Wow what a unique game. I had fun.

Wow what a unique game. I had fun.
Really fun unique and innovate game but some game mechanics could be explained
Very fun to play with the controller. Understanding the rules was part of the fun. It took me a long time to beat the first level with a dog because I did not realize you had to be "angry" to open doors
Really nice use of the soundtrack. I think this game is really creative, the one thing that isn't perfect for me is level design: the challenge ideas are good but some of the level details felt a bit random and didn't contribute to the challenge or esthetic of the level. But it's a really good entry overral!
Hey @theviraldragon @indiemoose @dekajoo @gibss
Thanks a lot for playing this!
I found some time to revisit levels before the jam deadline and take your feedback into account!
Feel free to have a go at it again, discover a whole new level, and see if you can save the puppy :dog:
Or just leave it be, it's a tough game
It took me a good long while to figure out what I was doing, but I was thoroughly enjoying exploring the world/interactions the entire time! I would have loved if the levels made more use of the floaty physics of the wobbly hero, because he was very fun to throw around, but he wasn't great at platforming against 90 degree walls - Having some more rounded slopes to guide his movement might have helped make navigation easier.
Overall though, I *really* enjoyed playing this game! All of the little interactions with the NPCs were charming in their simplicity, and a lot of fun to figure out. The audio was also great - I loved the music especially - It did really well to set the mood of your game.
I tried to get access to the html link and it shows like this. Is this normal?微信截图_20211004230623.png
OMG this game is soooooooo fun to play with! One of my personal favorites in this LD jam! I just love how you deal with the control to make it rotating and tricky to manipulate. The art style is also elegant, and the audio is intriguing! (Is that a calculator?) I am following you guys, and Good Job on this jam!
lolol what a cool mechanic :D hard and fun game loved everything about it, the visuals, music, game feel, vibes ___ i wish it explained what you're supposed to do with all those people a bit more and had a slightly tighter feel (i think i got stuck too often and it got kinda frustrating) ___ great job overall!
There are lots of good ideas in this. The movement is fun. The mood element is thematic, I know, but it's also the least fleshed out. Room to grow!
Quite complete game! Unfortunately I couldn't find the puppy. I love how the SFX is quite simple but it fits so nice with the game.
I really loved the game, the gameplay is fun. I don't understand why the dog makes you blue? I want to push him in the water! It feels like an American game. dogs can't die or get hurt. I laugh a lot.
Thanks everyone for playing and leaving comments!
@koolruz yep, there is some missed opportunity with slopes and movement physics, I just now realize the potential, might give it a shot for a post-LD version, thanks for mentioning it!
@foursay I confirm that the warning is harmless (updated the description to mention that), I just don't know how to set up my webserver correctly  The calculator is a Pocket Operator from Teenage Engineering. I bought it especially for this jam, it was excellent and super easy to use, I very much recommend it. The model I used is PO-12 Rhythm. I made 4 tracks of the same length, played them all at the same time, and just crossfaded between them based on the current mood.
@peco good point about the tighter feel, I think it also relates to the suggestion of slopes above, I'm making a note of it. We made a few more intro levels but I took them out of the final build, seems like it was a bit too much to cut...
@maxathon thanks for the feedback, I wish we had more time to make use of the various ways moods propagate. Originally we wanted to model real human responses such as fight or flight, empathy, but the levels had to be thrown together a bit quickly  If you have concrete suggestions for fleshing this out, feel free to make them, I'll be reading this thread!
@juanlu The puppy is on scene 3, you just have to find a way to get to it! Should happen naturally as you play, but feel free to focus on the last level.
@fractale The first puppy (your puppy) makes you sad because it's locked inside. The next puppy makes you sad because it's not your puppy. Others puppies later make you happy though! It's not an american game, we're French, Ukrainian and Swiss  but yes, puppies are great, don't hurt them! I'm glad this made you laugh!
The game was interesting, but I also didn't know what was going on for most of it.
this one is great! thank you for giving me a nostalgia :), because the game feels like one of those flash games from the past! like if red ball was combined with sola rola. really good. unfortunately i think it's too hard to balance a hero and control a jump impulse and level complexity seems inconsistent.
Super cool! The only downside would be being able to get softlocked on physics objects, but everything else is surely 5/5
Honestly highest scores I gave so far. When I read the controls I was like oh no, I'll have to aim AND jump? But you made it work so well, I spent almost an hour playing. And so many nice details. You clearly had fun making this. And you covered the theme in more than one way. But getting reset all the way to the start at secret lab level was too much for me. And being blackmailed by a trapped puppy is more of a trigger than anything. Proper LD game, well done guys.
@neputevshina @kr4ft3r I'm happy you enjoyed this
It's hard to balance your own game, and I thought that the secret lab level couldn't possibly be so hard, so I figured I'd record a 100% playthrough...
So, if you want to laugh at/with me, take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hf11scBpNbA
It's 6 minutes of going through the first 10 levels, then 18 minutes struggling to get a full clear of the lab
So yeah, lesson learned on this one, thanks for your feedback!
*for anyone who wants closure about the puppy, skip to 9:00 then to 24:00*
Easy to learn, difficult to master! Visuals were well done!
Btw I just realized I wasn't able to make the key point on why I liked the game so much, so here it is - most devs here end up having to pick whether they'll make something with deep meaning or something with good gameplay, and this game manages to do both. Along with simple but effective visuals and multifaceted theme coverage, this entry should score high if there is any justice in the world.
Fun game :) I struggled at first with the controls but after some minutes you feel very okay with it :)
It really takes a while to get behind the controls but the movement is pretty fun once it clicks.
The different behaviours with the mood swings are a good concept but i feel like the level design holds it back. You are almost always back in 'angryland' and dont need to play strategically with the different moods (maybe i just hoped for more puzzles).
The levels werent too hard for my taste just a bit confusing (why does the antidote open doors/make you ill). I have still no idea how the star system works though. Do i need to make them happy or something?
I like the suggestions of ramps from above. Seems like a fitting addition to the movement.
TLDR: Very nice movement and concept but maybe make the levels/goals a bit clearer.
Nice game! I struggled with the controls, but i guess this was intentional. Let the player change the level with a button is very interesting. Nice Job!
This game is really fun and creative! Loving platformers it is a very refreshing one, great job!
Solid entry with some creative, mildly crazy, yet surprisingly fun mechanics.
Level design was solid and clearly tried to guide the player towards the solution where possible, with lots of resets.
Nice work!
