro was what inspired it in the first place, so I'm glad to hear that we came close to the mark.
I patched the game to fix the ending bug and correct some of the interaction SFX that weren't playing.
Amazing game! Love the movement sync. I did end up with some archers out of reach, up on a hill my soldiers could not get to. Other than that, though it was fantastic. Great job!

Hey @subcreation great game! The synchronization on the movement is exquisite! For me it was difficult to understand the mechanics the two or three first tries and I couldn't find any menu to restart so I used Alt+F4. When I got the hang of it after the first resources that I collected I could flood the board with soldiers I managed to kill all of the archers but nothing happened. Here an image of my army lol

The synchronization of movement and sound are great! I think the game needs a bit of balancing as I wasn't able to fail. I could just spam click all the towers to create a massive army and kill all the archers (except for one on a ledge I couldn't get to). Cool vibe and unique concept, well done :)
Excellent game, everything about it is perfect. You did a great job. Not sure how to exit the game when I want to quit.
I had some trouble working out the mechanics, but can still appreciate the music and modelling and mood!

I also struggled with the mechanics a little. But it was interesting to play, and as was mentioned the audio, models, and synchronized animations really make this game stand out.
Wow! Perfect realisation of an idea! I like move animations which corresponds to the sound. Magical atmosphere!
Beat by beat you reach your destiny - and why resist? Pleasant atmosphere and mood! Good job!
this game is very nice, well done

Very nice game, I will just suggest to add a little bit more bright and the ability to remove orbs
Good work! :v:

This is the best game I played this jam so far. The idea is great, and the animations are so simple but they fit perfectly. And the music is very atmospheric. Took me a moment to get how to play the game but after that it was a lot of fun.
@lilkrit Thank you for the feedback, I am glad you enjoyed it!
