I don't really understand how much control I have over the simulation. I crack open a stable, there's horses of 3 colors... and I'm meant to beat the other horses? But I didn't really understand what a good way to do that would be. Take my horses to fight some other ones, then eat some trees, then repeat? I'm still not sure.

My strategy is to get a group of horses, get the most trees possible and try to avoid confrontations in the beginning. If you do this you're probably going to be on the majority when all stables are destroyed. I didn't implement any AI so you have a good advantage when compared to the other teams even if the place gets chaotic.
Fun little chaos. Understood the game on 3rd playthrough. Won at 4th. It took me a while to realise that unselecting horses makes them go wild (at first it seemed that horses remember what to do for only little while). Couldn't really see any impact from cutting down trees though.

The game is interesting, but I find it quite short. Things tend to stop being interesting after you break the first few stables. It's mainly just a lack of things to do once all the horses are out and fighting each other. Apart from that though it functions well, minus one issue where some horses will turn upside down and go to the top or bottom of the screen (are they dead maybe?).

Hah. Unstable stables  Interesting really. First I thought I can only select one horse, which made sure I loose. Second I realized I need to select as many i can so i can beat everyone. Sometimes selection did not seem to work, maybe my fault. Anyhow I think you are unto something, it would be an interesting mechanic if you could only select one or a subset of horses, and maybe we would have some info on how many horses we have in each stable or with some barriers-walls on the map so you could strategize a bit. Anyway I had great fun watching how the horses were running around! Great job. BTW -- the moving dead horses were a real distraction. They should have stayed where they died or even disappear. Lastly - i could not resist this yellow background on your thumbnail image i had to click it!!!

Nice play on words. The controls are confusing
The enemy had no answer for my strategy of **"grouping my units up"** and were dispached with alactrity. With my enemy defeated I headed for the top left and died from touching whatever was there... did I win?
Nice take on the theme! It's almost the same take that I had on the theme "Un-stable" but with a more RTS-like control scheme.
The screen shake effects and the random AI behaviors were well done and added a sense of weight and autonomy to the game. I liked how there was also the possibility of AI in-fighting, as far as I could tell.
On the other hand, the game starts a bit too slowly since it takes a few hits to gather up more horses. A greater variety of sprites would make destroying things more fun as well.

Horses! Oh god the horses! This was really interesting. I found it to be delightfully weird. Veeeery unstable.
Neat little game, I came for the apocalypse and I stayed for the upside down horses :) It was a little hard to distinguish my horses from the enemy ones though.. maybe a different silhouette would have helped?

I really loved this one. It reminded me of NetLogo simulations we did in University. I loved seeing the chaos unfold. Very amusing. And I won on the first try, sweet!

@silkworm-sweatshop perhaps a rogue inside the pile of bodies, they can be sneaky...

@gale-swift it could help, there might be colour blind people who can't distinguish them either
I was totally attracted by the funny cover!
Then I find it is a horse-kill-horse game which is also funny and I love the comically shaking horse's legs.

Interesting simulation style game. Took me a few goes to get a handle on what I think is going on under the hood. Thanks for putting this together!

I like the idea of a wild horse unless it's selected

The lack of even simple music makes it kinda grinding to watch.
At first I was pretty confused at what was going on, but once I realize I could drag to select multiple horses I felt like I had the power of a God. Just mowing down stables with my army of horses felt really good. I ended up winning with just 2 survivors in the end, which felt like 300. Not to brag but I won on the first try. Going for trees did help a lot. Really enjoyed the game, good work.
