JgjeZv.png Perfect rhytm game, i really liked the pace.

Fun game, loved the conversation between player and ruler. The rhythmics feels good!

Taking on both rhythm games and a bunch of different gameplay types seems like a scary undertaking for a compo, full of little pitfalls to fall into, but you pulled it off. Music slaps, minigames are fun and intuitive, rhythm elements were used very well. Had a great time, would play again, good job

This was quite good! My biggest complaint is that there's no real challenge except for the arrow blocking sections, which are easily the best part. Typing the words and memorizing the symbols was completely trivial (which I suppose is better than it being way too hard, which a lot of LD games are). Also, the talking sound at the beginning is really annoying, so I was surprised when the music in the actual game turned out to be so good.

Overall, the level of polish on this game is beyond the pale by compo standards, so great job.

really fun mini games, and music! enjoyed this one a lot. A few comments: 1. first play through it took me awhile to understand that i had to use the arrow keys for the symbol choosing, i was clicking on them 2. symbols seem to give very little time on the 3rd choice 3. typing words didnt need to be typed in order

great job!

A fantasitc entry! Fun setting, great sound and visuals. Love it!

@quinn-patrick Thank you! Some of my older compo games struggled with learning curves, so I'm just glad to make one that isn't too tough. I think it's pretty amusing how you called the typing section "completely trivial" considering I've never been able to perfect it myself... as the developer. From watching people play, I've noticed different people excel at different sections, and I think that's really cool! Again, thanks for the notes.

@andy-beers I was worried about the emblem memory controls because I noticed some people didn't see the arrows at the top (or they thought the "choosing" was part of what they had to remember), but I'm glad you were able to figure it out before giving up. Thank you for the comments!

Also, quick side-note for anyone browsing the comments:

The button at the bottom with the crossed-out E lets you toggle "evitable" mode, which lets you play the whole song without getting interrupted by a win. Realizing I didn't really make that clear, but thought it would be a good idea to add before the deadline since some people might want to go for a perfect score!

this is the first game i've played for the jam and we're off to a great start! this was a great entry. the second i opened the game and there was this weird/funny musical gibberish talk it put me in a good mood.

i suppose my only comment would be that the memorize the symbol mini-game wasn't super clear at first, i was able to figure it out on the second try though.

good job! 👍

Sounds and graphics are great! So much fun :)

Although, as @andy-beers mentioned, too little time is given on 3 item when memorizing

I really like the music. I made a rithm game before and know how hard it is to time everything just right on the beat. Kudos to you. Really good implementation. I had fun hitting evenyting on the beat and found myself grooving to the music. It was a good idea to split the song into meaningful parts and switch the mechanics up, so the game won't get boring. All in all a very cool entry. I had fun.

:) Very interesting a fun collection of mini-games! I like the art, and the music is great. It could use some more sound effects. Lots of good dialog and story line elements! Very good game!

anton4ik-dev 2022-04-07 17:15

You have a lot mechanics for your small game and bugs too but they are really rare. I also don't understand what I need to do in the start but it's ok for JAm too because you don't have much time on the weekends. Oh and I forgot abot the music. It's cool and match good for your game but sometimes it was annoying. Well done(i wanted to say guys but you are only one wow)

Great and fun game, but I wish there was some feedback when I missed or made a mistake.

kylazaur 2022-04-09 11:26

This was great, extremely different take on type but then there was more to it which kept it fresh, good stuff, good entry!

frogravity 2022-04-09 18:38

Really nice game! I loved the sound and graphics, and I didn't expect such a large collection of mini-games. The dialogues were pretty funny too. Personally, I found the shield looping around when reaching the end counter-intuitive, but it's probably just me. Other than that, great entry!

taximan981 2022-04-14 12:00

Increasing difficulty? UI fading instead of snapping?? An intro and victory state??? The polish on this game is insane. And that's not even mentioning the music! Really well done

oller125 2022-04-20 20:46

A rhythm game with great music to match! I found the flying arrows part a little too hard towards the end but that's just a complaint of my own skill.

Good afternoon suggest an affordable service where you can find a lot of different music without copyright. I would like to use the music to write my own music track. Or even a few tracks.

2022-05-27 09:58

Isn't it easier to take small pieces of music that are already ready and create your own music from them? After all, that's what most musicians do. Or do you want to pass off your music as your own?

2022-05-27 09:59

I need ready music to dilute my music playlist, I work as a DJ and I don't have much time to create a new playlist entirely from my music. That's why I'm looking for quality music without copyrights.

2022-05-27 10:02

I can recommend several services with quality music. I myself sometimes take music there for myself, but not to use it in my playlists, though with a change. I mostly use such music for advertising, so that commercials are not blocked by right of possession requirements. The best service no copyright music https://inaudio.org/ is inaudio. There's a huge amount of music in different categories. The quality of the music is all excellent.
